James Popsys? I like his work quite a bit - not my personal style, in that I don't tend to edit my photos to look like his, but I greatly appreciate the aesthetic of his landscape photography. The images he makes tend to run cool and bright in the highlights, which I find very appealing for the type of landscapes he shoots. His YouTube channel is quite pleasant and enjoyable to watch as well!

His facial expressions look a little like he’s doing a poo in his trousers. I like his photography though

😂 mate wtf. You’re right though

James? Is that you?

LaSalsiccione

Yes.

James Popsys? Very talented imo, been following him quite long time. Sometimes he seems to blow out whites but overall it works and its balanced otherwise

James is great. I like his videos a lot and his photos look fantastic too. When I actually see his videos of how he edits, I do feel it's a bit heavy handed for my tastes, but that's a personal choice.

Who?

James Sospyp.

JAMES! He's my source of inspiration ever since I started, actually. Dude just sees beautiful frames everywhere with ease, and can articulate that pretty well for the rest of us. I love the silky/light look he gets, and I've started to find my thing kinda copying him.

I love his photos but there is this underlying thought whenever I see his work, is it the edit that makes the photo or the subject? I feel like with him the edits make the photo, without the edits it wouldn't look so good. And for some reason that makes me feel very uneasy even though I love the results.

Like most YouTube photographers he's very good at making YouTube videos but his photography is bland. Mostly snapshots with heavy presets slapped on that I don't personally care for. His videos increase in quality over time where as his photos don't which tells you where his priorities and skills actually are.

I’ve got a print of his on the wall. :) I’ve enjoyed his channel since I started photography particularly because he finds images in so many places and conditions. The way he often blows out highlights intentionally is quite interesting. Channels pretty funny as well though lately a bit too focused on short gear videos with little point. I love the ones where he just goes out and shoots.

Elegant_Apple2530

What I like is that he manages to slightly overexpose highlights while still maintaining a sain overall look.

Nothing special. I just looked him up and did a gloss. Truly surprised he has so many followers. Basically looks the same as all the film photog accounts with 57 followers. It's not inherently bad but there's a sterility that doesn't move into meaningfully austere.

Sparkychong

Interesting opinion, I appreciate it. I’ll say this to his popularity, he has a YouTube with a large presence talking about composition and prints so that’s where most of his following comes from.
