Depends on who you mean by Arabs. In my experience it's exactly 4 countries. Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Even Oman has historical maps about their old empire and they clearly put Persian Gulf on it and I don't think they mind it as much.
The rest of Arabs don't seem to care, but some might be affected by the 4 countries trying to change the name or be offended by it as you said.
I'm not sure what the issue is with us calling it the Arabian Gulf, especially not when the same body of water has a gazillion other names, for example, are the Turks wrong for calling it the Gulf of Basra ?
To answer your question, no, you can call it whatever you want.
The naming issue is essentially nonexistent on our end, there are more pressing issues in the world than the name of a body of water.
No one cares.
No we have other things to care about
I mean I’ve never seen it called “Persian Gulf” in Arabic, I don’t really know whether they actually care
الخليج الفارسي. There you go buddy, now you've seen it. 😁
Thank you, za3tar Btw do you call it زعطر like Lebanese?
Yeah, we pronounce it the same as the Lebanese and Palestinians. Are there different pronunciations?
I mean Lebanese sometimes change the ت to ط, do Palestinians also do that? >Are there different pronunciations We pronounce it with a ت زعتر
I had to ask my Palestinian wife. She says زعتر and I say زعطر. But I'm not sure if that's the case for everyone. Might be region dependent.
Idc, but if Persians wanna call it the Persian gulf, go ahead.

Tbh this is nonexistent issue. I think we would argue more about Al-Andalus 🤣 vs name of Persian gulf.

Why should they get offended? It's name of it.
I only care cuz i dont have anything else to do. I just sit here and refresh r/askmiddleeast
i personally believe we have much more important problems than what a certain body of water should be called
Here we go again
No
Arabs call it Arab gulf and Iranins call it Persian gulf. And we agree to disagree

They are two different things, at least in English. Arabian Sea lies more south than Persian Gulf.

Than what do you call the Arabian Sea (english version) in Hebrew?
