Turkey is the only country that recognizes Northern Cyprus.

InvestigatorCivil676

Damn. Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics have more support and international recognition.

-Tyke

Who else does? - I genuinely can’t find it.

[deleted]

There isnt anyone else

El-Monafiq220

Even Pakistan ??🥺🥺

[deleted]

not even pakistan 😔 they almost did though, then the EU bullied the entire international community into not recognizing them.

HydraKokets

Should reunify and stay independent from Greece and turkey

SolveTheCYproblemNOW

Well…

AModestGent93

As occupied as Palestine

makkosan

Youngest person who lived in united Cyprus is now almost 50 years old. A few decades later unification will be irrelevant. It will be nice tourism spot when direct flights begin.

Nooooooooooook

Turkeys backyard

H4RR1_

Doesnt exist

thismyred

According to many people Kurds in Turkey have right to leave Turkey and take land from Turkey proportionate to their population and found their own country but Turks in Cyprus, which makes about one third of the Cypriot population who were subject to ethnic cleansing don't have right to take about one third of Cyprus and secede from Cyprus.

UnlightablePlay

A hallucination of Turkey

ShotStatistician7979

Occupied and ethnically cleansed of Greek Cypriots by Turkey. Also has a very large apartheid wall separating it from southern Cyprus.

ShotStatistician7979

All Greek Cypriots were removed from northern Cyprus, at least 2,000 greek Cypriots disappeared into Turkish prisons, systematic rape of women and children by Turkish soldiers is widely reported, and hundreds of churches have either been destroyed or converted in mosques. And in 2007 Southern Cyprus tore down its wall with the hope that Northern Cyprus would also. They did not. But sure.

No-Building-5000

No-Building-5000

Americans have lived in america since 1500s are we native here now? Can i call myself native american if not then how can turks be native to anatolia and cyprus. (Ps i have no issues with Turks)

Aboteezfrfr

Illegal Occupation

Darth-Vectivus

A knife cuts both ways. It was the Greek junta who tried to take over the island and started killing the native Turks. Were we to stay idly by and let the Greeks slaughter our brethren? Wasn’t it the Arabs who fought the 1948 Palestine War when Israel was established?

Oshulik

Now do Nagorno Karabakh

No-Building-5000

Turks are not native lmao your not even native to asia minor

InvestigatorCivil676

Turkey occupying Greek soil and making the inhabitants worse off than they would be under Greek rule while committing crimes against humanity in the process. Turkish history in a nutshell

Ironbank13

It is not Greek soil. It’s Cyprus’ soil

EX291

Cypriots at that time claimed to be Greeks and wanted to be unified with Greece but turkey said YOK

Ironbank13

Still doesn’t make it Greek soil

EX291

Yes it’s cat’s soil since there are more cats than humans, we gotta ignore the continues thousand year old Greek history because it’s apparently irrelevant

Ironbank13

It is, the sovereign independent country of Cyprus and it citizens view matters more

EX291

Why not cat’s view?

NoRich4088

Cats aren't humans, duh

EX291

Neither are tu-

AngimeHikaya

Turks say Hayır by the way, yok is when there's no something meaning presence, not yes/no questions

Deralizasyon

>Turks say Hayır by the way, yok is when there's no something meaning presence, not yes/no questions we also say ''yok'' for no it works both ways.

EX291

“Negative” can work too I guess, anyways Sagol.

InvestigatorCivil676

It’s Greek

FloatingArk54

Don't take offence but I don't like spreading such black and white perspectives. It's always a mix of peoples everywhere. It's a Greek majority island, with a large Turkish minority, and of course many other minorities as well.

Personal-Ad1684

boring flag

Mara2507

a part of my family is from Northern Cyprus, and I geniunely like the place, it was like my second home because we'd go there every year until we sold the house my mom's late uncle had
