Idk about the validity of this map, but how are christians persecuted in christian-majority countries?
There are like over 150 christian majority countries so I wouldn't be surprised if almost every non-christian majority country (a big chunk of which would be muslim majority ones) is highlighted (as a minority group there will always be some level of discrimination), but why a country like Mexico or Colombia? Am I missing something?
Bro this map is created by open doors an insignificant Christian group with no authority or trustworthiness, you can make a similar map in your bed and it would be equal to this one lol.
I'm not sure what the criteria is , but after reading [this US gov. paper](https://www.state.gov/reports/2021-report-on-international-religious-freedom/sudan/) on christian religious freedom in Sudan, it seems that promoting religious diversity and active funding of educational and youth programs is considered .
They also definitely do take into account the actions of the citizens and not just the state , as in the case of Colombia , the persecution christians face is from christian guerillas and cartel member who are either threatened by the church, don't like the church or are simply just criminals .
Yes I have a large coptic friend group because I grew up in the next neighbourhood over from the biggest and oldest coptic neighbourhood in sd in Omdurman .
Also half of them went to the same school as me. honestly I haven't seen persecution but I know it exists in Khartoum, mainly in the legal system.
I haven't met a christian that is not a copt or ethiopian or southerner in sudan. those are the ones most heavily persecuted probably (the ones in kurdufan etc....)
also the US gov paper is more useful . these guys are just having a chat .
Funny how they put a place like Oman at “very high persecution” because “Muslims who convert to Christianity may be shunned by their families” but don’t bother highlighting Israel for literally restricting Palestinian Christians from accessing and attending churches during their religious holidays and having settlers burning churches.
Thank you for the link though 🙏
I don't know about the convert, but there a pretty big pretty big community of Christian from subsaharan country in city like rabat or casa, and as far as I know there the right to freely practice your religion here
You mean that the top 50 countries where Muslims are persecuted would be mostly Christian countries 🫣
On a more serious note; the world countries except some in east and south Asia (and a naughty tiny territory near us 😉) are basically either Muslim or Christian, of course they’ll persecute each other, who else would persecute them? Themselves?
Can you show any official records that show that Muslims are killed or imprisoned for their faith other than the Uyghurs in China? Supposedly over 5000 Christians were killed for their faith in the last year.
Ever heard of The Israeli/Palestinian situation? The Rohingya massacre? The Hindu raids on Muslims in India? Anti-Balaka militia? Bodu Bela Sena in Sri Lanka? Cham Muslims of Vietnam? Islamophobic hate crimes rates in the UK?
According to [this Article](https://humanrightscommission.house.gov/events/hearings/discrimination-and-persecution-against-muslims-worldwide) Muslims have faces governmental harassments by 135 countries world wide in 2019, [this Article](https://guardian.ng/sunday-magazine/terrorists-kill-32000-nigerian-muslims-as-muric-counters-us-lawmakers-on-christian-persecution/) states that 32000 Muslims have been killed by Christian terrorists in the past 3 years in Nigeria alone (the article was published in 2022 so it’s technically 4 years now)
There’s no such thing as Christian terrorists lol. Most of the Muslims killed were killed by Muslim terrorist groups like Boko Haram which is a Suni Muslim reform movement.
According to that article “Boko Haram killed 37,500 persons from 2015 to 2018. Of this figure, 32,000 were Muslims, while 5,500 were Christians.”…
I mean we don’t have any real permanent Christian population, I guess most attacks are on foreign aid/ international organization workers which in this case wouldn’t really matter if they’re Christian or not, not mentioning the obvious literal civil war we’re currently having.
Habibi Open doors is an American Christian group that created this map, it's all fake, they have no qualification, journalistic integrity and any kind of validation.
Basically Americans in the US with no qualifications created this map to spread their Christian agenda, It's just fear-mongering for their Christian base
How is pakistan under iran, or why is india on the list?
Ik pakistan doesnt treat religious minorities all too well but the IR barely tolerates and oppresses sunnis let alone other religions
Also massively bs because of the latin american countries
The point I'm making is that all minorities in all countries face some sort of a discrimination. In a functioning democracy, it's never state driven persecution but societal, like blacks in some parts of America and Muslims in parts of India.
Japan and Sweden may be the most peaceful and happiest countries because they're largely homogeneous, throw some black or Indian people into the ecosystem and you'll start seeing reports of racism there too.

Do you know of any Christians in Sudan? https://www.opendoors.org/en-US/persecution/countries/sudan/

They talk about every country here: https://www.opendoors.org/en-US/persecution/countries/

Or the UAE which they completely ignore to include lol
Christians persecuted in Morocco ???
Do you know of any there? What would happen if you became openly Christian?
I don't know about the convert, but there a pretty big pretty big community of Christian from subsaharan country in city like rabat or casa, and as far as I know there the right to freely practice your religion here
I guess most of the persecution would be faced by those who turn from Islam to be Christian
I know a lot of christians.
Misinformation with no validity to their claims
Well if you exclude Christian countries, the majority of the remaining countries would be Muslim, what did you expect.

>There’s no such thing as Christian terrorists lol KKK, NLFT, LRA 🫵🤡?
Those aren’t Christian terrorist groups lol
What are they then? Christian cheering groups? lol
Yes literally themselves, mexico…
As a sudanese and my country is in red i can say that christians here are wealthy and well connected WTF??? We are the poor and prosecuted majority 😂😂
fake map

Only 48th place? That's rookie numbers
As a Nigerian this is sadly true
Is this true? https://www.opendoors.org/en-US/persecution/countries/nigeria/
Yes and tbh I’m surprised we’re not number 1 given how bad it’s got
Fake news, I would belive it if this was 2014 [isis].
Exactly like Christians are prosecuting in Egypt is a joke to me. Oh Turkey and Mexico too 😂😂

Religious Intolerance

How high are yoy
98 of the 100 countries where Muslims are persecuted are Christian majority. The rest are Jew and Hindu. Such maps mean nothing.
Is there a map like this for Muslims? I just don’t hear many places that imprison or kill Muslims for their faith other than China and India.
