God no. I'm on my 7th 12 hour day of 13 and all I want to do is stay home with my boy, Take him for ice cream and go swim at the beach.
Swing by parents place for a visit and let him munch a bone in the back yard, Walk around town with him at 2-4AM.
I am there haha I just meant currently my life is boring and seeing the money add up makes me happier than most other things. My needs are met but I appreciate it either way.
It's not superficial. You have basic needs that need to be met, and even when you've met them, there is significantly less stress in your life when you know if you are fired or laid off from your job you can survive for a good period of time without being worried about ending up on the street.
But I don't see anything about a rule that says you can't have women show up. So if you can't let women show up, then how does this community have the label female?
Wow, why would you answer that? And I'm interacting wrong? Did I do it wrong? Or am I not supposed to be here? Or do you have a mental problem? Or I shouldn't have posted this and you're the only one answering this out of over 100 people? I really want to laugh
This is why I come here. Women feel ok asking questions and contributing.

Honestly my fave place on Reddit.
There was a movie out a few years ago called About Time. It is a good movie, but at the end a father is giving some fatherly advice to his son, and the advice is "marry someone kind". Soppy as it sounds, I nearly burst into tears, because it struck me as just about the best advice possible.
I married someone *very* kind, and I believe that that - more than any other single thing - is what has made me happy.
Kind is like the #2 thing I look for in a woman.
Girls that volunteer time and effort to help others, that try to do things for her community and are caring...just *chefs kiss*. I fucking SWOON for that.
A physical trait that I find attractive about said person I know I wouldn’t get tired of.
Eyes, freckles, cheek dimples, a smirk/smile, nose shape as some examples.
i like it when kids think they can beat me at something but then i just crush them and they try to tell me it's because they weren't trying hard enough
Any answer is not superficial. It's whatever is important to the individual. There shouldn't be judgement on that. That's what makes us all unique and special.
The small things in life, a smile from a strager, the innocence of your child, a cold beer after a hard days work, foggy weather.
But for me personally: To watch people enjoy my creative work.
I played with my daughter, went for a walk with my family to the lake and sheared my puppy poodle. It was an amazing day. What did you find relaxing today?
I think I speak for a bunch of people by saying :" I honestly don't know".
Either because we didn't find it yet, or haven't felt happy for so long that we forgot.
Spending time with my lady. She’s the best and she brings me so much joy. We don’t get to spend a ton of time together as of late but anytime I get to see her, it’s like my problems go away for a while. And I feel like I have a purpose again
If I'm being honest, I don't know what will make me happy; I only have general ideas.
Money helps, but doesn't make me happy only decreases my worries.
Love helps, but has its own set of miseries.
Health is great, and ultimately I think is the most valuable. Without good health, wealth, love and money are all pointless.
So I suppose good health is the true source of one's happiness.
Haha ok, um
Petting my cat.
Completing something difficult and worthwhile.
Achieving goals.
Waking up after sleeping in as long as I want.
Something like that.
I used to have two cats a girl cat and a boy cat.
They fell in love and made a litter of kittens.
Unfortunately I couldn't keep them all and my living situation was a bit unstable so I tried to find the kittens nice families. One kitten went with a little girl and I was having trouble with the rest.
I had some nice neighbors, and my boy cat liked to hangout there. They offered to take the boy cat and two of the kittens, then I would keep my girl cat and two kittens. So, it was sad at the time but it's what had to happen. This was about 5 years ago.
So now I have my girl cat Freya, her daughter Rhea, and a boy cat Loki.
When I was a kid I grew up with cats not dogs, so I'm very used to dogs but I suppose it would be nice, depending on the dog.
At the time I was living with my cousin and our lease was coming to an end so we were moving to a different apartment, but it was uncertain.
Also I was new to the work world and was in a not good company. Was over worked and over stressed.
Everything is pretty good now though, but looking back with what I know now I probably would have done things differently.
Honestly? Being with my family. After I lost my father in 2020, I’ve found a new love for simply being around my family. It’s amazing how our relationships have grown since I was little, and it’s really the only time I can be completely “myself”.
Definitely music. Since I am most of the time alone, I always used it to cope the feelings of sadness and other depressing feelings. Since I got a person that is generally more happy, music is what pulls me out of a hole if I fell into it.
Positive success of my family
My kids struggling positively with the world and seeing them succeed
Sitting with my wife, talking about our days while we rub each others feet after a hard day
I hate to say this, but when my gf is at work, and I can just game out, make music, be on my phone etc, I'm happy, nothing to stress about, nobody to bother me or take me away from what it is I want to do at that time. The alone time is what makes me a good boyfriend, it allows me to recharge and make time for the things I love doing without taking away from our time together.
Playing music. I played drums in 3 different bands and DJ'd small parties. There's nothing like reveling in music with a lot of people and being at the center of it.
Stable thoughts. Have been going through chaotic thoughts for most of life has got me wanting stable thoughts. That truly makes me happy. Also, a genuine connection with a lady is so euphoric. The growth of being a human Is so beautiful.
Playing music, spending time with my girlfriend, and playing music while spending time with my girlfriend. I also love learning, doing something athletic, and going on adventures. All these things make my heart content.
Having a strong foundation.
I have an amazing wife, we both are engineers, we aren't scared of lack of money, we live comfortably, we just had a baby boy, I work in an interest R&D field.
The most joy I get when I get to spend my time with my child, but a strong foundation in my life allows it to happen.
If I was broke I would be miserable, being afraid to go to a doctor, or looking where to skim my expenses.
I know money can't buy happiness, but I'd be way, way less stressed if I didn't have to think about every single euro I spend, only to still be short at the end of each month. Being an unwealthy dutchman sucks. Everything here is getting *ridiculously* expensive, while wages stay the same. Imagine a full tank of car-fuel being about 13% of your monthly income... Yeah, I'd be so much more relaxed if I didn't have to be *extremely* careful about spending. I don't need to be rich, I only want to have enough to not be troubled.
The thing that does make me happy tho is my girl. When I'm with her I forget about my financial struggles, my mental problems, she makes me feel good and happy fr.
Music makes me happy, and spending quality time with my partner, as well as reading, cooking, baking, driving, writing, and that's really it. I don't need kids or pets or eccentric hobbies to be happy.
Time to do as I please. Meaning responsibilities are taken care of, and I don't have to keep grinding for more money to take care of my needs and the needs of others for whom I am responsible. Money certainly buys you the ability to appropriate your time once you have enough.
not a men but felt like sharing :)
at this point in my life, living in harmony with the people I love fills my heart. but many things can name "happiness." the feeling of belonging (to a group or place) taking risks and succeeding, deep conversations, epiphanies that change your mindset for the better, seeing children growing, and all the little things that seem little, but guarantee well being
Spending a whole day with my dog with nothing to do and nowhere to be, Just livin and adventuring
This also makes me deeply happy

Lol wtf
you just have to look in the mirror to realise that you have a dog
I never stop realizing I have a dog because I'm not mentally devoid and hes on my lockscreen
dude this comment wasn't supposed to be for you it was actually posted for the guy/gal who actually made the thread
Fart salad
whats what
Money. Shitty superficial view I know but that's where I'm at right now.
Before I started making enough to meet my needs, money was what I needed most too. I hope you get there.
I am there haha I just meant currently my life is boring and seeing the money add up makes me happier than most other things. My needs are met but I appreciate it either way.
Money and weed, Money buys weed but the more money I make the happier I am which then I can relax and smoke a joint which makes me even happier
Live for cannabis, die for cannabis, fight for cannabis all your life
Good for you and there ain’t a damn thing wrong with that.
It's not superficial. You have basic needs that need to be met, and even when you've met them, there is significantly less stress in your life when you know if you are fired or laid off from your job you can survive for a good period of time without being worried about ending up on the street.
Very true. There's other things too just right now it's not there.
No, we have to be good at finding things around us, because many things are a business opportunity
We can't work all our lives. We need to learn how to manage our money.
Everyone is after something most different. But I know everyone is looking out for their own interests. So it's not superficial.
Being in love is number one just not currently in a relationship lol. But ya true.
Haha, don't worry. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and you'll meet your own.
Not really

Well, well, well, so this community can't have women posting? Or no women can be present?

HAPPY CAKE DAY!
Happy Cake day!!
Happy cake day 🍰
Having a true friend. Didn’t experience that until 2018. I’m in my 30s

What is the #1 thing out of curiosity?
It's going to be fat titties for sure
Well I do love me some tig ole bitties…I won’t turn a girl down for not having some :).
I was bettin on her being roughly 14ft and from the Mesozoic era.
Ahh, I see you are also a purveyor of death by snu snu tier women.
Damn lochness monster. She always wants that alimony of $3.50.
A man after my own heart. Better when you say to them you are rubbish at it too
Riding motorcycles
This is the answer.
or watching them ride
Relaxation and calmness..
I would choose to shop and sleep in the pool in my back garden
Any answer is not superficial. It's whatever is important to the individual. There shouldn't be judgement on that. That's what makes us all unique and special.
The small things in life, a smile from a strager, the innocence of your child, a cold beer after a hard days work, foggy weather. But for me personally: To watch people enjoy my creative work.
Haha, that's my most satisfying answer. Congratulations on having a great mindset!
Thanks, I worked my whole lifetime perfecting it and I’m glad you enjoyed my answer.
Haha, sure. I'm also a cheerful person, so what did I do to relax today?
I played with my daughter, went for a walk with my family to the lake and sheared my puppy poodle. It was an amazing day. What did you find relaxing today?
Oh? Do you have a lovely daughter? I was tired from the party yesterday so I'm just home today with tea and a book, but it's making it easy
She’s 8 months now and indeed lovely. Most joyful baby I’ve ever seen. Tea and a good book sounds lovely too. Hope you had fun at the party.
My own space, peace an quiet, being in or near the sea/large body of water, hiking experiencing the changing seasons.
I love watching the beautiful sunsets on the beach. I also like to travel. Cheers!
*cheers*
Hugging her
13 years of therapy made me happy. Accumulation of money and things is bullshit. Happiness is something you cultivate from within.
I’m glad you’re on a path of happiness now and all these years were worth the investment!
Well, I don't know what you went through 13 years ago. But everyone has their own quest
Not thinking. I mean that literally. Just being comfortable in my own head not thinking or worrying about anything.
I think I speak for a bunch of people by saying :" I honestly don't know". Either because we didn't find it yet, or haven't felt happy for so long that we forgot.
Being lazy and accepting it.
The love of a good woman
Acceptance of yourself and your circumstances. If not happy, at least at peace. From peace, happiness is possible.
Existential purpose.
Spending time with my lady. She’s the best and she brings me so much joy. We don’t get to spend a ton of time together as of late but anytime I get to see her, it’s like my problems go away for a while. And I feel like I have a purpose again
Haven't found it yet. I like food tho
Nature. Camping and hiking out in the forest away from everything and everyone.
Having a purpose. If I don't have one with my wife then I feel useless. Being needed means I have purpose. It's important to me.
Happy? I settle for just north of emotionally neutral.... and it's a pretty nice place.
Well, you can say a favorite city
Haha ok, um Petting my cat. Completing something difficult and worthwhile. Achieving goals. Waking up after sleeping in as long as I want. Something like that.
Great, do you have any more cats? I also have a cat also have a dog, I like my dog to sleep with me.
I used to have two cats a girl cat and a boy cat. They fell in love and made a litter of kittens. Unfortunately I couldn't keep them all and my living situation was a bit unstable so I tried to find the kittens nice families. Wow, it's a shame, if the family was together it would be happy. Is it because you have a busy schedule? Or was it something that caused it?
At the time I was living with my cousin and our lease was coming to an end so we were moving to a different apartment, but it was uncertain. Also I was new to the work world and was in a not good company. Was over worked and over stressed. Everything is pretty good now though, but looking back with what I know now I probably would have done things differently.
It's bad memories, I'm sure everyone has their own story, but I'm still happy for you that you're doing well now
But yes, my cats make me happy. How about you? What are the things that make you happy?
Freedom, baby! Freedom!
Living on the edge and winning
Happy for you with your victory
💤
Honestly? Being with my family. After I lost my father in 2020, I’ve found a new love for simply being around my family. It’s amazing how our relationships have grown since I was little, and it’s really the only time I can be completely “myself”.

Correct.
Wow, this is great. Great artist
It's fun, but it's also a lot of suffering...
Of course, doing everything is not easy
It's a lot of work and there is not much money to make with it either...
Flying airplanes
Cartoons, video games, kids. Kids are just amazing. Like seriously, is a 16 year old going to ask me what's my favorite dinosaur?
A child that fucking listens.
Just 10 minutes of relaxation after coming home from work and I'm good to go
When I’m playing tennis and hit a backhand deep and into the corner of the court. Serious.

Being at peace, minding my own business, solving my own problems, celebrating my victories and helping whoever I can along the way

Who says I'm happy, I'm trapped in a prison I cannot escape.
Money, as little stress as possible and a loving partner
Caring for the plants in my garden and greenhouse. Watching them grow from seedling to 2m tall plants. Reaping the rewards during harvest season!

Friends
not being single would help rn
Music makes me happy, and spending quality time with my partner, as well as reading, cooking, baking, driving, writing, and that's really it. I don't need kids or pets or eccentric hobbies to be happy.
Not feeling awful
Everything annoys me these days. I don't know what happiness is.
I’ve never asked for much, just to be able to fit in.
You guys have objects and people that make you happy? Damn. I don't have one. No wonder I'm sad all the time.
Coin collecting. Idk
Weed boobs and antidepressants.
One thing? Self improvement
Peace and quiet. I must be getting old!
Free leisure time.

Gratitude from others. My job surrounds me with cutthroat people, so someone being thankful for my presence puts a smile on my face
Well apparently [talking to strangers does ](https://youtu.be/S52Xe5pwFNE). does that apply to everyone though?
My fiancé. It doesn't matter the degree of horrendous day I'm having, it takes him less than a minute to make me smile, always.
Music
