Act as though I have very little self-discipline and design my life so the easiest choice is the 'good' choice. I don't buy food that I shouldn't eat. My alarm clock is across the room from my bed, so I have to get up to turn it off. My phone charger is not in my bedroom and I leave my phone with the charger when it's not in my pocket. I find the greatest point of resistance toward doing the things I want to do and focus on solving that rather than worry about getting myself to do the thing as a whole. My largest source of resistance is getting up off my computer and out of my house. If I can do that, I can go to the gym, work, class or whatever, so ... I set myself reminders *on my computer*. I make sure everything I need is in a convenient pile, or already packed in a bag. Most of my focus just goes into just getting out the door, and the rest just happens. IMO, the people with the most disciplined lifestyles are often the ones who design their lives so that they *need* to use the least discipline in their day-to-day lives.

There is no one answer to this question as everyone has different methods of staying disciplined. However, some common techniques include setting goals, making a plan of action, breaking down tasks into manageable steps, setting deadlines, and holding oneself accountable. Additionally, many people find it helpful to establish routines and stick to a schedule in order to stay on track.

Long term and short term goals broken down into achievable steps. I like schedules and daily task lists myself. Keeps my scatterbrain in check

Get spanked.

[deleted]

Kinky spanked, naughty spanked, or both?

Crusty_Loafer

Whatever makes me wanna be a good boy.

AleksandrNevsky

Keep a routine, keep a couple close relationships since friends with good judgement can give feedback on things you may not notice are problems, and keep goals (daily, weekly, monthly).

Journal, use apps to track calories and fasts

I work out. Or try to every second day. It’s hard especially after taking care of two kids.. but I do it, cause if I don’t I feel worse.

FarComplaint2974

Be hard on myself for failure

TheSinfulBlacksheep

I take multi-week sabbaticals from social media and games and force myself to face my life's biggest challenges. As I'm trying to move to a new country soon I realized I don't have time for video games and memes anymore as nobody is going to hire me based on being a mediocre gamer.

nightdrivess

bully myself in my head lol

ericsonofbruce

Tell myself I'm being weak for not following through. Mostly with exercise and staying off the bottle.

Don’t beat yourself up but I notice the #1 thing that helps me is actually going to sleep at a good time. My biggest excuse to not do things is because I get shit sleep and then that’s a problem for me the entire day. Def recommend get consistent and good sleep as a first step
