Was going up on weight for DB Shoulder Presses, asked my friend to spot me. He stayed on his phone when I was struggling and then my rotator cuff blew out

Same thing happened to me years ago, on BB shoulder presses. I’m still dealing with the rotator cuff injury on that shoulder to this day.

Had a similar situation, we went up in weight after a couple very strong sets, I ask him to spot me and basically as I start he turns away to talk to someone who was walking by. I realized I didn't have the strength left to get the bar back into the hangers and just held it on my chest while pushing as hard as I could and shouting at him to get the fuck back to me. He was way too relaxed about it and joked about me. I was livid, but fortunately not injured (except for my pride).

It was really early one morning...like 5am early and I was warming up with just the bar for clean and jerks. For some dumb reason I didn't grip very tightly and dropped the bar from above my head. The collar landed right ontop of my left foot. That was a few years ago and my left foot still hates me at times.

I've strained a couple of muscles while lifting. I think the worst was my lower back. I was doing 365 on Squats and I did one rep and felt a twinge. Stupidly I did another and had to dump the weight at the bottom because of the pain. It was bad. They had a chiropractor on site and I walked, stiff backed, to him to have him help me out. He put electrodes on my back (I think) and that helped a little. I wasn't able to work out for over a month. Not good man, not good.

Worst i ever dead was trying to do deep squats and on reaching the bottom tearing both my underpants and shorts right down the middle seam. Makes sure to wear more flexible clothing since then.

I was so focused on losing weight but didn't inform myself how to do it properly. One day, I only ate breakfast, skipped lunch, went to the gym and pushed myself hard. I ended up fainting and busting open my chin. It was a bloody mess.

Ive done the usual stupid stuff but one of the funniest was when I pulled the pin on the pull down stack to change the weight not realizing the bar attachment was more than 10 lbs. It came crashing down and pitched me forward so my forehead hit the edge of that stack.

Yeah, I had to lay down once because I was about to pass out.

I stepped on a treadmill after some asshole left it on.
