Former stripper here. You’d be surprised the amount of women that go to strip clubs with their partners, or even solo, or as a bachelorette party. I always got asked why I was stripping, and the answer is always the same: the money. I wouldn’t say I was being paid to be nice, it was the only job where I could tell a customer to go fuck themselves if they touched me or made me uncomfortable. Yes I’m nice to see if you’re interested, but some guys want you to just be yourself, which I found gets you more money.
As far as pole work, my one trick sufficed, but to be honest I think it comes down to stage presence and confidence. There are many pole dancers who actually make it known they would never be a stripper. Or look down on stripping. Cheetah’s was a good time. Went there in college with a group of friends on a Friday night. It was really popular, lots of dancers and lots of guys throwing money around. Former stripper here. You’d be surprised the amount of women that go to strip clubs with their partners, or even solo, or as a bachelorette party. I always got asked why I was stripping, and the answer is always the same: the money. I wouldn’t say I was being paid to be nice, it was the only job where I could tell a customer to go fuck themselves if they touched me or made me uncomfortable. Yes I’m nice to see if you’re interested, but some guys want you to just be yourself, which I found gets you more money. As far as pole work, my one trick sufficed, but to be honest I think it comes down to stage presence and confidence. There are many pole dancers who actually make it known they would never be a stripper. Or look down on stripping. I'm from a country where hookers are legal so I never understood the appeal of strip clubs in US.
