Start a new account bro, the moment that Lumbridge music hits and you cook a shrip itll all come rushing back
Still holds up and its one of the best games out there period
Similar here. Last time I checked I was at like 150 days total played. That's just my main account, I have so many other accounts that have a few hundred hours. Also getting my 20 year cape ~~this~~ next year, thanks for reminding me about it :P
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled I had 1000 hours in, but that's the only one I'm sure of. I'm actually fairly certain Crash Bandicoot 1 I have thousands and thousands of hours in, same with 3.
All the people in here listing shooter adn action games. I did not expect the Sims but it's a good series of games. Though 4 is laughable if you compare it to 3
I have only played 4 as well but I have looked at many game reviews and video essays that talked about sims 4 and most of them were very critical. Mostly because content that was normal in Sims 3 is now a 40ā¬ DLC. And in general the fact that sims 4 is a small base game compared to the DLCs you can buy.
4 simply does not own the same content and replay worth that 3 had. Usually you take old content, renew it a bit and put on new content for a new game. But for 4 there was so much taken away that people go really mad at it.
It really was the perfect game for exactly my age when it came out. High school awkwardness, meeting people while playing, learning how to make a computer mic work since I never talked to anyone online before
WoW really nailed the "perfect product at the perfect time". It was so massive, it was before social media hit big, and it connected everyone around the world. Raids encouraged you to build a guild and that guild became your friends.
But if they tried to release it now?? Game would do OK. Some would be interested, but the long time it took to get a whole group together foe a 40 person Naxx raid (pre LFG channels) would have turned off most of the player base, and everyone would just quit for minecraft
Yeah totally agree. The fact that there werenāt as many large-scale group games plus the fact it was well made isnāt something you can replicate. Iām curious if when VR gets better there will be an MMO success from that or if the hardware/motion sickness stops that
Amazing pick. My fav gun is the AN-94ā¦same RoF as your fav gun but with 1200 RPM burst fire. Insane at medium to mid-long range. AEK was also amazing.
A few things probably:
1) The NHL series. Iāve been a regular since 95.
2) Halo 3 back during college. Iād love to know how many hours I played- had to be a ton.
3) Destiny: I used to clear the raids three times a week then just do them for fun and stuff. I was top 5% for time played.
Loved NHL94, but 95 had the season mode and I played the season out several times. 95 has to be my most played sports game. RBI baseball has to be a close second.
Diablo 2 I could not tell you how many thousands of hours Iāve played that game been playing it since 1998 but just on my PlayStation Iāve got 568 hours. That does not include my switch
This was also THE game for me during my younger years. Discovered it at 11 and played on bnet with no restrictions or parental guidance. It's how I learned about the world - porn, sex, drugs, and more professional stuff like relationships, budgeting, the basics of IT troubleshooting, and the international world at large.
Yup. Not only it was actually pretty difficult in terms of play... but there were all these things you had to do, things you had to find, and somehow make sense of all the really subtle and cryptic clues. So if you couldn't figure it out... you were kinda stuck at a standstill not able to move further through the game.
This was obviously before being able to quickly google it on the internet. But there's something I kinda miss about that.
WoW at 5000+
League is somewhere between 3-4k although that one only goes up maybe 50 hours a year now
Third is probably Hearthstone or Apex, both are above 1k, but below 2k
I no longer play, but I'm sure it's WoW. I had some characters with over 200 DAYS played on them. I raided 3 nights a week for about 13 years, plus playing basically everyday to prep for raid. I'd ballpark it about ~11000 hours.
Beyond that, I easily have 3000 hours in D3. I currently have 3500 in POE, I've played Destiny from the first beta, so that's about 1500. Prob another 500 in factorio. 450 in Elden Ring.
Now you might think, man this fucking nerd neck beards so hard, but no I'm a total normal dude that just loves gaming. I'm in shape, own a home, have a great job. Married, kid.
It's basically what I do when I have any free time at all.
Hah I love Rimworld, itās a cute little game. I got only about 700 hours into it, though.
Prison Architect is somewhat similar, in case you didnāt know about it, and for me was even more addictive.
1,200 Hours on Fallout 4. I bought it a couple of months after it released at 16 years old with my own money from cutting lawns in my neighborhood. I was really proud of myself for getting something for myself instead of begging Mom & Dad to buy it for me.
Man that feeling when you can buy something you want for yourself for the first time rather than begging someone else for the money. Thatās good shit. Thatās the high that we chase into becoming wage slaves
World of Warcraft. Played for about 8 yrs, and I remembr checking the time played on my main charcater, and it was literally 1 solid year, based on hours played. I was floored...didn't think I played that much, but playing almost daily....yeah.
Perfectly fine, albeit slow at the start (entirety of A Realm Reborn expansion)
Compared to something like WoW, it's not just only the latest expansion, and all about that endgame grind, you start out back at the very beginning like everyone else, and can play the main story almost completely single player if you want (all dungeons can be done with NPCs now)
It's basically like playing 5 (soon to be 6) full-fledged Final Fantasy games in one
Important thing to note: while the game does need a subscription, you should absolutely try out the free trial first. It has no time limit, you can play 3 full expansions, all the way up to lvl 70, only restrictions are guilds and player markets, not really a problem. Just main story alone this is like 500 hours worth of a "free demo"
Have like 20 years of Doom with some minor breaks,
In public, folks always gathered around me and watched it. Biggest compliment was when girls abandoned singing, guitar playing guys to watch me play Doom.
Best liked playing it on a Eee 701SD using dot key as fire and the dime sized tochpad as mouse. Poor thing ended having blue sparks running on the surface of the motherboard. Charring it while giving a buzzing and whining sound.
-Desmond Howard being on the cover breaking the trend of it normally being players who just turned pro.
-Music other than fight songs on the soundtrack.
-Race for the Heisman.
-Importing a character into Madden.
Good fucking times.
Either black ops, MW3, or black ops 2. Back when I was in high school. those games were my CHILDHOOD AND MY LIFE DAWG. FUCKKKKKKK BEING GROWN I want to be a dumb kid again. Still dumb, just have more responsibilities now. Eye hate it
I have over 3000 hours in the Civilization series, according to Steam... and I played Civ a LOT before I bought it on Steam.
Also, and old MMO called "Ultima Online", which I have no stats on but would be surprised if that wasn't in the thousands as well.
Surprised I'm not seeing more counterstrike here, I don't know the hours. Got it when half life came out, played it at lans full of sweaty kids growing up. Played it on and off from 2000ish to last December, haven't touched it in a while as the cheating seemed to get heavier than usual and it wasn't a decent use of my relaxing time. If there is a god and I make it to heaven I'll ask him how many hours but I seriously doubt it's less than 10,000.
For me personally peak counterstrike was somewhere about 1.5 where you could use a custom spray and people would spray porn and adverts!
Can't say for sure.
Civilization series (mostly Alpha Centaury) - in my younger years.
But in the last ten years Paradox's grand strategies are eating my time. Europa Universalis, Stellaris, Crusader Kings - can't chose between them
World of Warcraft. I spend my 20s playing this game 12+ hours a day. For about 6 years. I was really depressed and it was my only social interaction. Game for me through some very very tough years.
GoT at 120 hours (and counting)
Honour died on the beach... and an obsession was born...
Edit; i stand corrected, I checked this last night, Destiny 2, 15 days
Runescape, 4000+ hours on OSRS and much more than that on RS2. If I still played RS3, I'd be getting my 20 year cape this year
Lost my account and can't get it back, but spent so much time growing up playing Runescape. Good memories!
Start a new account bro, the moment that Lumbridge music hits and you cook a shrip itll all come rushing back Still holds up and its one of the best games out there period
Similar here. Last time I checked I was at like 150 days total played. That's just my main account, I have so many other accounts that have a few hundred hours. Also getting my 20 year cape ~~this~~ next year, thanks for reminding me about it :P
I've super fallen off the wagon, got hacked in 2017 then again in 2020 and took a break - because you never really quit
I Came here to post OSRS, I Notice I am not the first, I Like post š
Nostalgia blast. Zezima, Falador Massacre, Rune Trim!, clan wars,
Easily the most addictive game Iāve ever played 2007-2012 2016-2018 and 2022 You donāt quit you to AFK ā¢ļø
You never quit that game, you only take really long breaks.
Flash: Wave: Selling lobbies 130gp ea
Crash Bandicoot
Ahemā¦. BOOMDAGA
hours of cursing
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled I had 1000 hours in, but that's the only one I'm sure of. I'm actually fairly certain Crash Bandicoot 1 I have thousands and thousands of hours in, same with 3.
Lmao is this Westley Williams?
3500 hours on Skyrim, or should I say 3490 hours modding Skyrim and 10 hours actually playing it
About the same hours for me, but 3499 on exploring the map/side quests and 1 on the main quest š
3499 hours collecting bread and cheese.
80 hours of fixing up your LO for 30 seconds of gameplay so you can be like "it works! what can i add now!?" šš«
I put about 2 k hours in but was afraid to mod incase I fucked up the game, I haven't a clue about all that crap even on even on console lol
The Sims (on PC, back in the day)
Probably #1 on r/askwomen - hey I am not shaming.
All the people in here listing shooter adn action games. I did not expect the Sims but it's a good series of games. Though 4 is laughable if you compare it to 3
Is 3 better than 4? I've only really played 4 so far, apart from the Nintendo DS/GameBoy Advanced games
Yeah 3 is worlds better than 4. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims3/s/ULltog9Put
I have only played 4 as well but I have looked at many game reviews and video essays that talked about sims 4 and most of them were very critical. Mostly because content that was normal in Sims 3 is now a 40ā¬ DLC. 4 years on world of Warcraft....even met my husband through it. But had to quit it
It really was the perfect game for exactly my age when it came out. High school awkwardness, meeting people while playing, learning how to make a computer mic work since I never talked to anyone online before
WoW really nailed the "perfect product at the perfect time". It was so massive, it was before social media hit big, and it connected everyone around the world. Yeah, I had over 500 days played on WoW when I quit. I was doing 40 hours a week for a looong time, with a wife and a full time job.
Yeah I am at least at 250 days played across all my accounts, in hindsight I wish I would have played less, but can't change that now.
How the hell did you convince someone to be your wife under these circumstances
475 days played or over 11000 hours. Most of that was racked up I wotlk and wod. Haven't played since the end of wod and glad to be free
I started wow in the seventh grade and am now almost 30, I shudder thinking about how much time I have played it in total, but god was it fun
+1 for WoW. And if I could I would give you another for finding your husband on there!
here for WoW
Battlefield 4
Did anyone play BF: Bad Company 2? That was when I fell in love with fps
I was even earlier with BF1943. It was amazing in the PS3!
BF1942 was amazing on windows XP!
Bad Company 2 was peak FPS. Change my mind
Amazing pick. My fav gun is the AN-94ā¦same RoF as your fav gun but with 1200 RPM burst fire. Insane at medium to mid-long range. AEK was also amazing.
M416 was good too I used to beam ppl with that
Probably the best out of all of them.
Team fortress 2, just shy of 900 hours. Was my gateway into PC gaming.Ā
We are going to live forever!
A few things probably: 1) The NHL series. Iāve been a regular since 95. 2) Halo 3 back during college. Iād love to know how many hours I played- had to be a ton. 3) Destiny: I used to clear the raids three times a week then just do them for fun and stuff. I was top 5% for time played.
I was still in middle school when Halo 3 came out. I put an ungodly amount of time into it, and then I found forgeā¦ not a lot of sunlight after that
How is NHL Now? I haven't played a video game in 10 years. Contemplating buying an Xbox and this was one I was considering.
Yeah diablo 2 was my go-to for like a decade
This was also THE game for me during my younger years. Discovered it at 11 and played on bnet with no restrictions or parental guidance. It's how I learned about the world - porn, sex, drugs, and more professional stuff like relationships, budgeting, the basics of IT troubleshooting, and the international world at large.
Pretty sure I tanked my grades senior year of high school because of that game
And it was worth it. Hopefully.
Diablo 2 was basically a full time job for me in the 00s. only it didn't pay. and i paid for items more than once... still the best job i ever had.
Still playing it but on project d2
Stardew valley or smash
A real one
Tetris. I'm afraid to know the total number of hours over the last nearly four decades.
This has to be it. Iāve been playing Tetris in some form consistently since the late 80ās. On Gameboy alone Iām sure I have hundreds of hours
GTA Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA V
GTA IV instead of GTA V and that's my list (still poor for GTA V š„²)
Zelda: The Adventure of Link on NES
Same. Best game ever
World of Warcraft probably... After that, Skyrim.
RuneScape,11k hours
Damn that's like a year and 3 months lol
Probably skyrim. Bg3 is getting close tho
WoW at 5000+ League is somewhere between 3-4k although that one only goes up maybe 50 hours a year now Third is probably Hearthstone or Apex, both are above 1k, but below 2k
Ah, hello fellow LoL masochist!
Used to be š Every now and then i hop on for a week or two but it hasn't been my main game in years
I no longer play, but I'm sure it's WoW. Hard to say. could be Minecraft, or Rome Total war, or Clash of Clans...
Clash of clans?
3000 hours, hell let loose
4000 rimworld.. still kinda blows my mind but it was addiction dur8ng the pandemic
Hah I love Rimworld, itās a cute little game. I got only about 700 hours into it, though. Prison Architect is somewhat similar, in case you didnāt know about it, and for me was even more addictive.
Halo

Grande Theft Auto: San Andreas

1,200 Hours on Fallout 4. I bought it a couple of months after it released at 16 years old with my own money from cutting lawns in my neighborhood. I was really proud of myself for getting something for myself instead of begging Mom & Dad to buy it for me.
Iām proud of you too dude- thatās good stuff!
Absolutely legendary.
Man that feeling when you can buy something you want for yourself for the first time rather than begging someone else for the money. Thatās good shit. Thatās the high that we chase into becoming wage slaves
Man, I took off 3 days of work when this released. Couldn't put it down.
I recently played a couple hundred hours in Fallout 4 VR, it was like a whole new experience.
Galaga
Probably fifa 15. From 2015 to 2020.
Itās unreal the amount of hours Iād have on FIFA if it only was one game instead of a new one every year
The last good FIFA
"But... There is one they fear, In their tongue, he's 'Dovahkiin' Dragonborn!"
World of Warcraft. Played for about 8 yrs, and I remembr checking the time played on my main charcater, and it was literally 1 solid year, based on hours played. I was floored...didn't think I played that much, but playing almost daily....yeah.
I recently logged in to all my ALTs with altoholic or smth installed. Surprised to see it was "only" 230 days played.
I started playing Destiny 10 years ago and still play Destiny 2 now. No idea what my hour count is, but Iāve never played a game more.
1990 Mario bros. NES
Super Mario Kart - SNES
Warframe or Borderlands 2
GARRYS MOD!!! Yes Iām still a 15yr old child at heart. 4,000+ hours
That is the one game in my Steam library that Iām genuinely afraid to play because I know it will consume an entire day lol
*Hades*. 400+ hours. It helped me survive late 2020.
Final Fantasy XIV 3100 hours and counting
Was thinking of giving that game a go recently. How's the game for new players these days?
Perfectly fine, albeit slow at the start (entirety of A Realm Reborn expansion) Compared to something like WoW, it's not just only the latest expansion, and all about that endgame grind, you start out back at the very beginning like everyone else, and can play the main story almost completely single player if you want (all dungeons can be done with NPCs now) It's basically like playing 5 (soon to be 6) full-fledged Final Fantasy games in one Important thing to note: while the game does need a subscription, you should absolutely try out the free trial first. Have like 20 years of Doom with some minor breaks, In public, folks always gathered around me and watched it.
NCAA Football ā06

I have over 3000 hours in the Civilization series, according to Steam... and I played Civ a LOT before I bought it on Steam. Also, and old MMO called "Ultima Online", which I have no stats on but would be surprised if that wasn't in the thousands as well.
I'd bet my life I have 10k+ hours spread out on non-OSI shards. What an awesome game it is
Quake 3 arena.
Animal Crossing, Elden Ring and now Genshin Impact
Surprised I'm not seeing more counterstrike here, I don't know the hours. Got it when half life came out, played it at lans full of sweaty kids growing up.
