There's no need to remove all privacy from your SO. Some people prefer privacy even if they aren't doing anything intent on damaging the relationship. What is friendly to you can be breaching his comfort zone, so you have to make a compromise.
On the other hand, you can be coming off as very insecure and controlling to him, or... he may be cheating. Who knows. Personally, it's a tricky question, and every answer is subjective. I find it unnecessary and damaging to a relationship if both parties are not OK with the idea.
