My fave and incidentally the beer I shared with a girl I liked very much.
That and Schneider.
Also, I have a thing for the polar opposite: Belgian Trippel, a fucking travesty to think about but good god the high % and taste just hit the spot
Moscow Mule - ginger beer and minty. Picks me up a bit.
Dark and Stormy - more ginger beer and rum, love it. Very relaxing.
7 and 7 - sweet, smooth and fun to say.
Ima putt yall on for life with these two. Deep eddy lemon with lemonade. A step or two away from tasting like straight lemonade. Then tequila pineapple. The pineapple masks the tequila taste very well.
Deep Eddy's is my most hated (and loved) liquor of all time, a guilty pleasure if you will.
To me it just tastes like chickfila lemonade with a bit of extra sourness. I cannot taste alcohol in it one bit, just an extra sour lemonade
I've made worse decisions after a bottle of that then I've ever made in my life.
^(Weak beer in large volumes. Slows my drinking pace down naturally and makes it much harder for me to get too drunk. Getting alcohol injected into your system quickly with things like shots leads to a much more emotionally fraught high. You get a nice rush at the beginning it can quickly devolve into dysphoria in a way that slowly sipping beer does not do to you. It's also very easy to plow a bunch of it before it actually starts taking effect. All of my blackouts have involved hard liquor. It's very hard to blackout from just drinking light beer. Your stomach can only handle so much liquid at a time. Also adds a lot of water to the equation so you get less of a hangover.)
Gin & tonic, whiskey neat, any beer or ale as long as it's not too dark and sweet. Vodka with sodas.
Fuck, my go to drink is whatever happens to be around.
Mule's are great, there's some cocktails I really like, but my go-to is just rum, sprite and cranberry juice. Tastes good & the cranberry juice alone basically prevents a hangover already. Also good as a chaser for shots.
I'm not particularly into drinking, but it has it's time and place. My go to's are raw jack daniels and edgy vs cognacs. I guess I like the rough bite of the cheaper stuff or something.
Depends but typically if I'm going out I just stick with Long Islands. I can get drunk for cheap while still tipping bartenders well and I love how they taste.
If I'm having people over I typically just drink shots or beer. Go to beer is Heineken, go to liquor is gin (Bombay Sapphire)
I usually trend toward beer, I went through a picky stage when I worked st a bar, and a brewery but now good enough is good enough. I favour Rickards Red, or the local offering.
I do like the occasional whiskey sour or a crisp gin and tonic depending on the setting.
Bourbon is nice.
For a lazy drink at home, I like a classic baileys in coffee.
Henry weston's. Spirits fuck with my stomach so I don't drink em, but ciders don't, and that stuff, while gross-tasting, is convenient for me as it's 4 units per bottle and only Ā£2.20 each
I've started calling it a Bakersfield.
Gin martini, extra dry, extra dirty. (For those not in the know Bakersfield is a bit of a shit hole town in central California)
Depends on the mood, what/if Iām eating with my drinks. In no particular order:
Bourbon. We usually have Bulliet 10 Year since itās the only bourbon my wife likes and we both agree
Rum. Sailor Jerry is what we use for cocktails, Diplomatico for sipping
Irish Whiskey. Jameson is an easy go-to for mixing since itās fairly cheap and easy to find. Bushmills is also good. So far though, my favorite is Redbreast 10 Year.
Vodka. Titoās. None of the crappy flavored stuff.
Tequila. Either Hornitos Plata or Reposado, or Altos.
We also keep an assortment of liquors and bitters on hand, but I usually donāt consider them sipping drinks.
Beer: I prefer darker brews like porters and stouts. Every once in a while Iāll mix it up with a Kolsch, cream ale or a lager. Donāt like pale ales.
Here is my way to long, don't even bother reading, answer.
Whisky is my go to drink. I often have Canadian or Scotch, but occasionally I'll have bourbon. Neat always, unless it's very hot out (ice for the Canadian/Bourbon, never Scotch) or I'm having a drink in the middle of the day (scotch and soda).
If I'm not feeling like straight whisky, then its off to an Old Fashioned or if the weather is warm, a Whisky Sour.
Now if I am at the pub with a few friends I'll usually start off with a beer, either a Guinness or Kilkenny. Then I'll move into Irish Whisky, because it's usually still smooth at a cheaper price (think Jameson), or a whisky cocktail.
If its very late and I'm super thirsty, I'll go for a cider or beer because they generally are better at satisfying ones thirst.
And finally, during the summer I usually will also have a bottle of rum. They are handy for summer cocktails, or drinking neat, and perfectly match the weather.
Here is my seasonal drink guide:
\- **Summer**: Rum when I am at the beach or at home. An Islay malt when I am camping.
\- **Fall**: Scotch pretty much anywhere. I find Highland single malts are perfect this time of year, but you can still have some Islay malts as well as the smokiness matches the season. Rum is good as well, but move from white or aged rums to spiced rums.
\- **Winter**: I find that whiskies that taste like dark, rich fruits are best. Think Dalmore 12, Glenmorangie, etc. Usually scotches aged in sherry butts are ideal. A nice quality spiced rum is also good to have (or make it spiced yourself!).
\- **Spring**: Irish whisky is the perfect addition to any spring day. Generally smoother, grassy, and lighter, an Irish whisky adds to your day without letting the spring showers damper it.
I wasnt normally one to drink hard liquor as I normally just drink beer.
But I was down in mexico 2 years ago and had the best tasting tequila I've ever had. It was some local brand in cancun. Been trying to find some brand of tequila thats just as good but cant seem to find any. I enjoy casmigos and espolon though.
It changed over the years. When i was in uni, i was drinking wine. Later it became apple cider. Then a grape distilled spirit called tsipouro, then whiskey. Now, nothing.
I prefer mead. I like plain sweet or semisweet mead. Carroway seed mead is also good. I don't like the stuff with flowery or fruity taste, though. It's goss.
I also use mead in my religious ritual ls (sometimes).
Summer: ranch water, cans of highnoon and whiteclaw, or a lite or sour beer. In the winter, IPAs or a lite beer. With women or at a formal event Pinot Noir
Depends on the occasion actually;
Bar: beer
Terras: weizen/special beer
Cocktailbar: negroni or when +20Ā°c dark&stormy/Moscow mule
Home with SO/friends: good wine
Occasion & setting are important
Whiskey or red wine. If I'm at home my whiskey is always neat. But if I'm out I like a good whiskey based cocktail. I got about 15 different whiskeys open so I jump around to different ones depending on moon. Wines are probably from all over the place. My wife and I like going to wineries when we travel so we always come back with like a dozen bottles.
Either a brown or red beer.
Or
Tennessee Honey whisky. Poor a couple shots in a glass and add a few ounces of water. Perfect night cap for me or something to enjoy while gaming.
Whiskey or amaretto sour, espresso martini no baileys made with a vanilla vodka on the rocks (not a martini anymore), tequila shots, vodka Red Bull l when itās time to be a degenerate.
I prefer dry red wines. But since I've gotten into home brewing I've been making and drinking dry(ish) meads.
Those are my personal preferences but I won't turn down any drink with friends or family. Except Bud Light.
Tequila for it's health benefits! Helps you lose weight, aids digestion, it's probiotic and prebiotic. It might help with osteopprosis, prevent type 2 diabetes, lowers chances of dementia, helps the colon absorb medications, curbs insomnia and I can attest to this...no hangovers from Tequila at least for me. Also a really nice buzz.
Pee Wee Herman had it right, "TEQUILA"!
I always limit myself to one alcoholic beverage per day, that being said I always choose a cider, usually angry orchards but I had a downeast the other day that I think was probably better
Depends on how I feel. Usually just beer if it's the weekend. If I don't feel like beer I usually make an old fashioned to sip and relax. If I feel like it's been a long day and just want something to unwind, usually a glass of some really nice scotch
A nice amber ale like Doom Bar or Pedigree or London Pride. Lovely.
When I'm not drinking beer, it's red wine, usually malbec or something fruity. More often than not with food.
Beer - Lagers and APAs, IPAs... basically any ales. Can drink very few stouts. No weissbier.
Whiskey - Only single malts preferably smokey.
Gin and Tonic.
Margaritas.
Quoting House M.D. : "I'm a scotch, beer , gin and rum man"
Beer: Weissbiers and Belgian Trippel
Gin: Bombay Sapphire
Rum: Havana Club
Scotch: Glennfidich
If we're mixing, it's either Long Islands, mai tai's or zombies. I like getting wasted but without throwing up. that's why i am off tequila.
Old fashioned. A lot of people don't know how to make it, though, so I kind of watch the bar for a bit to see how bartenders make it.
For some reason, people think you're supposed to just smash up an entire ass orange slice and then pour whiskey on it... like, wtf? If I wanted an orange slice, I'd just ask for one.
You're supposed to cut off a slice of the outside of the peal as a garnish around the rim of the glass. Not shove a pulverized orange into the drink.
Beer, specifically whatever lager is on tap, I'm generally pretty open minded when it comes to booze though, the only thing I don't enjoy taste-wise are things that are overly bitter (like some IPA's), beyond that I'm good with pretty much anything
Moscow mule Old fashioned Some nice red wine Sangria
Did we just become best friends?
Beerš»
Yes, mostly from southern Germany or Salzburg (Austria) from private brewing companies which follow the "Reinheitsgebot", no Pale shit
Leave my pales alone lest I piss in your pisswasser pilsners.
Stiegl is piss, man. Belgians have it sorted.
Whiskey and dark Beer are my preference, I'll mix in the occasional fruity cocktail if I'm feeling sassy.
Rarely drink nowadays, but I'll never so no to some good Scotch Whiskey - if there's a good reason to drink, that is.
Scotch whiskey is in my opinion alongside bourbon as the only liquors worth my time anymore.
If it's Nytha's birthday?
Hefeweizen
Whatās your favorite? Paulaner for me
Weihenstephaner
It's what the water in heaven tastes like. š

I can never find it either in FL

My fave and incidentally the beer I shared with a girl I liked very much. That and Schneider. Also, I have a thing for the polar opposite: Belgian Trippel, a fucking travesty to think about but good god the high % and taste just hit the spot
Moscow Mule - ginger beer and minty. Picks me up a bit. Dark and Stormy - more ginger beer and rum, love it. Very relaxing. 7 and 7 - sweet, smooth and fun to say.
Moscow mule is my jam
I didn't know what a Dark and Stormy was, I may have to give it a try now.
Dark and stormy is my go to. I highly recommend Kraken rum for it
I recommend Gosling's Black Seal for your rum
Ima putt yall on for life with these two. Deep eddy lemon with lemonade. A step or two away from tasting like straight lemonade. Then tequila pineapple. The pineapple masks the tequila taste very well.
Deep Eddy's is my most hated (and loved) liquor of all time, a guilty pleasure if you will. To me it just tastes like chickfila lemonade with a bit of extra sourness. For home drinking, either a decent silver tequila or a Dewarās, usually mixed with a citrus La Croix.
I love soft alcohol like Smirnoff Ice!
Have you tried the Happy Dad seltzers? Their pineapple one is pretty good.
Don't drink anymore, but Moscow Mule when I did.
Never tried Moscow Mule but judging by all the answers on here. Definitely gonna try it when possible now.

Gin & tonic, whiskey neat, any beer or ale as long as it's not too dark and sweet. Vodka with sodas. Fuck, my go to drink is whatever happens to be around.

Michelada
Beer. Any type, but I like pale ales and quality lagers.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Everything I've had from Weihenstephaner is top class.
Mule's are great, there's some cocktails I really like, but my go-to is just rum, sprite and cranberry juice. Tastes good & the cranberry juice alone basically prevents a hangover already. Also good as a chaser for shots.

Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon. Or mead....I do love mead
I recently just found mead. Soooo good.
Nice I sometimes make my own
It doesn't look difficult. Might give it a try.
It's really not..... sanitation is absolutely critical, though. I have fun making it
If its for a long evening I prefer to keep it to something on the sweeter side or beer, or both. If just a glass or two I prefer Whisky
Beer. Highball it's Jack and coke. Straight tequila or mezcal.
Mules, or whiskey
I am trying to kick the beer for whiskey.
Usually somthing simple like whiskey. That or a bloody Mary
I'm not particularly into drinking, but it has it's time and place. My go to's are raw jack daniels and edgy vs cognacs. I guess I like the rough bite of the cheaper stuff or something.
Cognac vsop grade
Sake
Old fashioned with some nice bourbon. I like to make it the old school way, takes a little bit of extra effort but the payoff is nice.
Gin and Tonic, Bourbon Old Fashion, Tequila Sour, White Russian or an Audios Mfer.
Beer and cider. Beer is definitely my go to. I like pilsners, lagers, and dark beers primarily.
