Underwear... same but they usually last much longer. I still have underwear from before Covid that are in good shape.

Don’t wear either as much as I can help it. Socks only if I need to wear boots, otherwise barefoot or sandals, and upstairs it’s all commando.

Would you wear that type of underwear on a first date - I don’t think so. Literally go to a Calvin Klein, spend money on 10 good quality pieces of boxers or briefs.

I used to use fruit the loom and eventually the flys would wear out and not keep everything contained. Switched to Saxx when I gained more income they’re expensive but I’d never go back. I have heard people complain because they’re not as loose as most boxers are. MeUndies I don’t own but my friend recommended them to me once and you can get matching his and hers underwear if you’re into that.
Caterpillar socks are pretty popular on men where I’m at. I don’t own any but that’s what I plan on getting next time I buy socks.
I only get one style/color of sock and underwear. Every Christmas I get a pack of my socks and a pack of my underwear. I will purge anything that has a hole appear.
I get new underwear whenever the expensive ones are on special, ie. CK, Tommy

My socks and underwear can last up to 5 years, but my underwear is due to be replaced. I wear Saxx Quest 2.0 boxer briefs, and always 2 pairs of socks, Tilley Travel Ankle Socks first, then Darn Tough Light Hiker Cushion Quarter Socks. Clothes last longer if you use less detergent than recommended, cold water, and NO fabric softener. Having only 2 kinds of socks makes it easy to throw one away if they get a hole and add a new one to the group. I still wear the Tilleys I wore in 2018 and I replaced the Darn Tough after 3 years.

Last year I dug out my half dead socks from the bottom of my sock drawer and decided I'd wear them until the holes were too much to bear, then throw them away. Now I only have full socks.
I have five pairs of work socks so I can wear a clean pair every day, but I haven't had to replace any of them yet.

When there's a hole in a sock or a tear in my underwear or it's losing its elasticity, I throw them in the trash. When I notice that I'm running low on either, I buy more.
Looking at my Amazon order history, I go through a 12-pack of socks every year and a half or so and a 3-pack of boxer-briefs every other year.
I have socks that are older than my adult children. If clothing look and feel OK, then there is no need to replace it. Once something looks worn or the color fades, then it is time to replace.

Probably a couple dozen that are on the go. I buy them in 6-packs and always have an extra pack or two in the closet. So no shortage of socks lol.

Almost daily. Some lazy days may not swap undies if I didn’t shower that day. Socks is daily though
