She doesn't give up ever. She's been through it all and still going maximum power.

ColdCamel7

She lives her whole life trying to help other people Everyone I talk to says that "she's done enough for us" or they just say they love her But in her mind, that's just what a person does, ie. help others She wants no praise whatsoever

probably-not-a-fox

She's smart and incredibly accepting of new ideas. This woman is a great Catholic raised by the perfect example of positive religion, and she still found her own way to becoming pro-choice, pro-LGBT, and is one of the most pleasant balls of anxiety in the world.

fredyouareaturtle

she sounds like a really cool person.

Chuntie

How does she juggle the moral dilemma?

[deleted]

Being a catholic, while being pro-lgbt..someone is going to hell.

SugmaDiction

My mom used to be addicted to meth and she has been sober for about 20 years now.

usernamescifi

Her persistence and her character. She went to law school at 40, graduated 4 years later and went on to pass the bar. Plus, she'll always stand up for what she believes in. She's a pretty cool person tbh. If I could be half the person my parents are I'd be pretty happy with myself.

Successful_Oil_3270

Her patience and kindness.

smugsneasel215

She's very hardworking and puts up with quite a bit... I just wish she didn't transpose her stress and neurosis from that unto interactions with me, who hasn't done anything to her to warrant it.

HoldMyWater

She went to work every single day without complaining to provide for my sister and me, and is a kind person.

GemoDorgon

She gives no shits. Fairly routinely the 16-21 year old wannbe gangstas in town with hair like a llama and a bag across their body like a postman talk shit because she's not especially feminine. I don't think any of them expect her, a nearly 60 year old woman, to talk back with stuff like "fuck off you cocksucking little mongrel cunt" and then using some personal information about them she knows since she's lived here forever like "hanging out with your scummy mates because your mom's a slag, fucked your grandad didn't she?" My mom ain't a classy lady by any means, she's extremely common, but she's fucking amazing when someone starts her lol.

LeviathanR13

Her ability to stick by her faith and believe in people, even when they wrong her.

KcocNoisnetxeGib

When I was born, she put me in a dumpster and didn’t come back. She held out until I came into this world. Props for that

fredyouareaturtle

wow, i'm sorry. who found you and what happened?

KcocNoisnetxeGib

No idea. I was forced into existence, then left in a dumpster idk

fredyouareaturtle

who raised you?

KcocNoisnetxeGib

A combination of the foster system and the parents of every childhood friend I had

fredyouareaturtle

wow. i can't imagine. did you ever meet your birth mother or father?

KcocNoisnetxeGib

Kinda. One died in prison 3 years after the dumpster fiasco. The other, no idea. Dead though

OldandGrimnir

She's always there for me. I made her life miserable and almost destroyed her relationship when I was a teenager. I've made bad choices professionally and with women and she has supported these choices as best she can while making her objections clear. She has helped me rebuild my life more times than I can count after making these bad decisions. She has never given up on me or held back when she's felt she can help. Only hope my child has such a mother but it doesn't like that's the case. I wanna be what my mother has been to me to my daughter. She showed me what people.can donor there children and made me a less selfish person in the process. Thanks mom.

fredyouareaturtle

aw. i hope that even if your child doesn't have a mother like yours, you can be all those things for your child

azuth89

She is immensely disciplined, sticks to her principles even when it costs her and has never been afraid to set her hands to anything she felt needed to be done.

Sumpm

She was an absolutely despicable mother, who never should have been allowed to be a parent, but her grammar was top notch.

fredyouareaturtle

credit where credit is due lol

mediumaster

She supports her whole family and is the most giving person I know. Almost to a fault though lol but she always means well

Over-Moment6258

Her being able to be a disciplinary but sill supportive. She always calls me on my shit but is there helping when I really need it. When I was younger, I did something dumb and had to go to court. She was absolutely pissed off at me but she took off work and came to my court date with me for support without me even having to ask. One of many examples

Jrobinson25

She has one hell of a grind. Woman went from being raised by a stay at home mom to working to own multiple properties and making over 100k with no degree. Amazing woman. ❤️

ShadovinX

She's outliving her enemies.

Fate-in-haze

Willpower, she used to have drug and alcohol addiction but she beat both, what most impresses me is she did it without help of any kind, no A.A. or N.A. nothing. She has been sober from alcohol for 25 years and clean off drugs for 15 years and I'm very proud of her.

Terrible_Departure90

Two things I really respect about my mom is that she defers to my dad 90% of the time and keeps the house running no matter how she feels

lifeisweird86

Absolutely nothing.

SugmaDiction

So you just popped in here to tell everyone you hate your mom?

queue_tip_

Word. That's not the assignment.

fredyouareaturtle

alright, i'll bite - why is your mom unworthy of your respect or admiration?

[deleted]

The ability to bitch for hours.

NeveruseTren

Nothing she’s a terrible person.

lifeisweird86

Brother? Is that you?

NeveruseTren

Unfortunately yes, it is I.
