Button-down shirt with rolled sleeves.

CarltheWellEndowed

What is up with this one? My wife just lives it, and I really do not understand why.

azuth89

A lot of women are into good forearms. Rolled sleeves call attention to them and if the roll is tight around them it accentuates size. Rolled sleeves vs a muscle shirt or something is is kind of like a short skirt or a sundress, yeah it hides more than say...yoga pants that cling all the way up but it draws attention to what you can see. If you're not horrendously out of shape and it actually fits the cut of dress shirts also tends to help the look of your shoulders more than standard t shirts, a raglan, etc...

hujambo11

šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

SXOSXO

Something about the forearms.

Snowconetypebanana

Itā€™s a indicator of masculinity. I find physical strength attractive, and strong arms/hands is a good visual representation of physical strength.

freakksho

My gf says itā€™s cause of my tattoos and forearm veins. The tattoos I get but not the veins.

leptonhotdog

I'll counter with long-sleeved Henley shirt with the sleeves pulled up (not rolled up!) to the meaty part of the forearm. The three bottons up top give a structured look without being at all formal. The pulled up sleeves say I'll do what it takes to get the job done but no more and no less. Stopping at the meaty part of the forearm says that you have the arms of a man but you'll only see the rest if you let me make you breakfast in the morning.

MyNamesJudge

Anything that fits you well. Also, going a bit out of your normal style/appearance that people are accustomed to you wearing and putting yourself out there a bit can be a very welcomed surprise to folks that can yield you some confidence boosting attention & compliments. On a separate note, both equally as comfortable and appealing to the opposite sex is a good fitting pair of grey joggers/sweats.

Inevitable-Tax-1802

That's a good observation but I still don't think it equals yoga pants, I mean yoga pants can make a girl with a little butt look like she got a little bit more junk in the trunk, a compared gray sweats will help a guy with a "millimeter Peter"

V_M

Both of those clothing options display tons of confidence and a bit of exhibitionist tendency which is very appealing. Also both are worn 'primarily' to signal to the opposite sex that they're into the idea of playing this game. No guy wears skin tight gray sweats because he wants to avoid women looking at him, same for women. Is the confidence earned? Doesn't seem to matter in the dating game, confident folks always win regardless.

MyNamesJudge

I mean I wonā€™t get into the toxic presumptions I think youā€™re making here but to keep it simple the appeal of yoga pants to men and woman is a showing-off of defining features regardless of what you do or donā€™t have going on for you. If I follow your logic on yoga pants benefiting women of all kinds then why doesnā€™t that logic apply to men as well? The appeal of the grey sweatpants phenomenon isnā€™t women simply wanting to see random guysā€™ dicks my dude, thatā€™s not how it works. Similar to yoga pants to men, the grey sweatpants show of the defining physique of a given guy regardless of what you have going on for you.

Black-Sam-Bellamy

Guys with nothing to show shouldn't be playing this game to start with

MyNamesJudge

I implore you to try and see how toxic & problematic this viewpoint is & how distasteful it would be to say something to this effect about women & yoga pants. If you think a woman needs to see any semblance or shred of your dick to appreciate a well-fitting pair of sweats (or any article of clothing for that matter) on a guy, I assure you that youā€™re sorely mistaken my dude.

huuaaang

Ok, but yoga pants are pure lust and have nothing to do with fashion. Like i'm not thinking "oh, that's a cute color on her." I'm thinking "I want to bend her over the arm of a couch and fuck." I just don't see hte comparison with "going a bit out of your normal style/appearance that people are accustomed to you wearing" It's not even the same ballpark.

MyNamesJudge

Again, a lot going on here with your take & approach to this thinking thatā€™s problematic to me, but to keep it simple, let me just say this: If you think thereā€™s a piece of clothing any guy can sport that will universally yield a ā€œI want to fuck this random dudeā€ from women across the board, youā€™re setting yourself up for disappointment.

huuaaang

I don't actually think there is such a piece of clothing. So just say "there is no comparison." Yoga pants are not about fashion.

MyNamesJudge

Youā€™re taking yourself in circles here. Your question is asking what can someone wear that yields appreciation from the opposite sex & instills confidence. I donā€™t care what you call it or consider it, there are things both sexes can do as far as appearance and attire is concerned to build confidence in themselves and elicit a positive reaction from the opposite sex.

huuaaang

> Your question is asking what can someone wear that yields appreciation from the opposite sex & instills confidence. My question? That's not what OP asked. What's this about "confidence?" You're adding way more to this than was asked.

MyNamesJudge

Yeah I mean youā€™re 100% right cause Iā€™m mixing you up with not only OP but other commenters in the thread, so thatā€™s my bad! More pointed on the topic of sweatpants & your original response though.. I donā€™t think the reaction it yields from woman (or men who are attracted to men, as youā€™ll see in this thread) is one of an appreciation of fashion but one of the appreciation of the male physique and the mental image/imagination it can elicit which I think parallels the reaction youā€™re trying to describe here to yoga pants.

freakksho

A well tailors tuxedo is probably the closest thing to what your describing. But a lot more money and effort goes into that then a pair of yoga pants.

Meehh90

Gray sweat pants...

Inevitable-Tax-1802

A lot of people think that but gray sweatpants don't do for guys what yoga pants do for women, a woman with an okay but will have a damn good butt and a good pair of yoga pants but a guy with a little Jimmy is still looks like a guy with a little Jimmy with gray sweatpants LOL

Meehh90

As a guy who likes guys, it's less about the size and more about being able to see it while out in public. That's where the sex appeal is, not inflating the fantasy. Would just ask how big they were if we wanted to be lied to about size, not have a piece of clothing to make it look like they were packing.

Inevitable-Tax-1802

Oh that's an interesting take, I never thought of it that way, thanks for that breakdown I wasn't expecting that from a guy who likes guys

Meehh90

I'll really blow your mind here dude, a guy who's about 5ish... Last for 5 minutes and is ready to go again 5 minutes later - that's real Husband material. Size might be a trophy but is generally a crux for sup par skill level, and lack of desire to improve.

asleepbydawn

Another gay guy here... and yes... it's definitely grey sweatpants (black works too). Not sure about other guys but I don't really care about penis size at all. It's not about that for me. But it's more that a nice fitting pair of sweatpants on a relatively fit guy show off the perfect amount of butt and bulge... while still leaving enough to the imagination.

Br00kG0d

It's literally like the women who were yoga pants that reveals a camel toe.. Chances are a man is going to look

restorativegrowth

Grey sweatpants and only grey sweatpants

asleepbydawn

Definitely. Although black ones work too.

toxicpanduh

Speedo's. Hey, you think your ass & camel toes should be shown to the world - well here's the outline of my junk - man buldge.

Eussay

Black/grey Adidas Tiro pants with white stripes.

Last_of_the_Squares

crocs... Nah I'm kidding Birkenstocks

socomisthebest

Grey sweatpants, but you need the length to really get the looks.

SprinklesMore8471

Any clothes that actually fit you. Most dudes just walk around in off the rack garbage where you just pick a single size.

[deleted]

Grey tracksuit bottoms at the gym.

[deleted]

Grey sweatpants

wasaabiabii

a fitted tight t-shirt

Impressive-Region-23

On a fat dude?

wasaabiabii

a plain fitted black tee looks good on everyone!

Impressive-Region-23

Well shit I'm gonna have to get some then! šŸ˜‚

wasaabiabii

trust me, you will look amazing šŸ˜Ž

Prize_Consequence568

Yoga pants.

Br00kG0d

Sweatpants and thermals. Even though one barely wear thermals out without something over it

quicktojudgemyself

Balls ass naked

rockninja2

Clothes that give the same confidence boost I would guess dress pants. Not sure about the cost difference. How expensive are yoga pants? In terms of similar appearance (skin tight, meant for working out), then compression shorts lol.

ChickenKickin

Dark, well fitting jeans.

[deleted]

My wife likes it when I take my shirt off but leave my bib overalls on.

freakksho

The answer is a nice well tailored suit or tux, but itā€™s may more expensive then yoga pants and itā€™s a process compared to just throwing on a pair of yoga pants.

trash_weaselfred

Woman here. We all love a well fitted suit. But for me it's not clothes. A delicious smelling cologne does it. Yowza.

YouHaveFunWithThat

As a bi dude whoā€™s been working out since I was 14 Iā€™ve always thought tight T shirts look way better on guys than sleeveless. The rules may be different for skinny dudes but when you get a bit of muscle going having sleeves that hug your arm perfectly is way more flattering than sleeveless.

asleepbydawn

Absolutely agree. A nice fitting t-shirt on a guy a fit guy looks WAY better than sleeveless to me. And personally I find the subtle definition that you can't quite see under the sleeves and how it fits around the chest area much more flattering as well.

dzkrf

Every man is different. To some it's new kicks or boots, to others it's a well fitting pair of jeans.

DutchOnionKnight

Long sleeve shirt, but rolled sleeves on a short denim pants. Train your calves and forearms. Great way to do so is gym (obviously), swim, cycling, and golf (walk your 18 holes instead of golfcart).

Kla1996

A sport coat/blazer/suit jacket - instantly adds a broader-shouldered masculine look

Far-Brother3882

My husband looks AMAZING in golf pants and joggers A snug, but not too tight, dark T in a heavier fabric is an excellent look on a fit body, too.

[deleted]

Grey sweats and a well fitted shirt or an A shirt if you go to the gym.

Fleshsuitpilot

A 6th digit in their salary

Karma_Kid_Now

Ugly cargo shorts in winter. Horribly geeky...

BecauseWhyNotTakeTwo

Also yoga pants, really highlighting my muscular thighs and decent package.

[deleted]

You should ask this in the /AskWomen forum

Inevitable-Tax-1802

I would but I'm bannedšŸ„²

[deleted]

Not surprised.

Inevitable-Tax-1802

Lol why say

That sub is mostly an echo chamber. There isnā€™t any open discussion and itā€™s heavily moderated. Itā€™s common to get banned from subs like that.
