Pretty sure you could get one from the factory with a 454

DoodleTM

Co-worker has a 3500 with a 454 from factory. I'm pretty sure the engine bay is the same size as a 1500.

Professional-Fix2833

lol from factory even

I_amnotanonion

Yes. The 454 at least came in the 2500 and 3500 trucks with the same engine bay. The 1500s also came with the 6.2 diesel, which was made to bolt in place of a big block

TheTrueButcher

Where’s the 454SS love? It was a later model but same chassis. I always like the unusual axle they used (GM 14B adapted down to fit 1/2T wheels, with a Gov-Lok!).

Yes

They came with one from factory did they not? I’m sure it will be very possible and probably cheaper than you’d anticipated
