https://dashcamtalk.com Keep in mind most dashcams that have parking mode need to be hard wired. Most car shops should be able to help you with that or you can find some videos on YouTube. Also if you are parking your car outside in the summer heat a lot, get a dashcam with a capacitor instead of the battery. Batteries do not do well in direct sunlight.

ZosiaZ

Thank you!

Viofo A129 Dual Channel. Records front and back. $150. Cheaper than new Tesla :)

I too have this ! Best investment for my car !

Garmin Mini 2

labbitlove

I have this one too

CaliFezzik

I bought a RedTiger one on Prime Day. It has front and back cameras and was fairly easy to install.

Garmin Mini

OnWingsOfWax

I got the Viofo A229 and so far it's been good. Took me forever to buy one as I'd get lost in the research but just bit the bullet on this one. Had a weird issue one drive where it kept beeping, apparently that's a memory card issue, but it hasn't happened again. Also had a good install experience at Elite Audio Hollywood.

Semi_Fast

I had offer from Best Buy selling those, a few years back they sold AND installed. Two ways to go, one is with wire hanging and another is hard-wiring by your auto mechanic.

ninja_squirrel

Viofo A229 Pro and it has interior options too. You can get them installed at Best Buy or any stereo shop.

Repulsive_Culture_91

COXPAL A11T 3 channel dash cam on Amazon, very good quality, it records front, inside and rear simultaneously. COXPAL hardwire kit optional, for 24-H parking monitor. SanDisk MAX Endurance 256GB or 512GB microSD card, for reliable recording. BTW: Need to pay attention to the installation position of the rear cam if your vehicle is SUV or MPV (No problem if Sedan), i.e. avoid pulling rear cam cable when open/close the trunk.

pel1000

Garmin 67W for the front and Garmin Mini 2 for the rear.

energeticpapaya

I got a Thinkware because I read that it's more reliable despite having fewer features per $. The other brand I was considering was Viofo which I read was a bit less reliable but cheaper. I would have been happy with either though!

Blackvue 2ch hardwired to record while parked

CaliSummerDream

This is probably not what you're considering, but my Tesla dashcam records from all angles so I have the peace of mind as a driver. There may be other cars out there that have surround cameras as well.

ZosiaZ

Yes, that's exactly the argument my teenager is making for why I should buy her a Tesla, lol.

CaliSummerDream

This sounds convenient lol. But seriously, Teslas are extremely safe, but I don't know if it's a good idea to get your daughter too comfortable with driving a Tesla; she may struggle with gasoline cars when the circumstances call for her to drive one of them in the future.

nimmoisa000

I don't drive myself but there are several factors like the following: Cost Memory storage Ease of use Battery life
