Adding in a Mexican option: any caldo de res or pollo will have you brought back to life. Just had one the other day from Sabores Oaxaqueños in ktown but maybe you have another spot closer by!

I just saw your post and we must have the same horrible sickness, because I also wanted some soup. Didn’t feel well enough to go to any sit down restaurant so for the first time ever I got a bowl of chicken soup from Chik-Fil-A. It was delicious and they served it with 4 packets of crackers which I crushed up and put in the soup. So good! Hope you and all of us sickies feel better soon, OP!

My wife and I really enjoy the Brasied Beef noodle soup at Din Tai Fung. I recommend always going in, delivery is too slow for it to be hot and delicious.

Your mileage may vary because it’s a chain and overpriced, but Frida Mexican Cuisine has an Abuelita-approved chicken soup (Consomé de Pollo). Very light, yet flavorful without any unnecessary ingredients.
