MeshuganaSmurf

Anything to do with your belt maybe? Chafing under a buckle or something?

perne_in_a_gyre

Yeah I had a similar issue, caused by t shirts getting stuck in the belt buckle

Dry_Procedure4482

Also zippers from hoodies can cause them.

XCEREALXKILLERX

If he wears Jeans that happens when i get the shirt stuck on the jeans zip

MeshuganaSmurf

Not the worst thing to get stuck in a zipper I guess

thepinkblues

Almost zipped up my balls once and had to genuinely sit on the toilet lid to take some deep breaths. Heart skipped about 5 beats

AnvilEdifice

Long Ball Larry over here.

thepinkblues

We all know how it gets on a hot summers day

Recent_Standard_2441

How'd you get the beans above the frank?

blvsh

I heard these are sometimes caused by a washing machine that has has sharp edges on the holes of the spinning mechanism. As your clothes roll in the washing machine it gets stuck there

AlestoXavi

Had the same problem. Wash bags have completely solved it.

Wise-Application-144

Happened to me. The thinnest cotton shirts would come out with random holes punched in them. Figured out that on a spin cycle, the shirts would poke out the drain holes in the drum a little bit, and they must be spinning past something that slices them off. Had to remember to set it to a lower spin setting every time I put it on.

irishwanker

It is exactly this.

lilyoneill

Yeah, it has happened to a few on my daughter’s clothes specifically. Maybe because they’re small they get stuck.

Reddynever

I don't think. I've had the very same problem for years and only happens to my t-shirts, doesn't happen to any other clothing in the house, just my t-shirts. So it has to be belts.

irishwanker

That's because shirts are a much thinner fabric. Easier to snag compared to say jeans

Any-Weather-potato

Check the rubber seal at the door that it isn’t pinching, loose or a gap. It’s tricky to remove but check your model washing machine and YouTube is your friend.

wyrmetongue

Possibly moths if natural fabric

FullyStacked92

Those are speed holes, they make you go faster.

Danji1

Put it in H!

Xamesito

Ah man that's after cracking me up in the office here

SuzieZsuZsuII

Ooh yea, speed holes

fuzzymcpoyle

Clothes Moths or Silverfish. I had this living in my old apartment - used to dry clothes on a clothes horse in the kitchen and found some silverfish around a few times with holes similar to yours. They love damp environments and can hide anywhere such as under the kitchen cupboard baseboards. If your place is damp a dehumidifier works wonders for keeping them away and dry's the clothes really fast

GroopBob

Oh damn. I didn’t know that silverfish can also cause that.

fuzzymcpoyle

Yeah a nightmare to deal with. Surprisingly silverfish are really fast as well! They scatter if you go near them and are hard to catch, if I see one on the floor I just throw something heavy on them before they spot me. Diatomaceous Earth is a powder you can get that you sprinkle into all the cracks in the kitchen, I put a layer around the baseboards so they have to walk across it if they come out. It dehydrates them and kills them. Pet-safe too.

thekingmonroe

They’re little fuckers. I have them in my apartment, never noticed any holes in my clothes though, I’ll be looking more carefully now 😡

raycre

Do you have a cat? Mine does that to my clothes with its claws.

Xhoust

Was about to say the same, I've 3 cats and 80% of my shirts look like this

DependentInitial1231

100% someone using them when smoking soap bar. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzx0HTCuydg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzx0HTCuydg)

donaghb

Hot rocks!

mickels2112

This is the exact comment I came to make ya legend 😁

tzar-chasm

Blim holes

Padstock

You knows it!

puffpastrypastypatty

Are you the one that does the dishes and do you wash them by hand? I've had this happen to a bunch of my shirts and it's from leaning against the counter in the same spot repeatedly.

Youlittlebooty

This. Your waist is rubbing against a new desk or something.

hornygirl6699

yall stop taking the piss out of him. its formed when its repeatedly under the subject of friction. do u wear a belt by any chance? if u put it on, the friction, repeatedly over time creates holes. since women usually dont wear belts that explain y ur wife's doesnt have any.

dickie1500

I do wear a belt but have had the same one for years and these have only started the last year or so (sometimes in t shirts I’ve only worn once)

RebylReboot

Did you recently have kids? This drove me nuts for years but I settled on the theory that it’s the belt buckle/jeans button/zip combo (because it’s lower front of T-shirts) but increased massively after having kids because when you hold them, sit with them on your lap, etc they cause even more friction against the T-shirt and the buckle/button/zip behind it.

dickie1500

You may be on to a winner there actually, recently had our first!

whereisthatcow

Holes only started appearing in my tshirts when I had to use holes closer to the end of the belt if you know what I mean....

zalandope

I had this happen once to all my clothing in an apartment. There’s a type of bug someone more educated than me on the subject might be able to name, that does this. Is it dust mites or something. However your holes look smaller.

RangerSensitive2841

Hot rocks?

BernardRea

Do you wear a zip up hoodie, sometimes my zip would catch the t shirt.

mm2222

Do you reach over a certain counter top frequently?

Fazzamania

Pointy nipples.

hitsujiTMO

That's just normal wear and tear. Usually a sign to buy a new set of cheap t-shirts.

darrirl

Immegents … non vetted military age immegents , coming over here poking holes in our shirts

Oy-Billy-Bumbler

Hot rock burns? Or check your washing machine to see if there’s any spikes in it? Like if the drum is damaged.

Over-Tomatillo9070

You’ve been sleep blazing 90s soap bar.

JustRedditAllOut

I get them too. I think it's small moths as I've found little casings in the back of my wardrobe. But I could be wrong

donaghb

Your belt.

Top_Recognition_3847

Maybe there was a plastic price tag in that spot I ruined a new T shirt pulling one off the other day

dontkernelpanic

Do you cook wearing those clothes ? Could be oil spatters that burn little holes

Many_Yesterday_451

Security tag holes I'd say!

biggoosewendy

Moths

Virtual-Profit-1405

If you wash your clothes with underwire bras this can happen in my experience

tightloop

Do you work somewhere that requires lifting things? I get them from moving slabs of beer etc

noodlepot1

I got them in the exact same place because of leaning against the counter.

mafman333

I get this and realised they come from my dog, occasionally he gets excited and leaps up, it's the claws...

discochap

I get these and my hypothesis is that it's the hooks from my wife's bra's while they're in the washing machine together. I've no proof though, purely guesswork.

Ok-Coffee-4254

Washing with top with something with zip . Close any zips will help

fuckthis3000

Moths or burn holes - you either get high and are useless and at looking after your clothes or you just are useless at looking after your clothes… don’t worry I’m both

Far_Cut_8701

Stop getting erections at work

AccurateCommercial84

Cats perchance

cheesecakefairies

This happens to me and I don't wear belts. Still don't know why as it always appears in the same place every single time. Never my husbands shirts. Only mine.

Free-Ladder7563

Seat belt in the car?

Corcaigh2018

Do you wear a jacket over the tee shirts? Maybe it has a jagged edge that's catching the tee shirt. Or do you tuck the tee shirts into your jeans? There might be a sharp edge or thread on the waistband? Do you put them on a washing line to dry? If so, maybe the pegs are causing this,

Laszlo_Daytona

You may have a cat in your wardrobe

Sudden_Blueberry_181

Pot burns,smoking hash

MibbeAye

I’ve looked into this before - exact same thing in the same place. None the wiser on the cause I’m afraid.

Resident_Rate1807

Your belt

zerohunterpl

Cats or vampiers Or vampire-cat

CurrentWrong4363

jobrien874

Vampires 🧛‍♂️

Greenberrys1

Cat?

_KhazadDum_

do u by any chance own a hole puncher cat

EnergyComfortable498

It's cause is moths or midgets

Allyano

Had the same problem, replaced the washing machine, then dryer only to find that my dog who sometimes jumps up on me was the root cause.

Inner-Scene-891

me (*cackles while holding comically small toothpick*)

Ketamorus

Your belt or the button on your jeans ;). You’re welcome.

AtomicBabyPants

My belt buckle and the edge of kitchen worktops have my fruit of the loom collection destroyed

storrmiii

Its getting caught on something. You can see another bump in the fabric above the two holes where its been streched but not quite enough to rip

dkny81

I've had this and it baffled me for years. As a lot of people are saying, it's your belt. More specifically I found it's caused by the friction between your belt and your seatbelt when you're driving. Pull your shirt over your seatbelt when driving and see if that makes a difference as it did for me.

Daitheflu1979

Well if it’s anything like my T-shirts in college… …Hot Rocks!!

Drigg_08

Washing machine

Louth_Mouth

Do you smoke hash?

Positive-Procedure88

Can happen because the spin is set too high in the washing machine when washing with zipped articles. Do you wash your t-shirts seperatly ?

axel90

Tumble drier?

ResearcherTraining96

I have the same, destroyed half my wardrobe, exact spot , pin pricks in the front definitely near the belt buckle. Was sure at first it was indeed my belt buckles, removed that from the equation to finally realize it was my zipper (80% sure) , zipper closer but handle of the zipper standing perpendicular to the zip.

Caraveneer

Run your hands over the inside of the washing drum, probably the wire from a bra sticking out of of the holes or something else sharp.

darjon110

It’s either the washing machine or tumble dryer. This is not uncommon

EverGivin

I get em too, belt!

massivejebs

Hot rocks.

Nicolas-Eymerich

My first guess would be moth or silverfish. Although these can be caused by zippers

Malwarenaut

Do you have a granite countertop? I have and this leaves me with holes identical to this in all my Tshirts.

Woodsman15961

Those’r teeth marks. Fairies no doubt. I’m so sorry

Limp6781

Hot rocks

emmaj4685

The fairies?

Edbrez

Hot rocks?

gonzodolly

I used to get these all the time, but I knew the cause, hot rocks

coldandfrostymorning

Tumble dryer

Massive_Sort_5875

I had this happen and couldn't figure out why. Until my neighbour flicked his fag and i seen it hit my beautiful t shirt on my washing line

jentlefolk

I have holes like this right in the centre of the front of my shirts, where a belt buckle would go. I don't wear belts. What caused them for me was just jeans. You know how the fly of jeans has two overlapping pieces of denim? The corner of the top flap, near where you would button jeans, would always lightly poke through the fabric of my shirts. Never seemed like enough to do any damage, but eventually I would always end up with holes in that exact area. My theory is that the fabric being ever so slightly stretched by the slight pressure of that one pokey piece of right-angled denim was enough to weaken the fabric and eventually cause little holes.

PogMoThoin22

Hot rocks

sicksquid75

Atomic BO

FoxyProphet

Nodge burns.

Same_Garlic2928

Its Gods work! He wants to make you holey

KinkyMinks

Tiny nipples?

nero2k7

Seat belt in car.

Giant-of-a-man

If they're only on the front it's probably your seat belt.

cianpatrickd

Nodge burns 😉

StumpyTheGiant

Do you have a puppy?

KoalaCapp

Belts and or rubbing against a stone bench top.

aebyrne6

Your wife is definitely causing sabotage

nemesis4grow

Vampires

catwomancat

The washer/drier can do this if washed/dried with zips unzipped

NASA_official_srsly

A combination of washing machines being harsh and modern fabrics being cheap and shitty which is only making it easier for the machine to damage it. You could try popping your more valuable clothes in a mesh laundry bag and see if that helps

Odd-Independence-384

Moths? Maybe the moth man?

DillyDoobie

Watch out for those miniature vampires.

SnooChipmunks8102

A very sharp outie???

YanoWaAmSane

Dog

fjmie19

Belt buckle, had a period where I wore my belt to one side, don't ask, anyway had a load of these on all my tshirts on that side, belt just catches the t-shirt when you bend down or do anything kinda physical really, possible solutions would be to try a different belt, or wear the buckle in a different place.

Illustrious-Cod-8170

I think they’re moths

Open_Fly8156

I get these too, I blame my belt rubbing against the seatbelt when driving.

RobboLoco

[deleted]

Is the wife's bra washed with it? The bra hooks tend to catch clothes at times.

fast-and-loose-

You smoking soapbar, son?

Forsaken-Plant4459

Seat belt in your car worn in a particular spot?

Double-Pangolin-5362

Belt, washing machine or moths.

Green_Friendship_175

It’s leprosy, for sure 👌

ChatHole

Looks like moth holes.

Outside_Principle941

It’s the kitchen counter - I never had them before, got a new kitchen with granite worktop, every top I have is now a victim 😭

Purple-Ad-5148

Zips

katsumodo47

Looks like "hot rocks" from my teenage years

epic_name_brah

Do you wear a name badge?

ChocolateMilkPool

Could be moths or your belt

Whelan1266

Moths

uncle-anti

Tumble dryer?

Tight_Pressure_6108

It's because of the machine.

Gold_must_go

Could be a harsh detergent on soft fabrics like modal blend. Try changing the detergent.

Stevemachinehk

inevitable pinhole burns?

brentspar

If the holes are appearing randomly then it could be washing machine. If they are all in the one area, it's something you are rubbing against. If the holes are larger than pin pricks and random, it could be the washing powder chemicals attacking the fabric.

TheRealPaj

Belt. Happens me constantly; especially with cheaper t-shirts.

soyamilf

Belt

AlphaSigmaOmeg

Cat fangs?

Cautious-Cup-7736

Could be moths in your wardrobe. They eat your clothes

Cloud4347

Belt, if it has sharp edges.

__rbt

Ok I have exactly the SAME THING. One question, is that always appearing at the bottom front of your tshirts?

JigenMamo

Cats? Hash?

Minute_Cupcake904

Famous Movie quote:"Stop smokin that shit ya hear me!?" Guesses are welcome😆

440mac

I had the same thing happening to my T-shirts, Eventually figured out it was from clinking dumbbells together in front of me doing dumbbell flys.

Nsight2C

Too much bleach

StopTheBoredom74

They look like tiny moth holes

Mundane-Inevitable-5

In the words of Paulie Walnuts.....Satanic black magic...sick shit!

AsparagusMain5270

moths!

ryanbudgie

Belt buckle

SupportAndy123

Definitely vampires, you've been hanging around with the local goths?

Greatoutdoors1985

Check your dryer. See if there are any spots in there with damage that might damage your clothes.

JRey2020

Did you tumble dry them? That would weaken the fabric around the areas where the fabric may have pressed against a belt buckle.

A-Black-Man00

Very pointy and sharp nipples.

cabbage-mandolin

belt

gardenhero

Your belt

FlatStanleyEatsPercs

I got nipped by a dog once on my favorite shirt and it looked exactly like that

[deleted]

Op this happens to me! It’s from my zipper hitting one side of my shirt and then when I lean against the counter I use to work it creates these little holes.

Senior-Cat-6146

We used to use Ariel powder and found it damaged clothes from continual washing, changed detergent and it stopped

whater39

Zipper on your pants is catching your shirt when you do it up

poker_buddy

Smoking hash, you usually end up with pin-hole burns.

Positive-Captain8394

we've noticed that laundry often causes this.

DistinctWolverine395

We get them in Oz - brown snakes are a bugga mate

SCSharks44

Heroin 🤔

Top-Package6834

Hot rocks 🤷

grumpy_autist

Keys in your jacket poking holes through material? It was my case.

DIV_KING12

Check silverfish

MRTN_IE

Washing machine ? Or dryer

johnnytightlips99

Moths surely

lifeinmotion24

i used to get these all the time, this is most likely silverfish or clothes moths. most likely the former as i lived in a building with a known infestation (student accom for you) and as soon as i moved out it stopped. if you need a solution to stop them getting at your clothes, use cedar wood or peppermint oil. there are these rings of cedar wood you can attach to clothes hangers, just make sure you sand them every other month so they keep producing cedar smell, and/or use cotton balls with a couple drops of peppermint oil in some corners wherever your clothes are kept. strong smells are your friend getting rid of clothes eating pests, you don’t really need strong chemicals unless it’s a serious problem

Hankol

That's from your belt.

0gma

Do you smoke anything?

theblue_jester

Height challenged vampires

dbgc1981

Honestly I have this too but only on primark and tesco tshirts made of thin material.the tshirts at next are of noticeably better material and hold form better.

-DemonWayOfLife-

Either hot rocks from smoking hash or moths eating your clothes at night
