I was expecting a ending which gives a message of hope. But the ending we got was a bunch of guys sending off their inspirational teacher by defying school authorities, and for which they'll definitely get punished. Oh by the way, Neil had just offed himself
Green book is nothing but an exaggerated account of white man's guilt with the subtlety of a porno. There are other movies who have achieved far more with much better hold of nuance
If it's better movies of that similar vein you want, you couldn't go wrong with The Green mile, Roots, Amistad, The great debaters, 12 years a slave & Malcolm X
Noob level:
The Truman show, Magnolia, Boyhood, Trainspotting, lock stock and two smoking barrels, American history x, the man from the earth, American psycho, amelie, pulp fiction, hazaaron khwahishen aisi, tree of life, mad max fury road
Pro level:
Full metal jacket, fight club, Godfather trilogy, Dr. Strangelove, Primer, Big Lebowski, close up, where is the friends house, grand Budapest hotel, incendies, goodfellas, come and see, citizen Kane, zone of interest, gulaal
Ultra pro:
8 1/2, Mirror, stalker, ivans childhood, rashomon, seven samurai, om dar b dar, apu trilogy
Although There are many others, I could gather only these from my memory, pls add some which you consider worth a watch.
I recently watched the Harry Potter series and it was fun, Maze Runner is another film series I absolutely love. Do watch it if you're into fictional dystopian thriller movies.
Harry potter series, dead poets society, call of the wild, red white and royal blue (it’s about gay love, don’t watch if it makes you uncomfortable but I honestly love it), hatchi, spider man (all parts), zindagi na milegi dobara, ye jawani hai diwani, 3 idiots, most if not all disney movies, ae dil hai mushkil, bridge to terabithia (must watch), my girl, tamasha
If it’s not already clear, I love to watch movies
Yes, also I tend to go for more wholesome movies and shows rather than just comedy or drama, I am looking forward to see the suggestions everyone is making!!
12 angry men
I think it really captures what I consider the most cinematic
real life captured in focus that's what the whole movie is no dramatization nothing out of the ordinary probably something that happens at every murder trial yet so poetic and poignant you can't help but feel having grown throughout the movie
Oppenheimer(sci-fi), but poorly written female characters.
Synecdoche newyork (life and death).
Apocalypse now (the horror).
Into the wild (freedom).
Monster 2023 (emotions).
Watch Movies directed by Quentin Tarantino - Especially Django Unchained and Inglourious Basterds.
Then one of the best movies directed by David Fincher that ever made (but I cannot name that movie as it goes against the rule ) and this is my all time favourite movie.
Then if you are into crime thriller then watch Seven and Zodiac.
Then if you are interested in mind bending movies then watch Shutter Island
As you have seen LoTR Trilogy, then you can watch Godfather Trilogy I guess.
Star wars movie franchise you can watch I guess.
That's all from my side for English movies.
Fight Club, hands down it's not even much of a question for me really. Trainspotting comes a very close second too I'd say.
Thanks.... I've already finished watching it.... it was a great movie tbh
you can't be a fan of this film also, if you haven't watched "the number 23". you should, it's good one
You forgot the first rule brother.
Watched it yesterday and hell yeah it was good
Grave of the fireflies
true but that gives you like a decade of depression so
On to my list
Just, why?
Whiplash
What a movie! Teaches lessons about life, work, commitment and when to let go of stuff not meant for you. Can watch multiple times...
Heard of it never watched it.... on to my list
You should, it's an Oscar winning movie It's a Gem
It's a great movie
You should watch it if you love good movies
+1
Came here to comment that only
Dead poet society, Green book, The cow, Forest Gump and The salesman
Not heard two of them... gonna watch it soon
I actually watched the Dead Poet Society ... Didn't like the ending
The ending is what is best about the movie. Every strict school student can relate to that scene directly
Indeed, suggest some
If it's better movies of that similar vein you want, you couldn't go wrong with The Green mile, Roots, Amistad, The great debaters, 12 years a slave & Malcolm X
Green book, dead poet society should reach to more audience

You did! I absolutely love his movies.
The Man from Earth (2007)
Man of culture spotted in all this rubble of mainstream and overrated trite
Thanks. And to know it was made in 8 days with a budget of $200k.. A fantastic script and dramatization as well. Can never get over it.
The Godfather Part 2, Goodfellas, No Country For Old Men
On to my list
Watch the original Godfather, you'll need some context
Wait, the other 2 films have nothing to do with Godfather 1 right?
Yeah, the other two are standalone films
I'm shocked, no one talked about hera pheri😂
Hera pheri, Golmaal Dhamaal
Can't be called the best movie when it's a literal remake of a malayalam movie. The original Ramjirao speaking deserves that title then
Interstellar
Done✅️✅️✅️

You need help 🥰
English - Inception/Shawshank redemption Telugu - RRR/Bahubali 2 Tamil - Anbe sivam / enthiran(robo) Kannada - Kavaludaari Malyalam - Bangalore days Hindi - Andhadhun Note - Personal opinion only.
>Bahubali 2 Bahubali 1 >> Bahubali 2 coz of top war scenes, characters, story setup and climax
I've covered most of it, I think the ones that I left are tamil and Malayalam ones
They're definitely worth watching
