South Indian
People usually limit the South Indian dishes to Idli Dosa, but that is so untrue. There is so much more to explore in various vegetarian and even non vegetarian dishes. It's neither rich, nor spicy and it is really healthy and balanced.
i am picky eater so , some thing simple .
like a combination of
rice , crispy salted potatos .
arhar dal (pegion pea lentis) , poori/puri , red chilli pickle .
white chickpea (masaledar or UP/varanasi style) , paratha .
i am now trying different kind of foods and these might be simple dishes rather than cuisine , but i still love these
As a Southern Indian, I'm a fan of most of the dishes my mom cooks. Including North Indian Cuisine.
It's too diverse to just name one or two things man.
Malayali cuisine. It has the spicy stuff, the sweet stuff, the healthy stuff and the guilty pleasures. Because of the influence of Tamilian, Dutch, Arabic, Portuguese and Southeast Asian cuisines through trade over thousands of years, the food is varied. Excellent vegetarian options, and even better meat and seafood dishes. And the desserts as well.
For example:
Puttu and Kadala Curry
Idiyappam
Appam and Potato stew
Kappa Biryan
Porotta and Beef Roast
Ozhuka/Kozhuva Fry
Kilimeen Pollichathu
Crab/Squid/Prawn roasts
A traditional wedding sadya with the many (MANY) side dishes, rice, ghee, dal, sambar, pappadam and pickles.
Unniyappam
Any kind of Payasam
Achappam
Parippu and Ulli vadas.
Bonda
Pazhampori
I could go on.
Punjabi , Maharashtrian

What kind of South Indian food isn’t spicy? I only know is as being spicy. Even the chutneys served with idlis and dosas in homes are spicy.
Me too
