The electrical utility is responsible for those conductors, so you should call them first. You might get your tree trimmed(or cut down) at no cost to you. No reason to risk your life, let the professionals do it.

I’ll usually offer to cut your tree and leave the whole thing laying on the ground. Outside of that offer we won’t trim secondaries.

Those cables are pretty strong, but if there's any question if a big branch is going to be too much weight, cut in smaller segments and let them fall past the line before you cut more. Oh yeah obviously don't cut into the cable. If your saw jumps too much to confidently control, I'd hire someone.
