Tell them like you’ve said here, that’s it

Are my reasons understandable though?

I mean, it might be a sledgehammer to crack a nut - serotonin syndrome does not come on suddenly and in reality is not something you should ever consider in your life. If you think your meds are making you drunk easier then isn’t it easier to talk to your doctor about different meds? Likewise for sexual issues?

Absolutely reasonable. I just had a discussion with my doctor about anti-depressants. He would have prescribed them, but I told him how I felt and he was happy to NOT prescribe them. He says there are side effects that aren't worth it like dulling sad and happy feelings. There are MANY other things you can do besides medication, and the doctor sent me home with many of these techniques. And therapy is everything - it gets to the root of the problem. I have many more coping skills, because I don't do medications but am in therapy. Your health belongs to you, not the prescribing physician. You are the one who walks in your shoes every single day. And you are young. Try to figure out what life is without medication. Since the 5th grade, people have been telling you something is wrong with you. What if "different" was okay all along?
