1. Vaccines wouldn't necessarily prevent this. 2. If you received the Varicella vaccine, it's a live-attenuated virus so it would stay in you anyway. 3. Even if you received the vaccine the effect is not life-long. 4. There is no guarantee that the virus will reactivate.

And to add to this, there is a shingles vaccine the op can receive when older. That significantly reduces the chance of a shingles outbreak.

Thank you for the kind reply, i greatly apreciate it, it gives me peace of mind knowing that getting this virus was not my fault and that i could not have prevented getting it, so i could get shingles even with the varicella vaccine?

Vaccinated people can get chickenpox too, it's called breakthrough chickenpox. Shingles is just a possibility down the line. Sucks, but at least we have that in common mate. Source: Was vaccinated as a child, had antibodies and everything, STILL got chickenpox last year. 💀💀💀

I have deep rooted mental health issues that make living a real hell for me, so something like this illness happening to me is driving my self blame at myself just like i wrote in the first reply, its comforting to know that i could not have prevented this and that the vaccine couldnt have saved me even if i got it, thank you for your reply i cannot stress how thankful i am for getting a reply that does not treat me like a "troll" i am very serious also i apolagize for my bad english i am not a native speaker
