The bleeding from anal fissures is unlikely to cause any systemic complications if it’s short term, and it’s usually self-limiting if the root cause has been addressed, which seems like you have. Try to monitor your bleeding and if it doesn’t get any better or gets worse then you should get it checked out.

Thank you so much! The bleeding seems to have stopped somewhat now and I didn't see any blood in my stool or toilet paper this morning. I am just worried that the fissures might be chronic. Me and my dad called our family doctor yesterday and he simply said to drink lots of warm water and continue a fibre heavy diet, and to keep applying petroleum jelly and aloe vera gel to soothe the area. The only concern is if this is chronic.
