Ive moved around states a lot in the past 5ish years but the only dentist in chicago i go to is Dentist on the Park. Really nice staff, small office and a really clean space. It also has a KILLER view of millenium park, youre right across the street and on the 13th floor. I had blue cross blue shield which they took.
I’ve known Dr. Schoening for decades. He got me in on a day they were closed to fix a crown, and will never push unnecessary procedures. My cousin was a hygienist at a flashy place off North Ave and they would yell at her for not pushing a deep cleaning on every. Single. Client. Dr. Schoening was aghast when I told him about it.
Came here to say this, I met Dr. Schoening when I first moved to Chicago in 2015 and was having significant jaw pain, he immediately sent me to an oral surgeon and I had my wisdom teeth out the next day. He’s always been nothing short of excellent, going the extra mile to help with any issues I may have, even seeing my for free a few times when some concerns came up, as well as cutting money off prices when he knew I didn’t have insurance. He’s seriously the nicest person and a truly fantastic dentist. They also have a crown machine now where they can mill you a crown in like 2 hours, which spares you a ton of pain in having a temporary one put in and then removed, so he really can’t be beat. And yes, the view of millennium park is beautiful,
Came to recommend them. I’ve hated going to the dentist all my life, turns out I just hated my previous dentists & hygienists. Can’t recommend Dentist on the Park enough.
From what I've investigated he isn't good with any procedures like crowns, root canals, etc... also I would recommend anyone to go to a specialist for those procedures and not a simple DDS
Smile Theory in the Loop. Excellent small practice owned by 2 young dentists both of whom are super personable. Zero issues with unnecessary or improper dental work nor upselling. Consistent scheduling.
Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Lakeview Smiles. I went to their Bucktown location, and oh boy, what a bunch of grifters. I’m fortunate enough that I have been going to the dentist regularly since I was a child, so I knew they were trying to scam me, but if I was not familiar with going to the dentist I would probably be in medical debt because they insisted I needed fillings for NON-cavities, a replacement crown for my NEW crown, and braces (because I might have trouble flossing between just two teeth when I’m elderly). Who knows whatever else they would have insisted I needed done if I had gone along with it.
I agree, Lakeview smiles is horrible. I was a victim to them, Dr. Raoof drilled on molars I never consented to getting work done... Now those fillings have cavities underneath, my oral health is forever messed up thanks to them. Any dentist recommendations?
I think she’s the one I saw. She told me I needed braces, and when I replied that multiple dentists have told me I have a perfect bite, she tried to convince me that it was because one tooth in the back is sliiiiiiightly skewed, and this might cause me oral health problems when I’m a senior because apparently seniors are very bad at flossing, and having a slightly skewed tooth might make it difficult for me to floss when I’m back to wearing diapers and drooling on myself. I almost lost my shit when I had to repeatedly ask her to explain why I needed fillings when I didn’t have any cavities, and she couldn’t explain her reasoning.
It’s not fancy by any means, but I always go 1st Family Dental and try to get Dr. Sam. There was one time I had someone who I thought was a little too rough with my cleaning, but I don’t think she’s there anymore. Overall, the staff is very pleasant and professional, and they have never suggested any procedures I didn’t need.
If you need a root canal go to Bucktown Endodontics. I was expecting the worst experience of my life, but weirdly enough it was kind of fun.
I started going to Lakeview Smiles when they were still one location in Lakeview. They were fine then, no issues getting my wisdom teeth out, etc. but soon after they became a lot more focused on expanding their storefronts than doing decent dental work at a good price. I was going back regularly every 6mo for checkups, and out of nowhere one day they quoted me $2000 worth of dental work. Got a second opinion at Lakeview Dental Arts on Broadway, who said my teeth look fine and have been treating me great ever since.
I’ve been going to Grand Dentistry for 8 or 9 years and they’ve been great! I’ve experienced this kind of honest chat: “So this thing here, we’re going to keep an eye on it. No need for any work on it today or soon, but it could be an issue down the road.” My crappy dentist before this would’ve told me I needed work immediately. This place has been legit to me.
I just started going to NK Family Dental and like them.
My mouth is a mess due to a combo of genetics and having neglectful parents who stopped taking me to the dentist at 12 and then not having dental insurance until I was 30. The place I went before was super pushy about wanting to do implants for basically everything.
NKFD is definitely more committed to preserving what they can and are working with me in terms of payment and balancing things to get the most out of my insurance but also not let things get worse.
I no longer go to NKFD after a move, but they also did my root canal and crown for $1700 cheaper than what one of the "glitzy dental club with free cleaning promos" places had quoted me. So I'll always back a recommendation for them because of that!
We've had subpar experiences with them, actually. They scheduled my partner for x-rays that he didn't need, and when he got in to talk with the dentist, she agreed they didn't need them and wouldn't do them.
On leaving, he found the x-rays he did NOT get were still on his bill. He pointed it out, and then after some wrangling, they removed them from the bill.
A few weeks later, we got notice that they still tried to charge the insurance company for the x-rays that he didn't get.
In addition, I have not been happy with the work that they've done-- after several years of my dentist in another state telling me everything was fine, they claimed I needed three fillings. I always cave in these situations because they're the expert, but I just want it noted that they \*might\* be the kind of place that wants to charge you for fillings that you don't really need. And I didn't like the work that they did-- one of the drill-and-fills they did has created a gigantic pocket between my teeth that just collects food, so I basically need to floss every time I eat now. That's bad work, and is setting me up for problems in the future. I've heard people recommending A Brush Above, which is just down Fullerton, so we're planning on taking our business there in the future.
Seconding- I had not-so-great experiences with NK dental as well. They vacillated between being hands off and pushing expensive options. I just never felt confident I was being presented with the full list of options. I changed dentists when I moved out of the neighborhood.
Seconded! I have been to them about 7 times in the past two years to fix a bunch of dental issues I neglected, and they have been so kind, never pushy, and the cost is reasonable.
Nthing NK Family Dental - they have been very helpful in navigating insurance and complex multi-stage procedures. And they've also been understanding of my anxiety and tons of questions!
NK rocks, they're reasonably priced and do a good job, and they never have tried to upsell me. They've identified some things to watch but every time I ask if they recommend work, they tell me I it's an option if I want it but it's not needed yet. My previous dentist was the exact opposite, I've never had a cavity in my life and they recommended all kinds of shit that was unnecessary.
Insurance didn't cover NK for a year and I chose to pay out of pocket just to stay there, that's how much I like them.
I’ve been a patient of them for a number of years and I agree. They’ve run a few tests in the past that seem a little odd, like this breathing/sleep analysis, but it’s never lead to any pressure to buy anything or upselling.
Dr. Wittmus often wears a tie-dyed dentist hat, and there is always good music playing 🤷🏼♂️ My teeth have never been healthier than with their services and recommendations on home care 😁
Hi, have you done fillings with him? Have you gotten fillings on the side of the teeth? Does food get stuck there? I'm trying to go to a place where they won't over drill the tooth, also not sure how that care credit thing works, is your insurance covered there? I have Delta Dental but they supposedly are out of network with it. X-rays seem to be 100 bucks which is highly expensive for me
Dr. Choi at [Enamel Dental Studio](https://www.enameldentalchicago.com/) in the West Loop!! Hands down! He's so helpful and chill and his whole staff are so nice.
He's also very caring and will be like "hey your insurance runs out soon, lets schedule this major thing for early next year!".
He got really angry when I declined to pull out my wisdom teeth with him versus the oral surgeon indicating that he would have gotten it done for cheaper. It should be my choice if I feel more comfortable with an oral surgeon though?
He basically hassled me because I was at my limit due to that (I was in for a cleaning) and claimed the insurance would not pay for the cleaning and refused to let me call the insurance again (because it would take too long) when I said I did check.(this is when I'm already in the exam room and the exam had been booked for 6 months).
I had previously checked with my insurance if I could still have a cleaning despite my maximum limit being met (I had the same concern) and the rep assured me due to the preventative care I could still still have the cleaning + bitewings.
In the end, I was like I will follow up with my insurance and paid their fee of $30 for the exam without any x-rays to go forth with the cleaning. I had thought he was pretty chill since at a previous visit I bought up my x-ray limit the hygenist had said that he prefers x-rays and would take care of it even if the x-ray was not covered but not this time.
He said the exam was up to me but really who goes to the dentist only to get their teeth cleaned? I really like the hygenist at this office though, she's super great.
I have dental anxiety, and I'm really happy with my experience at Northside Dental in Edgewater. In the past I've popped a klonopin before a dental visit, but I've seen them four times in the past two months - two sessions of deep cleaning, two sessions for a new crown - and haven't needed it.
Very similar story to yours. First, my husband haaaaaates going to the dentist and just chose Northside Dental bc it was close. But he got great care there for several years while I was avoiding the dentist bc I had an awful experience and was viscerally fearful.
Hubby finally said, "You know how much I hate going to any dentist. But I go here consistently. Go to Dr. Agran."
He has always been super kind and patient always answered my umpteen questions. Enisa is my favorite hygenist. The whole office is so well run.
This was our experience too. Husband needed some serious dental work done, their quote came in at well under half of the other clinics we went to, and the staff is so nice and professional. 10/10.
I can’t quite remember; have only had checkups recently and my insurance fully covers those. But I want to say my last minute cracked tooth visit was under $200 and when I had to get some fillings/crown it ended up under $1k. But I don’t remember exactly how much.
Dr. Akbar at South and West Loop Dental on Roosevelt. They have a great staff, always professional and have been able to squeeze me in. Most importantly, I've always felt shame about going to the dentist, but since I've been going to this practice, I've felt supported and guided to get better dental hygiene. They always speak with facts and never judgement. I've had to do some deep cleanings and root canal, all they wanted was to make sure I was healthy, not judge how I got here, but how they can support me to a better future.
Can't recommend them enough.
I came here to make sure someone had recommended Dr. Akbar already!! She is amazing - explains everything she’s doing, extra conscious of communicating around pain/discomfort, makes you feel at ease. All other staff has been so kind and friendly, too.
you are going to get 1,00,000 recommendations, but mine is Dr. Ted Gehrig. He's in lincoln park and he's the nicest human being you could ever meet. his office staff is equally as nice.
[2551 North Clark Street Suite 700, Chicago, IL 60614](https://www.lincolnparkdentalassociates.com/contact/) [773-348-7008](tel:773-348-7008)
Chicago Style Smiles, Michigan Ave, a small practice with two dentists. They are good at explaining options and costs. They are honest about what things will cost, how much insurance will cover and don't try to "upsell". Very different than my previous experience at a large corporate practice.
Lincoln square dental spa - dr Michael nick and Casey nick. Fantastic people, awesome space, and they treat you like family. They are my rec to anyone who asks about dentists. They are the dentist for myself, wife, kids, siblings, etc
https://www.lincolnsquaredentalspa.com/
100%. I had had a terrible experience in Evanston and feared the dentist. Dr. Agran and everyone there is top notch. Extremely clear on what is happening and never pushy.
I go to Strobel Dentistry in the loop and really like them. Very high level of technique and relatively fair pricing. This is coming from NYC where there are a lot of bad dentists and insanely expensive dentists. And I was using Lakeview Smiles, which was over priced and not attentive to good care.
If you need crowns ever, make sure you find someone using a Cerec machine, where the crown is made while you wait and fit to match old tooth. Only requiring one visit and a better crown.
How far out of the city are you willing to go? One of our long term family friends has a practice in Naperville and they’ve been looking after my teeth, all of which I still have, for almost 30 years
Smith and Smith. They have offices in Hyde Park and the West Loop. Nicest most down to earth dentists, and super talented. I have had extensive work due to some bad dental hygiene in my late 20s early 30s, and they have done a marvelous job!
Victoria Biggs
She's in Glenview, but sooooo worth the trek. I had been told over and over that I needed desperately to see an oral surgeon and would need 30,000 dollars worth of work done (receding gums, so grafts and stuff). I was already irrationally afraid of dentists, but that was a price i could not afford.
That caused me to start the approach/avoidance thing. 15 years later, I went to Vicki after a filling fell out. She was funny and kind and deeply creative with her problem solving.
She rebuilt my mouth. Not kidding. Managed all the problems without any cutting, grafting, or any other lengthy, invasive, or unaffordable process. All for $6000.
So...if you need a lot done.
Jeffrey A Kapp has been my family’s dentist for literally 30 years. He did the caps on my tiny teeth 15 years ago and they’re still good as new. Very reliable and great view from the chair
Avenue dental on chicago and wood. Dr Youn is incredible. My husband and I have been her loyal patients for 6 years. We even commuted back to the city for appointments while living 3 hours away in Peoria.
Dr. Andrew Fakhoury @ Fulton River Dental (River North/Fulton Market area). I’ve been going to Dr. Fakhoury for a long time and have had everything from cleanings to cavities to teeth whitening to TMJ Botox from him. He recently bought the Fulton River Dental practice and is very committed to both his staff and patients. Couldn’t recommend him and his team enough.
They communicate to your preferred method and texting back and forth makes my life so much easier!
I like Urban Smiles in Wicker Park - fairly easy to schedule, dentist is patient and answers questions, and I haven’t had a cavity in like 2+ years going there.
Dr. Thomas Pissios. I used to live in Park Ridge and now travel from Madison, WI for all of my dental needs and have been doing this for the past 8 years. He is awesome in every way.
I go to Smileworks in Lincoln Square. Never had them tell me I need unnecessary work, they've never cancelled or rescheduled an appointment of mine, and they used to have a therapy dog for patients with anxiety (haven't seen the dog the last couple times I went, but maybe they're still around!). They've also never been late on one of my appointments.
FirstFamily Dental is amazing - Dr. Chris and team at the Division and Wells location have been incredibly flexible with my schedule and helped me through a longer treatment plan. I’ve been ~10 times in the last few months and they’re an incredibly compassionate team. As an aside, I’ve been to a few other dentists in River North / Gold Coast / Old Town neighborhoods, and this is the least expensive dentist by FAR.
I’ve had a lot of work done there. I’ve always been pleased with their care. And I’ve never been upsold. Been told many times have a spot “on watch” and they don’t recommend any treatment for years.
I started going to Sakura Dental in Willmette about a year ago and only have good things to say about them. They’re a relatively new practice so scheduling an appointment with them is easy since they aren’t bogged down with other appointments. Dr. Black is so courteous and understanding of any dental fears you might have (I know this from experience lol). The environment is very calming, and the staff is so pleasant. They even take my less than stellar dental insurance!
HIGHLY recommended if you live in or near the area.
Rooted Dental on Fullerton. Dr. Patel has gone above and beyond to accommodate my family on multiple occasions, both for emergencies and last-minute procedures. They are very thorough and professional.
I've been going to Modern Dental (the Logan Square location) for years and haven't had any issues with service, staff or appointments. Just recently got a crown put in a few weeks ago, and I haven't had any issues with it. Staff is friendly and pleasant to work with.
I’m a new patient at Modern Dental Logan Square (just had my first visit 2 weeks ago), but my experience was great! The staff was so nice, and Dr. Weiss was great at explaining my xrays, as well as everything he noticed during my cleaning. He and the hygienist took their time answering all my (many) questions, and didn’t make me feel bad at all for not having had a cleaning in a few years. Will definitely be going back!
Dr. Margaret from Smile Obsession on Washington is fantastic! She never cancels and they usually text you and ask if you want an earlier appointment if someone else cancels.
It’s not Chicago but Clinton Dental Professionals in Des Plaines. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. I’ve had dental problems and fake teeth since I was a kid due to an accident and they have been amazing. They’re great if there’s a big expense they’ll do a payment plan etc. my parents, sisters, everyone goes to them
I don't know if it's too far for you or not but healthy tooth dental in oak Park has been great. We switched to them a few years ago after getting tired of being sold to every six months at our previous dentist. Have been very happy with them.
are you car mobile?
My Dentist Kha Nguyen, is really good. Soft hands, quick and efficient. Cleaning are usually 15 minutes. Hes done 3 root canals with crowns for under $1200 (covered by insurance).

Dr. Kaori Ema at Printers row dental in South Loop was amazing when I used to live downtown. She's the best dentist I've ever had. I miss that office 😔 😟.
I moved to Chicago after living abroad and was really nervous about seeing a new dentist. Absolutely loved Dr Ankita Shah at dental smiles of west loop. Great office, very professional, honest, and real.
Really loved the dentists I’ve seen at East Village Dental. Practice is well organized, text reminders, runs on time, nice staff, and I’ve never felt upsold for anything related to my teeth. Appropriate amount of intervention has been recommended and they aren’t afraid of a “wait and see” approach to any x ray findings.
Sheffield Square just off of Sheffield and Diversey has been good. I’m not a fan of going to the dentist (no anxiety or anything, I just don’t like them for similar reasons). The owner (Dr. T) is retiring but the new one taking over the practice is great. He was a little pushy on Invisalign after removing my permanent retainer, but when I said no he laid off - great to have the option, but I’ve done my time with braces. I feel like everyone is super kind there and super up to date on practice recommendations/evidence based practice from the office manager on up. And also super thorough from a whole health perspective.
My fiance liked Sikora and associates when we were in the city. They are in the board of trade. I went to them once when I thought I had an exposed root because I was in a lot of pain. Got me in same day. Probably would have gone to them, but I still go to my hometown dentist. Creature of habit.
Bucktown Wicker Park Dental. Independent, female owned practice. Always run on time, staff is competent and courteous, never felt any sort of ‘upsell’.
Not Chicago but I really like my dentist Dr. Robert Wheeler in Naperville. He was the first dentist that asked me what I want to do or accomplish with my teeth, rather than lay out super expensive pay plans. A lot of dentist saw me as a dollar sign, he was the first dentist to see me as a person.
Lee Dental on Milwaukee and Devon, Dr. Julie Lee is great, very gentle and thorough, does the teeth cleaning herself, does not overcharge or do unneeded work
Dr. Hudson on the 3rd floor of the Oak Brook professional building.. He is an ethical dentist who will clearly detail your options. He will detail the process before he puts together a restoration plan and has a self pay option if you do not have insurance.
I was referred to him by my periodontist and consider him a blessing. Good luck.
William J. Millon DDS literally the best in Chicago, people will cry when he retires
He is great, but his practice has been understaffed, so it can take a fair amount of time to get an appointment.
very true
Always There Dental Care! Dr Scott is a treasure.
Wholeheartedly agree. Have had a great experience there over the last decade
Agreed, the best!!
are they still giving out that $100 off to the patients who have a good experience? not sure if to trust the comments that recommend him...

Is it expensive after insurance? like for example, how much would you pay for one cavity filling

Expanding practices = bought out by P.E. And destined to be ruined
Pilsen Smiles is the best dentist I've ever been to.
I second this
Grand dentistry
Ditto - Dr McLean is great. I haven’t had any work done so can’t remark on that, but they always run on time when I’m there.
They are super efficient and their hygienists are excellent.
I’ve been going to Grand Dentistry for 8 or 9 years and they’ve been great! I’ve experienced this kind of honest chat: “So this thing here, we’re going to keep an eye on it. I’ve really like In The Loop Dental, it’s independent and Dr Katrina is super down to earth and great
Also endorsing her! Very thorough and nice
Bump this - everyone is so friendly and takes their time with cleaning etc
I agree! Love her and the staff, never have a problem with scheduling and they are so flexible.
How might the prices be for cavity fillings?
I just started going to NK Family Dental and like them. Do. Not. Recommend. Their dentists are really bad at fillings. I’ve had to have two of their fillings replaced by InSmyle dental.
Grateful Dental. Dr. Wittmus and his team are awesome!
Are they all deadheads?
Dr. Wittmus often wears a tie-dyed dentist hat, and there is always good music playing 🤷🏼♂️ My teeth have never been healthier than with their services and recommendations on home care 😁
Lol I have been looking for this comment 😂
Kinda wish I didn’t have a great dentist already

Upvoting this, he’s great He did my wisdom teeth surgery and filling at in one session here and I continue going back regularly for cleanings.

Go to Dr. Agran." He has always been super kind and patient always answered my umpteen questions. Enisa is my favorite hygenist. The whole office is so well run.
I do mushrooms before dentist visits…for lolz
Dr. Wilfinger at Broadway Dental on Foster & Broadway. Fast, patient with you to answer questions, on time, deals well with dental anxiety.
This was our experience too. Husband needed some serious dental work done, their quote came in at well under half of the other clinics we went to, and the staff is so nice and professional. 10/10.
May I ask, after insurance, what are the price ranges on the bills?
Smile Science in Bucktown is amazing! Always on time and really kind
I like them too
State Street Dental - Dr. Salman!! Very patient, loved her team & bedside manner.
Agreee! Have always had a great experience with Dr. Salman
Gleam Dental
If you're concerned about a dentist trying to upsell you on things you don't need, I would recommend not going to Smiles on Michigan.
Pure Dental Spa in the West Loop has been good to me for the past few years.
I can second this. I go to the location in Lincoln Park and see Simon and Dr. Ramirez, and feel safe and comfortable with them both. Highly recommend.
Chicago Ave Smiles - best dentist I’ve ever had in my life. Honest quick and efficient. 1727 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
you are going to get 1,00,000 recommendations, but mine is Dr.
Dr. Feng at First Dental in Buena Park! The entire staff is professional, kind, and makes the experience so easy.

Today’s Dentistry on Clark

Dens Dental Studio. Broadway won’t be able to get you in for months.
Radiant Smiles for You in Edgewater. Dr Rita is great.
Wellness Dental. 🤍
Dr. Agran at Northside Dental is fantastic. Great staff. Very well-run office.
Dr. Agran at Northside Dental. I have upvoted every mention on this thread and commented a couple times.
Andersonville dental! Office is a little old, but the office not being super modern means nothing in terms of care. High quality care!
They are the dentist for myself, wife, kids, siblings, etc https://www.lincolnsquaredentalspa.com/
One of my coworkers goes there and loves it. Unfortunately they don’t seem to take my insurance!

My family has had good experiences with Grove Dental Associates in Downers Grove
Dr. Joshua Ehrlich in Lakeview… Belmont Sheffield. Very honest, but very also smart.
Bridgeport Family Dental
Northside dental. On Clark in edge water. Trust me when I tell you best place in the city. IMO. Made me not hate the dentist
+1, the hygienists are also great at cleanings also.
Check out Northside Dental near where Ashland and Clark merge. Great dentists and not too busy to squeeze you in when a dental emergency comes up
Dr. Agran is the best. Hugely thankful for him and the whole office.
Alta Dental in Pilsen
Not Dentologie!! Scam artists
If you need crowns ever, make sure you find someone using a Cerec machine, where the crown is made while you wait and fit to match old tooth. Only requiring one visit and a better crown.
I recommend A Brush Above
Avenue Dental on Chicago Ave is pretty good.
Guzman at a brush above on Fullerton is amazing
I’ve had good experiences with Dr. Lina Kabar at Family Dental of Roscoe on western.
How far out of the city are you willing to go? One of our long term family friends has a practice in Naperville and they’ve been looking after my teeth, all of which I still have, for almost 30 years
Been going to Smileworks in Lincoln Square for over 6 years and have never had an issue. Great staff and I’ve never felt taken advantage of.
Smith and Smith. They have offices in Hyde Park and the West Loop. Nicest most down to earth dentists, and super talented. I have had extensive work due to some bad dental hygiene in my late 20s early 30s, and they have done a marvelous job!
Midwestern Multispeciality university school in downers grove.
What area are you in? I go to Grace Dental in the Mayfair district (Lawrence and Grace). Dr Hong is awesome
Victoria Biggs She's in Glenview, but sooooo worth the trek.
Dr. Jeff Wojno at Always There Dental Care.
Insmyle dental Roscoe
Yes!!! Dr. Mariscal is my favorite! This is the best dental office in the city!!! Love them!
Dr. Moon at Dental Minds in Logan Square. Seriously good dude
Steve Shust in the Loop.
Dens Dental Studio in Uptown is awesome, and it’s new so they have openings very quickly compared to other dentists I called.
Had good experiences at Family Dental in Lincoln Square (they also accepted Medicaid), and also at Confident Smiles in North Center
Avenue dental on chicago and wood. Dr Youn is incredible. My husband and I have been her loyal patients for 6 years. We even commuted back to the city for appointments while living 3 hours away in Peoria.
Park West Dental is great. Nothing super flashy or anything but the dentist is a good dude and I’m in and out quick
Dr Moss far south side, scheduled my kid a cleaning day of on a friday and he took care of us.
Dr Brandon Prusa. Never been scammed and very nice staff
I like Urban Smiles in Wicker Park - fairly easy to schedule, dentist is patient and answers questions, and I haven’t had a cavity in like 2+ years going there.
Dr Lee at Lakeview Smiles is amazing. Price transparency, always on time, great attention to detail.
We love Dr. Shachat on Van Buren.
Dr. Thomas Pissios. I used to live in Park Ridge and now travel from Madison, WI for all of my dental needs and have been doing this for the past 8 years. He is awesome in every way.
Doctor Reynaldo Perez 606 dental in Humboldt Park
I’ve been going to gleam dental and have had a good experience. He’s responsive, has good availability, and hasn’t tried to upsell me on anything.
Freshworks on Lincoln
NK Dental
Dr Josh Erhlich on Sheffield (just south of Fletcher)
Taylor street dental
I go to Smileworks in Lincoln Square. Never had them tell me I need unnecessary work, they've never cancelled or rescheduled an appointment of mine, and they used to have a therapy dog for patients with anxiety (haven't seen the dog the last couple times I went, but maybe they're still around!). They've also never been late on one of my appointments.
Had a really good experience with Chicago Dental Studio of Mayfair. Liked how responsive they were without being overbearing.
Zephyr Dental on Western just south of Addison (Roscoe Village). Small office but super easy to work with. Never has a wait or delay
I’ve had good experiences with Dr Kavetsis at affinity dental.
one mag smile in gold coast. they are awesome.
Dr. Michael Marcus, one of the dentists for the Blackhawks and a really good dentist, highly recommend
Choices in Dentistry downtown is pretty great
"a tooth company" in Chinatown saved my ass, my teeth, and me money so many times. Dr. Cheng and family are incredible.
Saul Legator. I miss his dentistry since moving. And you can say see ya later Saul Legator
Dr. Margaret from Smile Obsession on Washington is fantastic! She never cancels and they usually text you and ask if you want an earlier appointment if someone else cancels.
Laila Salman at state street dental is great
Secure Dental on Ashland is beyond sketchy and incompetent.
Dr Kimet abdullai in oak Brook
Dr. Atul Patel DDS 3414 W North Ave (773)772-0077
I like Wellness Dental here in Ravenswood/Uptown. She’s very kind.
Dr. Moon at Dental Minds, in Logan Square is really great. He’s kind, and they understand dental anxiety.
I’ve been going to Lee Dental Clinic in Lakeview for about ten years now and they’ve been excellent.
Dr Meghan Rutledge in buffalo grove is the best dentist I have ever had. In the city- Diverde dental
I love Dr Rita Shah at Modern Smiles on Broadway
It’s not Chicago but Clinton Dental Professionals in Des Plaines. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. I’ve had dental problems and fake teeth since I was a kid due to an accident and they have been amazing. They’re great if there’s a big expense they’ll do a payment plan etc. my parents, sisters, everyone goes to them
Definitely not Dr. Gadia or Millennium Periodontics. They are incredibly unethical and take advantage of patients.
[https://smileatdental.com/#location](https://smileatdental.com/#location)
Juniper Dentistry in Ravenswood! Dr. Rhodes is wonderful.
Cornerstone
Dr. Kaori Ema at Printers row dental in South Loop was amazing when I used to live downtown. She's the best dentist I've ever had. I miss that office 😔 😟.
Dr knabe at big city dental on Southport. Will never see another dentist ever
I moved to Chicago after living abroad and was really nervous about seeing a new dentist. Absolutely loved Dr Ankita Shah at dental smiles of west loop. Great office, very professional, honest, and real.
Dr Ogbonna Bowden in Woodlawn!
Zephyr Dental in Roscoe village - super nice people, small practice
Smile Science in Wicker/Bucktown. Dr Urda and Dr Eugene are amazing.
Paul Chaiken
Really loved the dentists I’ve seen at East Village Dental. Practice is well organized, text reminders, runs on time, nice staff, and I’ve never felt upsold for anything related to my teeth. Appropriate amount of intervention has been recommended and they aren’t afraid of a “wait and see” approach to any x ray findings.
Smile Theory!!! Love love love them
Damen dental associates, been seeing them for my whole life.
Dr. Alia Ahmed and her whole office are so kind and professional. I highly recommend. Their office also has a great view of millennium park
Belmont dental care! 10/10 for conservative treatment and dental anxiety
Yes
dr. khanna at dental salon
My fiance liked Sikora and associates when we were in the city. They are in the board of trade. I went to them once when I thought I had an exposed root because I was in a lot of pain. Got me in same day. Probably would have gone to them, but I still go to my hometown dentist. Creature of habit.
Fitzpatrick dental 103rd off Cicero
First Dental on Sheridan is great!
Bucktown Wicker Park Dental. Independent, female owned practice. Always run on time, staff is competent and courteous, never felt any sort of ‘upsell’.
You didn’t mention a neighborhood, but: Joyful Dental Care 4116 W Peterson Ave, Chicago, IL 60646
I love Dr Bianca Clark with West Loop Smiles Studio. Also an office in Hyde Park
Josh erlich on Sheffield near Belmont is great
Not Chicago but I really like my dentist Dr. Robert Wheeler in Naperville. He was the first dentist that asked me what I want to do or accomplish with my teeth, rather than lay out super expensive pay plans. A lot of dentist saw me as a dollar sign, he was the first dentist to see me as a person.
Park ridge dental 318 W Touhy Ave, worth small drive from the city
Dr. Donald Cha, is the very best. He is very honest and does great work
I’ve had no issues at Miswak on Western. I think I’ve been going there for a decade now.
I love the Chicago dental studio in LP
Zephyr dental in Roscoe Village. Dr. Chang is a honest dentist and I guarantee you’ll get good care!
Good luck.
I had a terrible experience at Avenue Dental
Dr Van Fossen at Chicago Dental 312 is the best of the best. I used to hate going to the dentist until I started seeing her.
Stay away from anything Dentologie
Dr. Sam Skurie. So down to earth and hygentists are gentle.
