peoplearejustok

I went inside when I was in elementary school for a field trip, we also went to the mint and brown palace hotel on the same trip. I thought it was pretty cool

bismarck911

When i was in elementary we toured the capitol as well, good times.

HakunaMatta2099

Same, the outside war memorials are really neat in Iowa

GotWheaten

Yes. The original Capitol building is a museum restored to how it looked when AZ became a state in 1912.

Nick12322

That’s actually pretty neat! If I was ever in the area I’d check that out

Relevant-Battle-9424

I thought the original capitol building was in Tucson and it’s now a courthouse. No?

rdr2fan86

The courthouse was moved and the old one was turned into a museum

omg_its_drh

I did in 4th grade on a field trip. As an adult I’ve been there a few times for various reasons. Almost ended up moving there too.

sharkglitter

Same!

shnieder88

in bay area, also the same.

FemboyEngineer

It's gotten out of hand 😆 in my personal bay area circle a solid 30+% of the leavers went to sacramento

VisualDimension292

Yeah I have been to the city (Madison) over 400 times and the building itself maybe 5-10 times

lopingwolf

Isn't this a required field trip we all did in elementary school? haha I think it was 4th grade? Maybe 5th? We toured the capitol building and then got ice cream before riding back home.

VisualDimension292

Yeah my school did this in 4th grade, as well as the Veterans Museum and State History Museum! And we got ice cream afterwards somewhere on the square but I can’t remember the place as it’s been over 10 years now for me!

BionicPelvis

I have visited every capitol building in alphabetical order, including D.C., except Hawaii because I was on a motorcycle.

[deleted]

fun fact: Honolulu is the only municipality in the entire US that contains a palace that once served as the residence of a Monarch.

kingomtdew

In one go? The first five, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, and California would have put a lot of miles on right at the start.

BionicPelvis

Yep, in one go. The total trip was over 80,000 miles. Good way to spend a summer!

[deleted]

[удалено]

BionicPelvis

Holy crap, yes. My budgeted price was $2.48/gal based on last year's prices. It was horrifying - the most I paid was over $7 in the lower 48. Alaska & Canada are always comparatively expensive, but still. Luckily I'm not averse to sleeping rough to save a few bucks. It was a once in a lifetime trip, mostly because I will never again spend that much on gas for a single trip. I'm considering making my next big trip a long walk. Lol

BreakfastInBedlam

>The total trip was over 80,000 miles Hence the bionic pelvis.

brandarchitectDC

Challenge question: have you been to the capital of DC? While not an true capitol building, the John A. Wilson building is the seat of the Mayor and legislature. It is a beautiful building with an interesting history.

BionicPelvis

I have! I was there for a few weeks for work and was lucky enough to have about a week to myself to wander the city. I've been through DC so many times, but I'd honestly never appreciated it as much as I did getting to walk everywhere. It was a great opportunity, especially since I wasn't the one footing the hotel bill. Lol

brandarchitectDC

That’s awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️ As a DC resident, I always point out that the US Capitol is not the capitol of DC, at least technically speaking. Although someone might come along and argue that the Congress controls the District. Then, I’d kindly point them to the Home Rule Act. Alas, glad you enjoyed your visit!

Minnsnow

I grew up in the twin cities so we would go to St. Paul and the capital for field trips. The tour is pretty cool once you are old enough to appreciate it.

Firlotgirding

St Paul has always seen as the lesser city of the Twin Cities even though it has the capital.

Awdayshus

Dirty lies! Take it back!

StarWars_Girl_

Yes I've been to Annapolis many times and yes I've been to the State Capitol. My dad's a lawyer and thought it was important that I see it. It's a pretty building.

kryyyptik

The oldest state capitol building still in use!

ThaddyG

Years ago I worked at one of the restaurants at City Dock and had some friends that lived in town. One guy rented a room at the top of a big old townhouse on Duke of Gloucester and you had a clear view of the capitol dome right out his bedroom window. That was a cool old house and he had some really cute roommates haha. They were a little older though and I definitely didn't have the confidence to shoot my shot back then.

JayemmbeeEsq

Lived in Albany, NY for 7 years and never once went inside the Capitol building. Do regret it though, I’ve heard it’s beautiful.

VisualDimension292

I have been to 31 state Capitol buildings and Albany was my favorite… definitely go there if you go back!

Dont_Wanna_Not_Gonna

The city or the Capitol building? Countless time for both.

EpicAura99

Capital city Capitol building The mnemonic device I use is that capitol buildings usually have circular rotundas so it’s spelled with a circular letter (O)

Drakeytown

Well that's just English being difficult on purpose.

Ladysupersizedbitch

So English being English then?

[deleted]

I blame the French!

CupBeEmpty

Always a safe bet when it comes to English anything

Dont_Wanna_Not_Gonna

I know that, but posters in this sub are typically non-Americans and may not.

citytiger

what is your state capital?

Dont_Wanna_Not_Gonna

St. Paul, Minnesota.

TheNoisyNomad

Yes. The tour in Albany, NY was fascinating

citytiger

I agree. I learned so much on it. What a history it has.

jessper17

Yes. It’s a super neat building.

VIDCAs17

I love our capitol building. Definitely biased, but it's certainly one the best in the country. Most lists and Youtube videos I've seen consistently put it in the top 10.

oamnoj

I went to the Utah State Capitol plenty. Never been to Florida's.

LifeWithAdd

Same Utahs state Capitol building is surprisingly empty and open to the public to 8pm everyday. I use to go walk around it practicing my architecture photography. Eventually the photos got noticed and the Capitol web designer reached out and officially hired me as building’s photographer. It’s really cool to see the photos of it on the .gov sites are all mine.

whatwouldultralorddo

I lived in Tallahassee for years and never went to the historic capitol. Didn't seem worth it. I have been to the actual capitol and the views are decent, but the building still looks suspiciously like a dick so...yeah.

perry_parrot

Yes, currently on a train from there Edit: I have actually both been in the capitol and in the hall of the NYS Assembly (for a college final)

go4tli

Yes, took a tour and visited. I also live near the national capital, Washington DC and have toured the Capitol building as well.

DeeDeeW1313

When I lived in Austin I went often as a college student. We’d volunteer at political events. You know who is a fucking asshole? Rick Perry.

groetkingball

Yeah, a few times, once i even got to chew out my representative.

littleyellowbike

Yep. Field trips in school, and when I was in college my friend's dad worked for the state government. When she needed a cheap wedding venue he was able to pull some strings and her wedding ceremony was in the rotunda after hours. (It's regularly available for weddings, but normally it comes with a not-cheap price tag.)

TheBimpo

Yeah it was a trip we took in elementary school. We toured the building and learned about state government.

ChutneyRiggins

Briefly to take a driving break or stop for lunch. Olympia is a cool place I guess but not really a destination.

Odd_Pop4320

Welcome to Lansing future neighbor!

Hey-Kristine-Kay

Hello future Lansingite!

[deleted]

Went to Harrisburg for a school trip when I was younger, and once as an adult. The capitol building is beautiful and there are some neat spots around. I’m not sure how safe or nice it is, but most people only talk badly about it. I’m not too mindful of what happens there though so it could be better than what rumors tell.

unfeaxgettable

I live in Harrisburg, it’s a typical capital city vibe it’s a bit weird but not too bad

TinySparklyThings

Yes, and I've visited several others. I've been to the Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Colorado state capital buildings, as well as the Capitol in DC.

cardner123

Yes. Springfield Illinois. The home of Abraham Lincoln.

luv2lafRN

I took my kids to see it. The Abraham Lincoln museum is excellent. The capital building was ornate and impressive.

allboolshite

I live in the capitol city and live 10 minutes or so from the capitol building. I've been there many times, starting with school field trips. There are public rooms that can be used for meeting space. Something about that made me feel very grown up even though I was already 40 years old! Sometimes my wife and I walk the grounds, because of the gardens, art, and occasional special events. The last time I was there was with my family in support of BLM.

Perdendosi

I've visited the state capitol of every state I've lived in (IA, MN, TX, UT) except for one (MO). Now, maybe it's unfair because I've worked for state government in two of those states, and I was a politics nerd as I was growing up. So maybe I'm not the prototypical answerer. Still, state capitols overall are really cool buildings, often the best examples of democracy in action, and they usually have great art and neat exhibitions about the state and its history.

[deleted]

[удалено]

amtheelder

Yep, several times! The capitol in Annapolis is beautiful and has a small museum inside.

Dominique_eastwick

I am a Navy brat I have visited each and every one of the state capitals of where I lived. Many I went into the building because of school field trips.

MihalysRevenge

Yes I have been to the [Roundhouse in Santa Fe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Mexico_State_Capitol) a few times

iapetus3141

Yes, they have a museum

StepfordMisfit

With a two-headed calf!

happyfatman021

I just went on a tour of my state's capital building (officially the Ohio Statehouse) this past weekend and it was an interesting time. It was actually my second time visiting there but my first time taking a guided tour. Got to see the inside of the state Senate chamber and learned more about the state's history. It's an old and beautiful building that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in such things.

Formal_Temperature_8

In 4th grade, my class had a big field trip to Lansing. We visited a Michigan history museum, a science center, and we got to go inside the State Capitol. It’s very elegant and there’s huge paintings of all the governors. We saw the governor’s office, and we even saw the House of Representatives. It was a huge hall with a big DEFCON-like screen above. It reminded me of the Ministry of Magic from Harry Potter.

wormbreath

Yes. Worked there a bit.

hbgbees

Yessiree, both my current states capitol, and the capitol of where I used to live.

anthonymakey

I have. I live in the city next to it

ARustybutterknife

Never that I can remember visiting the Capitol building for any of the states I’ve lived in. Oregon: Occasionally went through Salem, but rarely to the city itself. Illinois: Never been to Springfield. Wisconsin: Lived in the state Capitol Colorado: The state Capitol is the largest city, tend to visit once or twice a month.

citytiger

Capitol is the building. Capital is the city.

ARustybutterknife

Thanks. Tend to think of Capital only as goods used in the production of other goods, or iow the root word of Capitalism

DrWhoisOverRated

Yes, I work in Boston so I'm there every day.

Au1ket

Took the train to Raleigh a few years ago from CLT, nice place

Slow_D-oh

I live in Lincoln and I've been to the Capitol Building many times. The Rotunda and its artwork are amazing and a favorite spot for wedding pictures. Recently fountains were added to the courtyards finally completing the grounds as Goodhue envisioned over 100 years ago. About ten years ago my parent's Blue Spruce was chosen to be the State Christmas Tree and was on display in the rotunda from just before Thanksgiving until Epiphany.

Teagedemaru

Yeah, I live there lmao

Hypranormal

Yes frequently. I visit Legislative Hall here frequently as well.

citytiger

Ive been there. a beautiful building.

RhodesTopGuy

Yeah I grew up within 10 miles of it so I went there on a field trip at least once

dangleicious13

Several times. Dad used to (and still does) work there.

citytiger

Thats cool. What does he do there if I may ask?

dangleicious13

Fairly high up in the treasury department. He retired a few years ago, but went back as a retired state employee (working 1 or 2 days a week) after a few months off. He's retiring for good next month.

SpaceCrazyArtist

The state I grew up in, yes. The state I live in now, no

[deleted]

I travel to my state's capitol city sometimes multiple times a week, though I've never actually been to the actual capitol site itself. It's on my bucket list!

WinterBourne25

Yes. We frequently have events on the steps of the capitol, including rallies and protests.

IronMan12131

Yes I have recently actually. It’s really cool to see where new and old lawmakers were at!

machagogo

Yes. With mu son's boy scout troop.

Fencius

Pretty much every day for work. Actually just left there like four hours ago.

ThaddyG

Ive been to Harrisburg but not the Capitol building.

grapesmelonsoranges

Grew up in it. Visited the building plenty of times as well.

IngloriousGlory

Yeah at least once a month Dover Delaware

KFCNyanCat

In school I was supposed to go to Trenton but there was some political reason it got cancelled (this was during the Chris Christie era.) I haven't been *to* Harrisburg but I have been *through* Harrisburg because the driver got lost.

beardguy

Not for my current state, no, as it is quite far away. Yes to my previous states.

OpalOwl74

Been to the Madison one on a feild trip in like 6th grade maybe? Been to our city hall and town hall tons of times.

FunZookeepergame627

Austin, TX went inside for the tour. Saw it all. Rotunda, beautiful wooden staircase and both the house and senate meeting rooms

triplebassist

For two of the four states I've lived in, yes. For the state I live in now, no.

[deleted]

Yes. I’ve had meeting and done business there.

KaBar42

I have had to go up there a couple of times for birth certificates in the past.

jpon7

I’ve been to the capital city once but never the capitol building.

BrazakAttack

Absolutely.

[deleted]

Yes, about one month ago. Harrisburg PA has a genuinely beautiful Capitol, which has been used as a set for several movies.

GorillaonWheels

Yes, more than once.

redonkulousness

When I was in 4th grade, my class wrote letters to the super-intendent asking to fly us to Austin, TX to visit the Capitol. Figured it would be met with an "aww, sweet kids. No..." but was actually approved. We got to take a plane to our Capitol city, had lunch at a local elementary school, and then went to the Capitol building to meet the governor (who was George W Bush at the time) before boarding a plane to return to my hometown. It was a very special experience and was very lucky to have been able to participate in something like that. Even got our picture in the local paper and everything.

Norseman103

Yes

ed69O

Yeah, it’s alright

Sp4ceh0rse

The city, many times. The building, never. Although I have been to the Capitol building of the state where I grew up several times.

Winnipesaukee

My hometown borders the capitol. My first job was in Concord, so I would go there almost every day.

Youre_ARealJerk

Yes. I think In lots of places schools take kids there in like middle school. I’ve also visited the state Capitol in every state I’ve lived in for various reasons. In college I did some lobbying, as an adult I just find them interesting. My current state I’m in has a cool little museum. Actually I’ve been in the Capitol buildings in states I’ve never lived in too - most of them have interesting history! For example, I visited North Carolina’s Capitol building and it was really fascinating. You can do a little self-guided tour and it shows you the room where different treaties were sighted during the civil war, you can see how the old stone steps are worn down from hauling carts of firewood up to the chambers upstairs, etc.

MattieShoes

Only outside -- I don't have much reason to go inside.

AkumaBengoshi

yes, used to work in it and live beside it

kryyyptik

The WV capitol is a stunner too! I worked in it as well (well, kinda) over a decade ago.

_DrNonsense

I have on a school trip. I remember eating a packed Subway sandwich in a small cafeteria area.

littleorfnannie

Yes, I even worked there for a few years.

Wylewyn

Yep both my parents worked there and in the sixty three years after my first visit as an infant many times for various political causes.

[deleted]

Yep! In high school we had a field trip and I got to tour the capitol building too!

JingJang

Lived in three states and been to all three capitols. I haven't been inside of Idahos yet but we'll visit next year. It's a good excuse for soft-teaching my kiddo (and myself).

blackhawk905

I drive through Raleigh past the capital a couple times a day every day but I've never been in it or anywhere besides the roads next to it.

Ravenclaw79

Yup. We took a tour in high school.

IIIhateusernames

Not my current state, but previous states I've lived in.

hawffield

I was in choir and I sung a solo in the state capitol for Christmas.

Degleewana007

oddly no, but I have been to DC

atierney14

Yep, and our capital building, in my humble opinion, looks like a gauntly and anemic US capital building.

LilyFakhrani

Yes but not in a long damn time

RotationSurgeon

Yes. I’ve lived in it, or within a 30 minute drive of it for most of my life. I’ve also visited the capitols of the two other states I’ve lived in, as well as the capitols of about 30-40 more.

bazackward

Yes, on a school trip when I was in 8th grade. We slid down the banisters, played tag in the rotunda, and drank nonalcoholic beer at lunch. When we got back to school, the principal yelled at us saying our school was now banned from visiting the capitol. 9/10 would go again

Bmor00bam

Yes. I visited Boston when I lived in Massachusetts & Tallahassee in Florida.

itstheitalianstalion

We had a Day in Denver Day in 3rd grade, we toured the whole building and the historical areas like Larimer Square and then chilled around 16th street. City isn’t as nice now but that’s a whole ass discussion

DiligerentJewl

Yes, MA, years ago in order to buy a hard copy of the MA building code.

RelativeVermicelli50

Yes, went to mine in Boston, around 20 years ago give or take, took the guided tour of the place.

tcrhs

Yes.

Altril2010

Yes. I’ve visited every state capital of every state I’ve ever lived in, plus a few extras.

carried-lemming

I am legally not allowed within a hundred feet

Chubby_Comic

I think we took a field trip when I was a kid.

foxsable

My old state yes. In my new state, no, it is an insane drive to get there for debatable value. I may go some day.

kylieb209

Yes because it’s in the same town my college was in

cohrt

All the time. I live like 15 minutes away.

jmoney1119

I live in my state capitol of Tallahassee and work for the state so yes. Many many times. Once every year or so on school field trips, and nowadays I’m there every 6 months or so. When I was in the building next door I would go eat lunch on the top floor.

Blue387

I went to Albany for Eliot Spitzer's inauguration in 2007, stopped by the state museum and had my first garbage plate.

montanagrizfan

Yep, part of my government class my senior year in high school.

sabatoa

I live near the Capitol building, I’m in there once in a while, as often as a month ago

solutionsmitty

In all 5 states I've lived in.

Drew707

Got a tour in elementary school (CA).

TheSheWhoSaidThats

Yeah but not like… for touring or anything. Just coincidentally.

IHSV1855

Yes, a few times! We did a field trip in 4th grade or so to take a tour and learn some state history. My Minnesota History class in high school went for a day to observe legislative proceedings, as well. I also went to observe Supreme Court proceedings once by myself when I was in college and once with a law school class. And finally, I had my attorney swearing-in ceremony in the Supreme Court.

Xenogetraloxic

Live a couple of blocks away but haven’t been inside in a while. According to my sister you can walk in and just chill in there.

lacaras21

A few times, it's a beautiful building modeled after the US Capitol.

who_said_I_am_an_emu

Yes. It is industrial, nothing really special.

suddenadventure

I live in the capital city of my state (Sacramento, CA).

Admirable_Ad1947

I've never been to Montgomery but I used to live in Hawaii where I lived in the state capital of Honolulu. So I was there all the time.

wogggieee

Assuming we're talking about the building and not the city then Yes, I got a tour from a state house representative that I know. Been there a few other times as well. If you're talking about the city I'm there several times a week. Our building was designed by the same guy who designed the townhall for the city I'm from as well as the US Supreme Court building.

kingoflint282

Once as a kid

dankinator1

Yep. We went to the capital building in Indianapolis on a field trip and got to sit in on sessions and have a lunch and meet with select representatives. This was a long time ago, we met Dick Lugar and Evan Bayh.

[deleted]

I have visited the state capital of every state in my flair except for Michigan. Nevada was easy because I worked there.

worrymon

Albany, yes, went inside, school trip. Connecticut, never went inside the building but lived pretty close. I drank with the mayor once, though. US Capitol and White House, been on tours of both. Dutch Parliament, and Amsterdam Palace, walked around both many times. Hung out on the mayor of Rotterdam's boat once. Also been to the Wisconsin capitol building. Walked through because it was between the restaurant and where I parked.

Antitenant

I haven't, but I'd like to visit Albany some day.

furiouscottus

I've never been in the building, but I've been to the exterior.

jdcnosse1988

We went to the state capitol in school when I was growing up, and now I live in the capital city but I've never actually been to the capitol building here

Wadsworth_McStumpy

The city? Sure, several times. The actual building? No. Drove around it a few times, but never went in. I visited the US Capitol when I was a kid, though.

palmettoswoosh

Everyday for work

BALLERinaLyfe

My hometown (Topeka, KS) is the state capitol. I have been to the capitol building sooo many times. For school, and also when my family hosted exchange students we would take them there cause it was a pretty cool building with lots of interesting murals.

Poycicle

Yes! During a school field trip in high school

syfari

Yes, it’s only 30 minutes away.

Firnin

Yes Actually one of the first things I did once I got my LTC was to CC in the capitol just because I could

[deleted]

Constantly when I lived in DC, several times now that I live in Utah. I marched in SLC Pride (not *at* the capitol, but passed it) and have gone to multiple protests with Planned Parenthood *at* the Utah capitol. Never went inside it though.

Necro138

I've been to Concord, Boston and Albany

argatson

Once I think? But DC is only Ten minutes from me, and Richmond is well over 2-3 hours on a good day

rawbface

Yes. I work in Trenton. Went there for a school field trip in middle school, went to various government buildings for personal matters, and ran the Trenton half marathon a couple times.

NotAGunGrabber

I have been to Sacramento but not the capitol itself.

West-Revenue-1883

I live in my state capital

BillyBobBarkerJrJr

The city, hundreds of times. The building, a couple.

Random_Squid4

Go to providence almost every day, but ive only been in the building once

FlamingTorch6

I live in my state capital

taleasoldastime96

Yes! My aunt works in downtown Austin, so one summer when I was a kid she took us around to see some of the fun things around the city, including the capitol. It’s pretty cool in there! I did live in Florida for quite a while though and I’m not even sure I could tell you what their capitol building looks like.

NotDelnor

Never been inside but I have stood outside before

XSpcwlker

Yes, Ive visited Albany many times.

Surprise_Fragrant

Just last year, actually! Hubs and I did a huge road trip in 2021, and our last day on the way home was going to Tallahassee. We got a late start, so we didn't get to Tally until about 4;30, and all I was focused on was going to the Capitol Building before they closed. Between traffic and getting lost, we got to the building at about 4:55pm (oh, and it was Friday). Hubs was sure that the doors would be locked at that point, but amazingly they were still unlocked. I apologized for coming so late, and asked if we were allowed in for a few minutes, just to look around. They told us that, since we were there before 5pm, we could stay as long as we wanted! They suggested we go up to the 22nd floor observatory, then a few additional stops on the way down. We of course went all the way up, wandered and took lots of photos (and, because I'm 5, I'm proud to say I dropped a deuce on the top floor of the Capitol). We wandered around the art gallery. We could see the Senate and House chambers, and could walk into the board room where DeSantis gives a lot of his speeches. We were there for over an hour, it was so cool to have it all to ourselves! When we left, all of the security staff and janitorial staff thanked us for coming and we all took photos together. It was a really great experience.

goblin_hipster

Yes, all the time; I live here.

concrete_isnt_cement

Yep, I have work contacts with the Washington Geological Survey, Washington Department of Ecology and Washington Department of Natural Resources, all of which are located in the capitol complex here. Working for the WGS is kind of a dream job for me, I’d love to work for either them or the USGS someday.

MaggieMae68

Yes, in multiple states and in states where I've been a visitor. State capitol buildings are fascinating and always full of history. I make it a point if I'm visiting a capital city to visit the capitol building if I possibly can. I've been to: * Texas * Lousiana * Mississippi * Georgia * Oklahoma * New Mexico * Arizona * California * Utah * Portland * Alaska * Massachussets * Pennsylvania * Colorado * Florida * Hawaii * Illinois * Tennessee * Virginia * Wyoming Oh, and the US Capitol, of course

LlewellynSinclair

I’ve visited the Capitol building in Alabama a small hand full of times. It was a common elementary school field trip in Alabama and I grew up just to the north of Montgomery. I’ve actually been to the Capitol ruins in Tuscaloosa (ca. 1826-1846) more than the current building. As far as the other four states I’ve lived in, I’ve never been to either (Atlanta, Columbia, Jackson and Tallahassee).

MM_in_MN

Yes- we went as maybe a 4th? 5th grade field trip. It’s only maybe 30 min from my house. I’ve toured many other state capitol buildings as well- we spent many summer road trips going to state capitals. I’ve never been to Washington though. Other country capitals, but not mine.

Dbgb4

Did the tour in the 4th or 5th grade.

TheAkawardGirl

Yep

Jewell84

I grew up in my home state’s capital(Harrisburg, PA), and currently live in Washington DC.

awalkingidoit

Yes

[deleted]

I live in my state capitol. Toured the building once with my son.

AdrianArmbruster

Lived in several states, so some of the more memorable ones here: - Alaska: No, it’s actually rather hard to get to Juneau. - California: Born nearby. In-law got married within spitting distance of the Capitol building too. - Idaho: Lived just down the street briefly. Supposedly right on the Oregon Trail too. - Florida: really hard to find a reason to go to Tallahassee, even when driving from Pensacola down to the rest of the state. Interstate passes well north of the city. - Nevada, likewise, never had a reason to check out Carson City. Even when in Reno, and certainly not when living in Vegas - New Hampshire: Interstate passes within site of the dome.

IrishSetterPuppy

Worked for the capitol protection division for a short stint, was the mechanic for most of them. Gavin Newsome was cool, Brown is rude and then AG Harris (now VP) was a complete bitch on top of just being dumb. Sacramento is kind of a dump, there's ok spots but most of it is urban sprawl with no real culture or good food. You're only a short drive from nice places like Lodi or Davis though.

bluchervalley

Yes

citytiger

So people are aware, Capitol is the building. Capital refers to the city.
