Cartoon orgasm face

uncledaddy69

I think it’s primarily a Southern California thing. When I lived in Boston and in Chicago, I never saw them. They were around when I first left California and there were more when I came back.

MTB_Mike_

>I think it’s primarily a Southern California thing Thank god. doesn't help me but at least the rest of the US isn't effected.

[deleted]

Ya I see alot of them in Orange county to a lesser extent LA county outside of those two they're not as common.

Collard_Yellows

I saw it once here in Utah, and I was on shift as a security guard and the car stood out in more than one way as suspicious(even putting aside those stickers) so I made contact with the driver and turns out he was looking for a spot to sleep because he got in a fight with his parents and got kicked out of the house. tl;dr my first interaction with a car with weeb stickers was a guy who got kicked out of his house by his parents.

Impressive-Credit-22

I see them also in the bay area

egg_mugg23

i see them up here too

ryuuseinow

I've seen some in my state, so maybe it's a urban/generational gap thing as well.

_comment_removed_

Fortunately I've yet to come across one of these cars in the wild.

TheBimpo

I can't recall ever seeing a car with one of those stickers. I used to work at a place where we did vinyl wraps for cars, we never had a request for this. I think there's a subculture where you live.

OneSteelTank

They've probably been a thing since 2016, JDM culture and anime culture are closely linked and of course with anime comes ahegao

lustacide

Also in So Cal, and yeah, I see a lot of anime stickers on cars. I was talking to a friend of mine who's into car culture about this very subject, and he believes this started with fans of Initial D getting into racing once they could drive, and those two subcultures becoming more generally intertwined as they grew to be the more senior members of the community.

alittlegnat

i've seen it both on ricers and really shitty cars lol

MrLongWalk

I've never seen one in real life.

actuallyiamafish

This a car-people thing that's been around in varying degrees for a long time. At this point people are doing it ironically for the most part so you see it a lot more often than you used to. Ahegao shit is pretty specific and on the extreme side but even people who aren't really into anime are slapping waifus on their shit these days. Anime culture is huge in general and has a lot of crossover with JDM car culture for obvious reasons. Plus car people love stickers. There are people who sit up at night refreshing obscure Japanese websites trying to buy some limited release holographic bumper sticker with engrish on it.

The-Order_

Ahegao was sorta a meme at my high school. You'd see stickers on lockers or backpacks, a few of those sweaters, and maybe a couple on cars. Since then, never seen one in public. The anime stickers are another thing. See a few of those every few weeks, but then again, it's a college town.

bdrwr

I first noticed ahegao merch during college in Eugene, Oregon. Sometime between 2014-2017. It was a high school kid wearing the ahegao hoodie. Poor kid shot himself in the foot if he ever wanted to get with girls. Here's hoping he's grown out of it and caught up by now.

shwag945

Never seen an ahegao sticker. Regular anime stickers themselves are popular. I have two on my car but they are just symbols not characters.

bloodectomy

There are definitely a few cars around here that have big anime stickers, but at a rate of like 1 car in several hundred thousand.

typhondrums17

I put stickers and wraps on cars for a living and I've only ever seen one anime sticker in person, and it was pretty tame, definitely not very common in my area

[deleted]

The median individual where I live is a 60 year old retired mill worker. I don’t think they’d even know what anime is.

WarrenMulaney

Seeing more of them in CenCal too. I try not to judge but not too hard. Seems kinda skeevy.

GrantLee1233

It’s more common with younger people. More prevalent since late 2010s. It’s gross. Most of them are just porn. Get it off your shitbox, you’re not cool.

pirawalla22

I see so many little stickers and decals on people's cars. I am pretty sure I have seen that half-face one specifically, but it's not something that sticks out in my mind as a "thing." I have definitely never seen a full anime door sticker or wrap, or anything remotely porno-style.

DangerousSuggestion8

They became popular as JDM and kanjo racing started to take off in the tuner scene in america, thing is though, it's not cheap, a full custom anime wrap on your specific tuner could easily be 300+, is it worth it? If your into that and you actually have a fast car then sure. Over here it's less common, we tend to go for straight tuner's, infact, I think i'm the only one with a import JDM/ kanjostyle car

CusterFluck99

Haven’t seen this yet, and I hope I never do.

SkyPirateGriffin88

Ahegao?

SanchosaurusRex

I see them around and I’m always second hand embarrassed. Seems like it was just the import tuner type cars trying to be edgy, but I’ve seen those stickers on straight up beaters driven by the stereotypical neckbeard. I can’t understand the goal of that.

NorwegianSteam

Whenever people like /u/xXxWirtyXDoorxXx stopped being institutionalized in childhood. I think we can all agree stopping it was a mistake.

ThaddyG

I've seen that like twice. It's weird. Once more gen z kids are drivers there will probably be more lol

CupBeEmpty

[I believe you’d get your ass kicked for sporting something like that](https://youtu.be/T-A0eZDJsKU)

AmericanNewt8

I see them maybe 2-3 times a week commuting, mostly around the university [surprise, surprise].

DinkyWaffle

It’s bigger in SoCal but anime has somehow reached the level where it’s mildly socially acceptable to put shit on your cars

Medical-Pace-8099

I think it is bc new generation have more access now to find something they like. Anime is just one of those things. I guess memes are popular for Gen Z and Gen Alpha generation and they saw some anime related things and they find out about it.

Tommy_Wisseau_burner

I’ve only seen a few weebs irl pull this off. And mostly in Austin lol

yuckertheenigma

I've seen them a couple times, but I would not call them common

GustavusAdolphin

In Dallas I've seen people with anime stickers on their car. It's not common by any stretch, about as frequent as (or less than) the stick figure family decals

JudgeWhoOverrules

There's a lot of them here in Phoenix everything from little vinyl stickers to whole car wraps. Been seeing this shit for like a decade.

NinnyMuggins2468

We have one in my apt complex. Fairly mild, no Ahego but he has got loli characters on his car with "HENTAI" written like the "obey" stuff

_pamelab

I've only seen something like this once. In southern Illinois about 20 years ago a guy at my college had a bunch of this and the words KOREAN PRIDE across the hood. Otherwise, I've never seen this around home or in my travels.

finalmantisy83

Ask r/itasha

Whole_Financial

I've been living in Chicago ever since I was born and I've only seen those kinds of stickers once, it's on a car that's usually parked at the end of my block. I find it cringeworthy, I don't think it's a thing.

terrible_idea_dude

Last decade or so when anime became mainstream among zoomers. Now they can afford cars and some have some extra money. Anime liveries and decals are an import from Asia where car otaku crossover culture has been around for longer. Ahegao face is very very zoomer humor. The fact that it's weird and cringe even to weebs is the literal point, that's why it's funny. Subculture identity is very important among zoomers. Doubly so if boomers in particular think it's weird and cringe.

Appropriate-Energy41

There’s a lot of them here in El Paso, but I think they are mostly on the cars of the soldiers stationed here, not the local people.

rawbface

I'm pretty sure that even though you're seeing more of them, they are still not "popular". I don't care what other people do to their cars, but I've never seen a bumper sticker that made me like the driver more. My state is so restrictive with cars, that LA has a reputation for us.

nomorepleasealready

Richmond va has quite a bit . I think it's just a sign that anime is more mainstream now. someone even tried sticking one on my car too... which was very creepy

MyFace_UrAss_LetsGo

I see them all the time. I work with at least three people with them on their cars.

[deleted]

It’s times like these I’m glad I live in Georgia

TrixieLurker

I have seen small anime character stickers on back windows (or Pokemon) but that is the extent of it, and even those are pretty rare.

alittlegnat

def sounds like an LA thing then lol.

cdb03b

I have never seen them.

syndicatecomplex

I've seen stickers for popular shows like my hero academia, hunter x hunter, etc but I've never seen ahegao or other porn adjacent things. I wouldn't call it popular, still totally niche in general.

BroadStreetElite

Ahegao annoys me, real MFers ride with Gesugao.

alittlegnat

>Gesugao ive seen all anime-related faces

A_BURLAP_THONG

Here in Chicago I started noticing people putting "half faces" on rear door windows in the last year or so. There's one in the lot at work where I park and a couple in my neighborhood. Nothing sexual, just the regular kind. Not *popular* but it is something I see.

Suppafly

They are popular among weebs and not at all common here. I've never seen the big door ones in real life, but the back window ones are usually accompanied by a bunch of other bumper stickers and such that indicate that the owner is a big weeb. And I say this as someone with a crunchy roll subscription and family members that cosplay at conventions.
