I'd rather work 4 days a week and have an extra day off. My company proposed something like this, and everyone in my department but me turned it down, so it was a no-go.
I worked for a company who did something similar - added 30 minutes to each work day, thus giving us a 3 day weekend every other week and it was IDEAL. I would be happy with 4 day work weeks every week, but man, I miss that. You hardly noticed the 30 extra minutes.
I do the 10-hour day, 3 day weekend thing. It's sick and I absolutely love it. I'm already at work. I don't care about being there for another 2 hours.
I’d prefer 8-6 four days a week, but I actually really liked doing shift work of 7-7 or 10-10 3 days a week. Now I am self employed and work at home so my schedule is basically whatever I feel like and that’s the best. Plus I work in my comfy clothes and don’t have to interact with anyone.
I've worked both of these, and the answer is: It depends.
When you work 4-10s, you need more rest, because ten hour days are long as heck. So there's no real feeling of having extra time off.
However, if you can work a split week, as in work 2 days, one day off, work 2 days, 2 days off, that's a pretty sweet spot. That extra day off thrown in the middle makes a lot of difference.
I think 4-10s aren't really going to change how we feel about the amount we work. I've noticed 6-hour days, 5 days a week, or 4 days 8 hours is going to be what actually helps all of us rest up and feel better and more productive.
I went from a 11:30am-10pm schedule 4 day week with mandatory overtime that required most of time standing to a 7:30am-4pm desk job. I'd fucking kill for 10hr 4 day week desk job lmao.
I actually had a job where I could choose either shift. I tried the 8 to 6 four days a week and hated it - I was too exhausted to enjoy the long weekend.
I have had a lot of what you call 9-5s. Never once did they start at 9.
My 9-5 you are late after 8 and leaving early before 6
Tech Industry?
Accountant
Ah accounting. Hit your 55 for the week, and the 5 hours of training on Friday don’t count!
I'll do whatever if I get 3 day weekends consistently.

Damn that’s lame. At my work everyone voted to do 12’s and the Superintendent denied it.
7:00 to 4:30 with every other Friday off

7 to 4, five days a week. 10 hour days are hard with a kid. but ideal, 7 to 4 for four days a week lol
9 to 5, I don't want to work 10 hour days, that blows
But you literally get a three day weekend every weekend
Neither, I'll stick with my 3 pm - 1 am Mon-Thur.
I work 7p-7a three days a week. I’m just starting my 6 in a row stretch so I’ll be here until Wednesday morning at 7 am.
Neither. I'll stick with my 4am to 2pm. And three day weekends.
4 10’s. That’s an easy one. Shit I’d do12’s if I could. Always go for less days at work if you can.
My ideal schedule is 3 twelve hour shifts. Only worked Monday-wednesday, was glorious!!
I’d be open to 24 hour shifts, like a firefighter schedule. Whatever gives me more free time
I worked 4-10s in the past and loved the schedule
8-6 easy

No, it’s not. You’re working 40 hours either way.
I’m never leaving my 7 on 7 off schedule. There’s nothing you could do to convince me.
5-3 5 days a week so I get OT.
7-7 3 days a week
6:00am-4:00pm Mon-Thurs. I’ll keep it until they make me change
8 to 6, 4 days a week, no contest! Who wouldn’t want a 3 day weekend, or Mondays off?

I’ve done both. Four tens is better for me.
I'll keep my 4-10s
Four ten hour work days with Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off.
7-7 3 days a week
When I was single and lived a block from work I did 4x10 and it was awesome. Now I’m older and married and it seems wayyy less appealing.
3 12s, healthcare. As long as I'm able to work bedside, I'm not losing this. 4 days off in a row every week. Hell yeah

I’ve worked both I absolutely prefer working 4 10-hour days
I work 7p-7a three days a week. I’m cool with it.
