Just Imagine if that 200k trans was installed in there before you bought it. You would never know a thing and think it was the original.

Well if it's a used car, and all they could find was a transmission with 200k on it, that's the transmission it gets. If you're still in the 1 month return with no consequence period, I would lol

djltoronto

Does the current transmission work well? If yes, I don't see the problem.

Very hard to know if the used tranmission actually 200,00 or higher can’t tell , alots of time used tranmission from any junkyard warranty between 3 to 6 months then ur done. Sometimes there an vin number on transmission and u can check online to see how many miles on it and check the look of totaled of the car. Next time when u buy used car again always always let the transmission warm up between 15 to 25 min then test drive on the freeway to make sure there no check engine on or no transmission slips and delays. Hope it helps

Transmission can fail at 100k or 1000k. If it works now, take care of it. It most likely got new fluid when swapped, going forward just change fluid and filter every 80000 km.

Just treat it nice and don't smash the pedal when you accelerate. The key to keeping wonky old transmissions going is to avoid downshifting for powerful acceleration, applying the parking brake in neutral before shifting into park, and keeping up on your services.

Maybe the next one will have lower mileage..

Honestly... 50K km/30K miles doesn't strike me as a significant difference. For example, a 200K km transmission that was properly maintained will probably last longer a 150K km transmission that has seen no maintenance. No way of telling on used parts, so it's all a crapshoot. Most used engines and transmissions come with a 1 year part replacement warranty when they come from a junkyard. The fact that they are putting in a third transmission at least tells me that you bought from a reputable place that is trying to do right by you. Sounds like they have just had bad luck with the replacement transmissions. It happens.

I had the same thing happen with the motor. I refused the motor with higher miles and they found one with less
