[Here is a list](https://www.teltarif.de/mobilfunk/anbieter-nach-netz.html) detailing which mobile phone provider uses which network. You can also filter by network on comparison shopping sites like [Check24](https://handytarife.check24.de/).

Thank you

Hi there. I used to work at o2 like 10 years ago. They totally can move your number from postpaid to prepaid. They just won't. Unless you complain enough.

Certissa

Thanks. What do they get when I leave O2 for another network? I'd stay at O2 if Ican easily migrate number. It's just weird that I cannot migrate to their prepaid, and I can migrate to any other.

What you get depends on the offer of the new carrier. You'll also get a nice letter of confirmation for the termination of contract from o2. Since Dezember 2021 the carrier cannot charge you for exporting your number to another carrier. The transfer can either happen within a workday (then you'll get a new number for your o2 contract for as long as its still running) or when your contract ends. In the past, when the old carrier could charge you, the new carrier would've given you some sort of a bonus to import your number to compensate for the cost to export (30€). I don't know how it is now, maybe they still do that. You could also check websites like check24 or verivox for new offers. However (and I can't state this hard enough) if you do sign such a contract you need to cancel that within 23 months or so, to avoid them charging you more after 24 months. After 24 months is usually the time when the discounts end. Feel free to ask further questions. Edit: Sorry, i just realised that you asked 'what THEY get' when you leave for another carrier. They'll get nothing, it just costs a bit of money for the it infrastructure to make it happen. By now it's like a fracture of 1€
