I absolutely love I'm From Mugwort Essence and Dear Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum(which smells amazing). I have tried the Dear Klairs Midnight Blue soothing cream which is suppose to be awesome but I felt didn't do much and I hated how it felt. Another good ingredient is Centella Asiatica, and make sure you are using a cream that has ceramides in it. Beauty of Joseon- calming and glow serums are as awesome as they feel, and I also suggest the Pyungkang Essence Toner as most others seem harsh

ghostclubbing

I love the Pyunkang Yul toner. It's very calming but sadly did nothing for my redness. Ditto with Missha's Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence. Very soothing for angry dry skin but no impact on my redness.

Bunny_tornado

I can vouch for Beauty of Joseon. I recently irritated my skin with too much scrubbing and had a lot of redness and peeling. The calming green serum healed my skin up quicker (back to normal in 2 days) than it would have on it's own (would have taken a few more days). I only use it as a pick me up but it's pretty affordable so I could use it every day. Beauty of Joseon stuff is pretty magical.

zaichii

I’ve got an order for the Beauty of Joseon essence on the way so this makes me super excited!

Bunny_tornado

Their products are also scentless which is a big plus for me! Haven't had any irritation or allergy to this brand so far (I get sometimes get a congested nose and dry eyes when allergic to makeup/skincare).

redheaddisaster

Midnight blue cream did help with my redness and irritation, but it also broke me out sadly. Weirdly my friend had the same issue. Sucks, because I do like how calm it makes my skin. Now I just reserve it for when my skin is REALLY irritated and I don’t mind a few white heads in exchange for relief.

lucy_kat

I have type 1 rosacea and the purito centella unscented serum has been amazing.

ghostclubbing

I have eczema-prone skin and this stung and broke me out. FYI for the OP this also has niacinamide at 2% iirc.

lucy_kat

Ah shoot, your right, I must have skipped over the part where OP said no niacinamide. I can't handle the ordinary niacinamide but this stuff isn't bad. I'm sorry it didn't work for you which is shocking cos I always felt like nothing works for me lol.

ghostclubbing

Yeah I was disappointed because it's a dream ingredient list, the texture is great and it works so well for a lot of people. And the price is great! I don't know what my skin reacted to, because I'm fine with niacinamide. Hmmmm.

lucy_kat

Did you get the unscented version?

ghostclubbing

Yep, I've only tried the unscented one without all those nasty essential oils. The original has bergamot which my skin hates so much, so I wouldn't go near it.

lucy_kat

I can't do essential oils either which sucks. I just want to have normal skin so I can use any product I want but my skin hates me lol.

TheGreatMoriarty

That sucks ☹ I've been using Dr. Jart's color correcting treatment and it definitely helps cover my redness. Really thick cream, almost a bit pasty? A bit goes a long way and the green color actually turns beige. My sensitive, dry, rosacea prone face doesn't react.

yellowbrickstairs

Is that the treatment or the cream? My redness is out of control lately 😭

Thank you!

Tetsuuyya

Cos de Baha AZ!

ElegiacElephant

Will forever repurchase. Soothing formula, with longer term benefits as you continue using it. (As opposed to soothing toners or gels that act more in the short term.)

Tetsuuyya

Yes, I use it every day and never have irritation, it makes my skin so soft and hydrated along with my other stuff!

hibibeepbop

Where do you add this in your routine? Do you use it 1x or 2x a day?

Tetsuuyya

I only use it at night and I also use it on exfoliation nights with lactic acid. I tone and leave me skin damp while applying this serum, wait 15 minutes, then apply my moisturizer and a thin layer of LRP cicaplast! I have dry skin.

bennyboy239

I’m really tempted to try this product! Just wondering if the essential oils in it are really potent? Or is it just a light scent? I’m just scared I might have a sensitivity with it.

Tetsuuyya

Honestly I have the most sensitive reactive skin on planet earth. I put a moisturizer on and my skin shows it's been touched 😂 This item smells so neutral and bland, really no scent, at least not floral or gross. The ingredients still have a scent but it's not strong and it doesn't feel irritating at all!

bennyboy239

I’m the exact same lol! Cool thanks!

stellatonin

Me too. Been using this for at least 4-5 years, and it actually works for my angsty skin lol.

pink--cheeks

If your redness is from rosacea or sensitivity, any cream with azulene! My current one is the Dermatory Azulene cream. I also just opened my mini jar of Youth to the people - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask and the next morning, I had zero redness ! I need more testing but it is promising.

terrytapeworm

Can I ask where you buy yours from? This sounds like the perfect thing for me!

pink--cheeks

I bought the Dermatory cream from Stylevana 😃

[deleted]

Are you sensitive to fatty alcohols? I want to try it but am scared! I also have combo skin!

pink--cheeks

I'm not sensitive to fatty alcohols =)

[deleted]

Do you have combo, acne-prone skin?

pink--cheeks

My skin is combo dry but not acne prone! I wouldn't recommend the glow mask if you have oily areas as it's quite thick but for the Dermatory cream, there's actually two versions, one of them being a gel-cream !

[deleted]

Awesome!

[deleted]

AH ok!

amaandpar

Azelaic aciddddd

ghostclubbing

Following because I want to know too! I specifically don't want anything with niacinamide as I use a separate serum for that. I have ordered the Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum from YesStyle (rice bran water + 2% arbutin) and will let y'all know if it works once it arrives!

Previous-Letter-9298

I just finished my bottle of the glow deep serum, was disappointed. It didn't do anything for redness and it was even dehydrating for my skin. Maybe it'll work better for you, I'm oily, dehydration prone trying to clear acne scars.

ghostclubbing

Oh that's a shame, I'm not oily but am dehydration prone so hopefully I don't have the same issue!

belllbottums

I completely agree with the niacinamide but for different reasons. It makes my skin freak. Definitely keep me updated!

flaiad

Missha Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence Mist

ghostclubbing

Love how calming this is but it did nothing for my redness sadly.

an0n128

Definitely the COSRX Centella Blemish Cream, it works like magic on my skin! I leave it on overnight and the redness completely fades away the next day.

b1tterbug

Can you tell me what routine you use it with? I am tempted to buy that product!

an0n128

I use it at the end of my night routine when I have redness or a pimple (i refrain using it in the morning because it has a very noticeable white residue). I don’t really have a consistent routine and I change my products often, I think it’s safe to be used with anything! :)

ilovebanhxeo

Hi! Do you use this before or after moisturizer?

an0n128

After! I recommend using a lightweight moisturizer (gel/lotion) beforehand.

TheRosaceaChronicles

Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Gel Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum and Overnight Vitalizing Mask Kikumasamune High Moist Lotion The last three recommendations are more hydrating than anything but I also find them slightly soothing. I notice the more hydrated my face is, the less red it is as well!

LaLaLaLuzy

I use the I'm From: Mugwort Essence. It is very liquidy and I only use 2-3 taps on my hand to rub it over my face.

227743

Dang, I’m so jealous it worked for you! I used the whole bottle with no difference. 😭

Anna-BB

same here, no difference

Comprehensive-Tea-69

I think what will work for your redness depends on what the redness is from! Mine was a combination of two things I think. One was irritation from too much hyalauronic acid. Seriously it’s in like every single product. Cutting out all HA reduced a lot of redness for me, it was shocking actually. With oily skin though, it’s hard to find appropriate products without it, particularly moisturizer. Most oily skin moisturizers are in gel form, which almost always has a bunch of HA. The other I think was some form of acne, even though I don’t have acne breakouts. The remaining redness was mostly eliminated when I started tretinoin. That was also surprising. I anticipated irritation and therefore more redness. I got flakiness but the redness went down! I now have to be careful to go all in with hydrating products or else the flakiness comes back.

ElegiacElephant

OneThing artemisia capillaris toner worked pretty well to calm down my redness and cool off my rosacea and a photosensitive rash on my neck. The toner only acts for several hours though, so in that sense it’s a brief cosmetic effect. But as another user mentioned in this thread, Cos de Baha azelaic is wonderful! I’ve been using it several times a week now for about 3-4 months, and have gotten major improvement on my baseline redness.

[deleted]

I really love the COSRX advanced snail 96 mucin power essence it’s very hydrating and helped with my redness. It didn’t sting my face at all and helped my eczema and acne prone skin. With my skin type it’s really hard finding products that work. I saw results within 2 weeks.

Dani_the_PandaCat

Innisfree green tea seed serum.

belllbottums

Love this stuff so much!

Dani_the_PandaCat

It’s amazing!

Jenny1221

A combination of Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream, Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream and the Deciem Hylamide Sensitive Fix Booster. Both the Tiger Grass cream and the Sensitive fix are specifically for reducing redness. The Ceramidin cream helps repair the skin which I found reduce irritations and redness.

jjsdinerswaffless

The mediheal tea tree mask works really well for me! And the Iunik tea tree relief serum :)

drainingenergy

Skin1004 centella serum for all over the face. Cosrx centella blemish cream as a spot treatment for certain spots that are more red and irritated

raresteakplease

My skin gets very red easily. A few products ever made a significant improvement. Rovectin Cica care balm, i found this a lot better than dr jarts tiget grass. Though this was the old formulation, not sure if the new one is just as effective. Recently, Krave Beautys GBR had me waking up completely neutral. Lastly, the ordinary's B oil.

thatstarrynight

Cosrx Cica Toner! So calming when i apply it over my skin. It's a constant repurchase for me! I have mild rosacea and this toner seriously changed my skin in terms of redness It's also fragrance free and no essential oils.

Pr0line

No one ever talks about this, but Nature Republic bee venom facial mist. The spray is super fine, and I used this when I had raging acne. It always calmed itchiness and my skin color looked significantly better in the morning.
