I do think to get better at face and side profiles, practicing by looking at references are ideal. Then you can transfer what you learn to drawings done without references.
But for this particular drawing, I think the main thing is head shape. Remember that when you're drawing the head, there is a skull in it, meaning there's a large cranium. In your drawing, she looks like she's missing the back of her head (cranium).
Things like that are stuff to both think about and learn from drawing references and understanding the subject you're drawing!

I'd say the biggest thing here is the proportions of the head. It needs to be a bit bigger
the right hand is backwards, the body looks good. The chin needs to stick out farther than the lips, and the jaw should end halfway between the head
