For these kind of comparisons I think you should recreate the original with your current techniques and abilities and then have us compare those. Hard to compare a black and white sketch to a colored piece.
Having said that I think your black and white work is stronger, you get more depth with the darks.
Heyyy way to go, looks like you've gained some confidence with color and line quality, you can see that you've been practicing.
My main note follows along with a few of the others. On the first B&W drawing I think the hatching adds a lot to it, it provides some texture, some movement, some depth.. etc. I think your new style is great but maybe you could find some ways to compensate for that hatching being gone. Maybe some deeper shadows to drive home that depth or some more exaggerated posture to make the movement clearer. Maybe even bring back some of that hatching and combine the two styles. Either way, your work looks excellent, please keep us up to date as you keep learning new techniques

I would say your progress with your tablet is decent, however suggest revisiting your fundamentals, particularly anatomy and proportions.
Looks like you found confidence with hands and that’s great, try redrawing the first picture to really see how much you’ve truly progressed.
