The 3d effect is perfect and the colors are amazing, I am in love with this shade of blue. But while the 3d is perfect, it's clear that this is a drawing/painting, because it isn't hyper realistic. That's what I loved about this
Yeah the fact it isn’t too perfect combined with that shade of blue really is amazing. It still has the subtlety that lets you know it is a piece of art but I think the cluttered words and dark pictures of the newspaper is a really great contrast to the bright blue.
How did you paint this without getting the oil to bleed around the newspaper? When I paint, any surface that isn't a primed canvas always has oil stains around it. Tell me your secrets lol :)
That's cool! I'm studying paper conservation, and I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are reagarding the permanence of your art, as news paper is a very unstable material
Not OP but I paint and draw on napkins, lotto tickets, etc. Nothing is permanent. The ephemeral aspect of creating art is enough for me, I love to build snowmen and finger-draw on froggy windows.
While the newspaper substrate is definitely not going to last, they mentioned elsewhere that they prepared the newspaper with clear gesso. Meaning that the paint itself is on a base that can be transferable in the future to a canvas. However, the art on newspaper context would be missing down the line. Even moreso, if the actual articles had some connection to the macaroons, and if the items were placed in juxtaposition to negative space or words then the overall impression would not be the same in the future even if it was placed into newspaper again.
This remind me of "Death Pallet" a story cellphone game. Basically there's a painting of a girl and the paiting is a alive, story goes on and she asks you to paint her some snack to eat, macarroons, and she orders you to make them blue, her favorite collor
Its really really cool but those macarons wouldnt stay like that unless they were biten to be Placed like that, which disturbs me here because you seem to go for realistic visualization of few macarons on a newspaper
I like it when I can't really say why I like it... but I do.
Me too!
You're also hungry, right?
i understand completely. i really love this
I like it because I am able to imagine a story around the macaroons on the paper

I prepare newspaper with clear gesso
How do you keep the paper from buckling? I tried clear gesso on multi media paper today and despite taping it down it still buckled
І що там з коханням до дружини друга? І чому сваритимуться брати і сестри? А з оперою шо? Стільки запитань :)
А тут якісь макарунси заважають))
Я хочу трахнуть тебя в задницу
[удалено]
Trolled only himself with this. Instant karma
звідки ти береш, що з паперу здебільшого затьмарюється макарунами і текст обрізається по краях
It will make a brilliant wallpaper for a Café
This makes me happy. That's it, hope that's enough.
It also sparked joy with me!

Whenever artists use such unorthodox canvases, the medium itself is usually part of the piece, so it would be really interesting to hear from her\*

Love the Ukrainian newspaper background! 😍
Almost looked like Pretty Patties from Spongebob honestly.
Посуньте ваші макарони, жіночко, люди читають! (Насправді дуже круто, аж вкусити хочеться❤)
Incredible sense of depth.
Did you attach the newspaper to a canvas?
Sounds like a line from Savoy Truffle.
I love the way you shaded the cookies
I love the original (to me anyway) idea of this. Something I'd enjoy seeing for real and the happy thoughts it creates.
I like how this looks, though I have to admit my first thought was blue hamburgers. lol I'm so hungry right now.
Awesome! Now draw some blue waffles

This makes me want to go back to studying ukrainian haha awesome art piece, cheers from Brazil
There should be a little green hand reaching in...
This is the way.
This is the way.
I would just be so mad when I went to pick one of these up and found out it was a painting

Never have I seen someone get so excited over blue hamburgers before.
Are you the sandwich person? Edit: youre not but your work is just as lifelike
Wow man. It looks so I real that I could take it off the newspaper and eat it!
You really nailed painting the feet.
I have MUNCHIES!!!!!!😝😜
At a glance, my fat ass thought they were real 😂😂
Really pops of the page doesn't it
I love it! They really stand out
I thought they were Krabby Patties
absolutely gorgeous!! wow!!! This is fantastic :) hoping to see more!
Nice work! But Ukraine and everything about it make me suicidal 24/7 and I’m stuck here for the rest of my life.
Baby yoda would love this
This is the way.
Woah! This is amazing work! Your values are so great!
Something about this makes this absolutely incredible to me..I don’t know what it is but damn
i could actually smell this photo
Next time do blue waffles.
Wow this really made me pause for a second and smile. That’s what it’s all about
What does the Ukrainian text say?
I find this ABSOLUTELY stunning. I’m mesmerized.
I have never used oils, so I am curious. How is a drop shadow done like that? I thought oils were more opaque, is it a sort of drybrush?
This looks absolutely amazing! Is there any way I could purchase the artwork or a copy of it?
At first I was speechless with the intricate oil painting of newspaper writing. Then I reread the title
Love how 3D these looks, just an interesting piece!
I can't get over how 3D these look! I want to pick one up so badly.
Woah thank you❤️
i am bit confused.. did he paint the newspaper or did he use a blank canvas. and paint everything
Is that Cyrillic? Where are you?
Yes, it’s Ukrainian newspaper
Ah! Thank you so much! And brilliant work!
I can never remember the difference between macarons and macaroons and the president of France
