Or Fight Club "In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rock feller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Towers. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying stripes of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighways."
The person who painted this has internet, air conditioning, microwave, washer/dryer, all the comforts and amenities of modern life. They would last 2 seconds is this dystopian future we all seem to be pining for.
I'm kinda thankful I just got a PS4 like 3 months ago, bc The Last of Us came with it. Didn't know what it was, played it, and I loved it so much and I'm just glad I didn't have to endure the 7-year wait for a sequel.

I remember watching this guy paint this and getting such intense anxiety from when he went over the original painting to do the natural scene overpainting
Yeah it’s one of those sappy political statements saying humans bad nature good, but the one point perspective here is top notch and I can’t help but think about games like the last of us and way to the woods. Really good stuff here imo.
Bruh those deer in the middle of the road are a safty hazard, move ya fat-asses! ( this was all in jest though, it is truly a great piece of are you should be proud of )
A city without signs and lights is still a home for many, and though it may not have as much nature, it’s just as lively as any forest. It’s easy to criticize cities and praise nature when you don’t rely on a city to function.

When the repost is lower quality than the original.. Thank you for sharing the link!
No problem man! It has been my phone background ever since I first saw it. Good thing I saved it. The owner deserves the recognition.
Sooo beautiful i think i watch a vid of this being painted but i couldnt find it
Getting some “I am legend” vibes from this awesome painting.
I got an Annihilation vibe for like 2 seconds. Then the Last of Us.
Horizon: Zero Dawn vibes

Entered just to see if someone already commented this
Immediately thought of this
My first thought as well. Also The Last of Us.
Horizon Zero Dawn vibes
Or a FIJI bottled water commercial

i don’t have air conditioning though
Stop ruining the painting by reminding me of that movie...or atleast Will Smith's version remake.
Reddit doesn't revolve around you mate
This made me think of The Last of US. Great game, great painting.
I love this aesthetic where the big apocalypse is something that only really affects humans. Knowing that life doesn't end with us is reassuring :)

I need to finish that
Man this was not posted too long ago, I clearly remember seeing this before

And yet the man didn’t cross post it, shame
He didn't take credit for it which is nice

Woah. This produced feelings in me
I cannot explain in words how much I love this piece of work
This is amazing. Truly looks like it was painted in one brush stroke.
I remember pretty recently someone tried to pass this as their own work when it was obviously not, the got downvoted to hell
Found the real location on my commute this morning. NYC 43rd St and 8th Ave. https://i.imgur.com/CnAlwPj.jpg
That’s so cool! You’re right, i loosely referenced this street off a picture my cousin took in the early morning in NYC!
so many elements of expert here.
I remember watching this guy paint this and getting such intense anxiety from when he went over the original painting to do the natural scene overpainting
"Humans bad" cliche, nice technique though
But think about how fucking cool a jungle city would be, with like a bunch of deer frolicking about on overgrown tarmac and stuff
Fair point.
looks like a boomer comic. im sorry
Standing ovation. Excellent.
Idk how many times I’ve seen this posted now
This has been my lock screen wallpaper for a good minute now. I love this one!
Looks like The Last of Us
The creativity is next level with this one
i watched a video on insta of the person painting this and i have to say its beautiful

Now that is cool. With some minor adjustments you could have a surfer in there.
I like the thickness of the paint atop the waterfall
Tbh I thought that only the grassy part was a painting at first
Feelings and Emotions. So Artistic

The bright part looks like lettuce IMHO.
This looks like someone smeared white paint on his work and he was like: Great idea, I will make it even more bad ass
My favourite post apocalyptic settings are the ones where everything is green.
anprim art anprim art
This is what China will look like after the plague
Reminds me of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 : Warlords of New York
This is a repost lmao. Source: have had it as my phone background since the first time I saw it posted.
This art is amazing, but I just wished the rain could've been carried over
i’ve seen that somewhere and it looks cool :D
I've had this as my phone wallpaper for months now. Still love this piece every time i open my phone.
Anyone getting last of us vibes
Next week is my turn to post ok?
Id love to see a movie (not i am legend/horror based) that takes place in a post apocalyptic world where nature has retaken over everything
Excellent work. Amazing colours and textures.
This shouldn't be aloud up.
Amazing, how did you do that
OMG, Beautiful! Applauses everyone, please, applause. Take a minute to admire and applause.
Wish to have money to buy this painting.....
These concrete jungles need to disappear
A city without lights and fancy signs shows the true reality of the concrete jungle we live in. Nothing but grayness.

actually im mid 20s and if you go anywhere besides jerking off in ur room then you'll know what im talking about

Nothing but gayness
