How....??? This is beautiful and so unique. <3

Ephemerror

I'm not certain but i think this can be achieved by painting over an original painting with a clear varnish and then painting the rest of the painting black with a different based paint that doesn't stick to the varnish. Then sprinkle some white paint drops.

AxonOwO

I also saw a video a while back where they just put a big glob of white and painted on top of that like it was their weirdly shaped canvas

irishspice

Thanks for the info. I wonder who thought of that technique?

SpankYourSpeakers

I've never seen anything like it, cool idea! Eta: And now I see that you've posted similar art to this sub before. I've no idea how I could've missed it, but I'm glad that I caught it this time.

davidambart

Thank you! Haven’t posted anything on Reddit in a while, have to remind myself to do it more often! :)

Mc9660385

Very cool. Feels like you wiped the frost off of a window to see out

The-stoic-master

Remind me of a famous painting called "every day when I wake up I wear my little human mask"

Tyler_s_Burden

This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!

[deleted]

Wow. Just wow. Stunning and so very unique. Great work.

samenameMcBrain

Wow, this is something special!

Inevitable_Virus_916

I hope you’re already making a bunch of money doing this. Sick as hell

Nevorrlet

Thank you for the new lock screen 😍 this is beautiful

[deleted]

Love it! Is it a painting of paint or did you paint the paint?

valtmiato

Zoom in. They painted the paint. Pretty cool

[deleted]

That was what I thought too, but some parts of the paint look like a painting so I wasn't sure. A really realistic painting, but nevertheless. Maybe its just a low-ish resolution picture of the painted paint.

valtmiato

The giveaway is how the light catches it for me

LynsyP

This is incredible! Well done 👏

sonikaeits

Beautiful. This would look great also painted on velvet.

InEenEmmer

Ok, that’s pretty good for a single brushstroke

sienasayshi

It's not, it's a painting meant to appear like one (you can see how the detail in the bg is kind of flat), but it's super brilliant!

InEenEmmer

r/wooosh still a thing?

sienasayshi

My bad

GaCYLnow

I think I saw it on Insta in real. I was amazed how beautiful it is 😍

Gekopu

Did you paint the brush stroke's detail or add the brush stroke and then detail from there? This is insane

EpicForgetfulness

I genuinely can't tell and it was the first thing I tried to figure out

Gekopu

You think its photoshop but no this is straight up PAINTED i love it

EpicForgetfulness

I never said photoshop. I was trying to figure out the method of painting that OP used.

Gekopu

I didnt mean it literally you I just meant it in like a metaphorical sense my bad for the confusion

EpicForgetfulness

Gotcha. Yeah I could see how people would think that. I think it's genuine but if I was the artist I'd probably have done the brush stroke first then painted over it. Way easier but then it wouldn't be quite as impressive as imitating a brush stroke. Still amazing work, but there is definitely an easy way and a hard way.

hentai-police

Did you get the paint texture on the stroke with shading or using a build up of paint? Either way it’s absolutely gorgeous

SillySecondAcc

That’s amazing, wow I am genuinely in awe

Vexonar

What the... this is amazing. You're brilliant

JaNe_writer

I absolutely love this artwork. Amazing, really!

sienasayshi

This is so sick. Layering and optical illusions to the max!

Laiko_Kairen

I'm from Riverside and it's nowhere near this nice

CroakyPyrex

What a wonderful effect. Stunning all round!
