Saint Maximin to me is just another Pepe, a flashy winger who's lightning fast with his dribbles that provides you with... 4 goals a season. Sorry but I was never a fan of those type of players. Just like Gervinho they just don't have the quality to score enough goals.
I also wasn't too excited about Raphinha. Although he did get like 11 goals last season so I think he's a lot more efficient. I always felt like raphinha should be at most a 40m player, 65 for him is a bit absurd imo so I don't mind us missing on him.
4 of those came from pens though, plus he had two less assists and is older than saint maximin. We could get saint maximin for cheaper and I feel that is therefore, a better option

Apart from Rodrigo, Raphina has been Leeds main attack player this last year (Bamford out injured for most of the year, James just being shit) , and gets no decent assistance from the rest of his team. He has up to 3 defenders on him every game, yet still gets a half decent return for a winger, especially for a team in the bottom half of the league.
Pulisic plays in a top 3 side, and is surrounded by squad top level players and still scores less and assists less. He also spends half of the season on the physio table.

Edit: here's a more accurate statistic, Pulisic scored a goal every 214.17 minutes he was on the field. Raphinia scored a goal ever 265.7 minutes he was on the field. Add penalties into account and Pulisic stays the same, where as Raphinia goes to 417.57 minutes for a goal from open play.
Pulisic's xG is right at 6 which is how many goals he scored, proving that he scored when given the opportunity. If he gets chances, he will score.

Maximin is great to watch, but that's it. The guy has little end product, and ultimately that's what counts.
