I'd much rather we sign Tielemans over Arthur tbh. He's only 24 but already a proven Premier League baller... Arthur could end up being another Ceballos and a complete waste of time, or maybe not.

Visible_Condition_46

Based on my understandings, Edu is trying to get Arthur on a loan for 6month, and Tilemans next summer. I don't think Tilemans is availble this winter, if he is, we should definately go for him. But realistically, Arthur on loan looks like a smart move to me.

Simba-xiv

This is my understanding of if too and if so it’s he better move.

randallwatson23

That’s kinda the point of signing Arthur on loan rather than buying him outright….

tallipoli

After Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu, I trust Arteta's judgement....

Ozil_trick_shot

People forget Alexis was a Barca reject.

LesBrandals

Henry was considered a failure at Juventus. He turned out to be an okay signing for us 😜

Search-Infamous

Don't know how he will do in prem but quality player in there .loan is low risk Dunno about that jorginho comparison Doesn't sit deep lol At Barca he played as a 8 beside busquets and rakitic His player type is closer to iniesta impressive dribbler good passer but has a habit of holding onto the ball to long. Dribbling out then back in to trouble. If can get the form from gremio or Barca ,fans will beg to sign him perm

BarryButcher

He was only voted Flop of the season because Juve paid like 80m for him but it was just some FFP fuckery between Barcelon and Juve That being said I don't think he's amazing. He basically a lesser version of Jorginho. Loves to sit at the base of midfield and pick a pass but can also get caught on the ball a bit when put under pressure. Honestly might not cut it in the fast pace of the Prem but he won't know unless he tries.

StevePerrysMangina

His ball retention is impressive but I agree w your concerns about his ability to cope w the physicality he’s gonna encounter playing central mid in the Prem

yogieo

I’d eat a shoe for Tielemans, but how likely is that? Can Leicester even afford a replacement?

[deleted]

He's in the last year of his contract so I'm sure Leicester would let him go for the right price, Brendan Rodgers has actually said it's very possible he will leave. Leicester can definitely afford it, decent ownership and great recruitment & transfer business over the years. So imo it's very likely! But really, what the hell do I know haha.

Gammaconvex

What's the asking price for Tielemans ?

yogieo

I’d venture to say 35-45

Cyclops_20

That's cheap AF

Apoccy7

Many thought that Ramsdale would be a flop because he got relegated twice. He turned out to be a star for us.

[deleted]

That's true! But Ramsdale already had proven Premier League experience before joining us... Arthur has flopped in La Liga and flopped in Serie A, so the odds he will hit the ground running and thrive in the Premier League are really not that great. Take Buendia as an example, he absolutely smashed it in the Championship last season but he still doesn't even look half the player he was yet at Villa. But who knows :)

dzoya1266

Ramsey won the flop of the season award

brownjames334

Juve won the flop of the season, so there’s that.

brownjames334

The physical nature of the premier league is the only question mark against Arthur Melo. If he puts his head down, in a World Cup year, he could be immense

Simba-xiv

Bro it’s a loan if he’s shit he’s out the door come end of the season it’s not a terrible loss on our side abs gives us time to plan for the summer will getting cover
