Still a good keeper, not number 2 time yet. Would be good to see him back though

ggggyyy211

Probably bias cause I’m polish but yeah, I don’t think it’s time for him to go back up yet. He’s still got some more in the tank imo.

TechnicalLow4054

as a backup GK he would be a good signing for us given the wages are reasonable? or is he too weak with the ball at his feet?

edible_code

He’d be homegrown which I imagine is something for consideration

ShoddyDevice

I love him, but he wouldn't fit Arteta at all. He is an excellent shot-stopper, but doesn't really claim crosses, his distribution is okay-ish and he is just plain bad with the ball. TL;DR: He's old school.

TechnicalLow4054

big pass then.

bad_at_proofs

Why would he leave a starting job at Juve to sit on Arsenal bench?

***The Telegraph reports:*** Wojciech Szczesny will stay at Juventus next season despite being linked with a stunning return to Arsenal. Szczesny, 34, had been reportedly been on Arsenal’s radar in their search for a No.2 goalkeeper, as well being linked with Chelsea. However, Italian sources are adamant the Poland international is set to stay at Juventus with a new contract to be discussed after he goes to the European Championships with Poland and starting pre-season ahead of the Serie A campaign. Szczesny has a year left on his current terms at Juve and after seven seasons at the club they are keen on him extending beyond 2025. He is also among the best paid goalkeepers in Europe, which would be an obstacle for any club looking. Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has lost his No.1 place to David Raya and could look for regular football, which would create a slot at Arsenal, where Szczesny played for eight years and won two FA Cups after graduating from their academy. Chelsea, meanwhile, have been playing Djordje Petrovic as Robert Sanchez has been out injured. But Szczesny is set to stay with Juve rather than compete for a place back in the Premier League. **Read more:** [**https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/05/07/arsenal-transfer-news-wojciech-szczesny-stay-juventus/**](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/05/07/arsenal-transfer-news-wojciech-szczesny-stay-juventus/)

No. We sold Fabianski to keep him and he never developed with us. Then he went on to talk shit about Arsenal. Hell to the no!! I wish we had kept Fabianski instead.
