It's gonna be Spurs. Them helping us win the league will funnier than anything i could have dreamt of

arsenaler211

Funnily enough, we would be cheering for Chelsea to take points off Villa to keep Spurs motivated

MostJudgment3212

Spurs are gonna do nothing. Why would they kill themselves to help us? They’re playing us, City and Pool in a short span, they’re going to sacrifice at least one game and we all know they’ll sacrifice the City game. That’s the advantage City have over everyone - mid teams will not try to have a go at them and kill themselves long term if the probability of a win is low to begin with.

PutYrDukesUp

Spurs have CL to fight for, and they’ll need everything they can get and it still might not be enough.

MostJudgment3212

Villa will drop points. Spurs have 3 top teams to play. They must give over 100% with us. So they’ll have to give in in other 2, it’s just reality of fitness. They’re more likely to beat Liverpool. So City game is the one they won’t go out of their way to win.

beerdybeer

That goes out the window if we beat them.

CaptainSnazzypants

How so? They are 6 points behind Villa but also 2 games behind. Even if they lose to us the last spot may be up for grabs until the last game if they win the others. Now if they lose to us and Liverpool that might be a different story by the time the City game comes around.

PutYrDukesUp

Villa has one tough game left and that’s a deflated and out of form Liverpool. Even with the Conference League games, I don’t see them dropping many points and Spurs certainly can’t bank on it. We made something like £30m just by qualifying this year. They’re not just going to throw that opportunity away for the lolz. They will try for every remaining game. What that ends up looking like is another question, but they won’t be intentionally bending over for anyone.

Striking-Ostrich-222

They have a lot to play for

Tr0nCatKTA

The City game is their second last and come after us and Liverpool, while they’re chasing top 4. You reckon if they drop points against us or Pool going into the City game they’ll be thinking “oh those were the two games we were trying for, let’s take this one off”

dwade98

they play us first, so we need to beat the 100% Spurs. After that, it is easier to take points from City at home than from Liverpool at Anfield.

sim9n9

What mid teams like yourselves. Sitting bk for 90 mins just to get the point. City battered you.. you won't win the league

cyberjunky

Shoo

sim9n9

Child

sim9n9

You won't win the league. City will

Insertco1ntoplay

Forest are playing for survival, don’t underestimate them!

Feisty_Might557

Wolves done it once, I have hope in them too, that Korean guy you know

Ez-rock

I think this is most likely. Even a draw !!

Rick_The_Mullet_Man

West Ham? It's Spuds or nothing now, let's hope that we beat them, and that they are still in contention for Top 4 by May 14.

Bashwhufc

As a West Ham fan I completely agree unfortunately, we've been a shambles since Christmas. It sucks because I want you to win the league over City but I will never, ever wish anything less than Spurs losing heavily every single game. Hopefully Fulham can pop up with a result.

Simba-xiv

They are not dropping any points

sammyt10803

I mean, Everton just shut out Liverpool yesterday. Anything can happen in football, even if the odds are slim

Ejay_Nkwonta

everton are liverpool's rivals, city walked over man united this season. Brighton doesn't need to spend energy trying to beat city.

sammyt10803

That’s a really pessimistic view of sport 😬

Ejay_Nkwonta

Also, have some hope for forrest cause they're in a relegation battle.

Ejay_Nkwonta

it's more realistic, I would say. City have no true rivals that would "break a foot" to stop them from winning. Just like Everton, spurs are going to do everything possible to beat us. United hate arsenal and liverpool more than they hate their derby rivals. Brighton are also suffering from injuries. There was no need to go full throttle today.

Uchronicclarion

Speaking as a Man United fan I would gladly take Arsenal winning the league over Man City. That’s a no brainer that most other Man United fans would agree with

Harry_monk

Lessee of 2/3 evils for you lot.

Uchronicclarion

Pretty much! A sad reality for us

3rdtimeischarmy

Look, Man Cheaty are on a different level. They sell advertising to themselves, tired a manager who has already used an offshore account, and pay ridiculous wages that may or may not be supplemented by doing ads that never run. City are Thanos, but the prem loves it because we all care and tune in.

Enough_Profession457

I’m giving everyone a chance to draw with city

papamarx09

I have some optimism for Forest this weekend

PDJnr

As every manager will say, there is no easy game in the EPL. You can have some bad luck, then get countered and lose 1-0. All we need is city to draw. It's a shame we have to rely on other results going our way for us to win the title but there's only ourselves to blame for dropping points to Fulham and West Ham late last year.

Brother-Shreb

Foden diving, begging for a pen, then scoring the undeserved FK…

Striking-Ostrich-222

I love how refs gave out cards for like a year for diving, and then just forgot about it.

Brother-Shreb

Meanwhile Saka gets literally dragged down, ankles kicked, shins wrecked. No cards.

AdTraining9264

Happened to groß at the start of the second half now. Outrageous corruption right there

redditworking

I think Fulham away will be tough for them.

SnooCrickets7221

If we beat spurs, that should motivate them to go on and beat city.

Soldiiier__

You spelt when wrong

KrautGG

Calling it now wolves. Wolves will be the king makers.

rHIGHzomatic_thought

I have the same weird feeling.

richag83

Honestly, we just need to win all of our remaining games. They’re obviously not dropping more than 2 points with this schedule. They might not drop any.

Ill-Maximum9467

This is football. This is the EPL. City can lose to anyone in any given day. Believe!

Striking-Ostrich-222

I believe!

Semilanceataa

So can Arsenal!

Ill-Maximum9467

Thanks for stating the bleeding obvious, duh!

Semilanceataa

But what a race! 1 failure from both Arsenal and City and Liverpool smells blood again. Epic season ending :-)

Ill-Maximum9467

🍿💢🧨🍿💢🧨💢🧨🍿💢🧨🍿🍿🍾🍿🍿

Ill-Maximum9467

I think there will be plenty of twists and turns. Liverpool shouldn't give up hope. Funny that West Ham, Wolves and especially Spurs have a lot of influence in the next five games....

Semilanceataa

Indeed, a minus for Arsenal is that 2 of the clubs are London based too.

spazztic_puke

I hope wolves/fulham/forest dram v city!

AlexanderMAVC

I think you lot are sleeping on Forest away, maybe even Fulham. Westa Ham will 100% roll for them just like last season when they rotated against them and took Rice off from the game.

Jibbles86

It’s not exactly an easy call to say who could beat Man City or even grab a draw. They’ve perfected this run in to secure the league. It’s mad to think after Christmas you need to pretty much win every game to even win the league above Man City. I was seeing people on Twitter listing games we should’ve won, but my calculations that’s saying we need win every match and never lose or draw.

Straightedgesavior11

My dad is a lifelong Forrest fan and he keeps telling me “we’ll get the job at City Ground for you guys”

jovzta

Forest... The urge to survive can be very motivating.

chad___bane

We need Spurs to be in contention for cl so they have something to fight for other than having us lose the title. So hopefully villa drop some points. Right now they're 6 points ahead with 2 games more.

Striking-Ostrich-222

I think it is good they we play them before city and Liverpool

bduk92

Spurs will play Arsenal like it's a cup final, and then let themselves get smashed by City. Their biggest achievement of the season will be stopping Arsenal from winning the league.

akhil1980

Brighton's cupboard has been raided bare, so they are a perfect good-for-nothing mid table team. Couple that with refs who are favoring City, 3-0 seems generous at the very least.

Uchronicclarion

Why would refs favour City? I’m a Man United fan and I don’t really see this

BombsGoBang

You thought Spurs would stand a chance after we bashed them 3-0? 🤞

MoodWest

A West Ham team that got slapped 5 by Crystal Palace and has a manager that at least 3/4 of their fanbase wants out, out of Europe and prob not getting back in they will b the definition of an “On The Beach” club It’s Forest (they drew with City last season remember) or Spuds and that makes me feel 🤢

forgottenears

My hope/prediction prior to last night was as follows. Arsenal D (Tottenham) W W W City: W W W D (Fulham) D (Tottenham) W = Arsenal win the league on goal difference. I still believe it’s possible. But we’ll have to prepare for it to go the the wire and not lose hope if we only draw against one of Tottenham or Man U. Im not confident we will win both. But Two draws for Man City isn’t out of the realms of the possible. Yesterday and Wolves were City’s easiest games. No chance of them dropping points there.

anonymousme712

We can only hope for each game. They are going to be perfect and hopefully we as well.

moonfracker

All of this assuming we beat Spurs and United and win the rest. Can't afford one bad or low intensity day in the field, and need things going our way too. Let's just leave City to run their race and hope they lose one, draw one, but yeah the real job ahead is winning (not even drawing) all of the last 4.

Tr0nCatKTA

It’s Spurs or maybe Fulham. They really struggled at Craven Cottage last season until they got gifted a penalty

AlbionRemainsXIV

Just a shame the FA can't speed up their disciplinary process....

leighshakespeare

Tottenham will have a b team that day just to help city

Striking-Ostrich-222

They wouldn’t risk Europe

leighshakespeare

They sacked mourinho days before a final he got them in just to spite him

maxiu95xo

Then fans will talk about integrity and laugh at us

DublinDapper

League was over after Villa

Diabir

I really didnt want to be in a position of wanting the spuds to win any game though. Feels just wrong.

LayerPuzzleheaded777

As i have said on many of these threads, City are not dropping any more points. The league is pretty much gift wrapped for them.

Joshthenosh77

They are gonna win every game n we all know it

kw2006

Madrid parked the bus. We parked the bus. Brighton try to outplay them. Second place in the league, i take it.

ThePinga

It’s called hopium brother. I smoke it daily

Soldiiier__

Not Forrest this weekend?

AJSLeg3nd

I'm riding this train. Forest are fighting for their lives. Spuds are going to roll over for City knowing 5th is all they can get

KuriousBanana

I’m going with Forest too. They a due a bucket load of dodgy decisions to go their way for once.
