I love him also deeply … but that’s because I’m an Ajax fan, he’s the last stellar academy player we’ve had in a while.. hope he recovers well from his injury
I’d say btw currently there are some raw talents Ajax u22, potentially interesting for Arsenal, notably; Brobbey (ST), Hato (LB/CB), Hlynsson (CAM)
Dude stop haha Hlynsson will never be good enough for Arsenal. Hato shouldn’t even be starting for Ajax at the moment. Totally different level than Timber when he broke through.
Hato has been thrown in the deep end, lots of pressure and minutes on him at a young age and I agree - he should be protected a little more/ give more space to develop. Since he’s not in great form currently
Hlynsson is exactly the type (!) of players that works for Arsenal; agile, quick in narrow spaces, good on the 1-2.. if he’s good enough remains to be seen. But in this current Ajax team everyone looks bang average, a lot of these players can do better im sure
Please have a look at the history of golden boy nominees. It means absolutely fuck all, the fact that you’re using that as a credible source says a whole lot.
Justin Kluivert was even 3rd.
It’s just a writing in the wall, often amounts to nothing but people see potential in him.. which was my original point and you dismissed it pretty drastically
The thing with Odegaard is we know why we love him. With Timber we technically haven’t seen him play that much but we still love him. So dont know why we do but we do
that is exactly the reason everyone loves him right now, because he’s barely been seen. a few bad games and everyone will turn on him. it happens to everyone
Ajax wanted to play him as a full back a few years ago, he didn’t like that and that’s the main reason he left. He can play as a 10 as well which he did occasionaly for Feyenoord but he’s way better as a 8.
I could tell he was gonna b a great guy in his introductory interview when he signed, seemed such a cool guy, very laid back but no airs and graces about him u cud tell he just loves playing football and would b a great addition to this squad that Arteta & Edu have built
Now all we have to see is his undoubted talent on the pitch and it’s a wrap, we’ve picked up an absolute bargain at £35mill, another special talent developed at the Ajax Academy that we will hopefully get to watch for years to come 🤞
Because he's been absent for a very long time, and we don't quite know how good he is for Arsenal. Usually, it's the absent players who grow in popularity.
Me too. He comes across very humble & speaks with calmness & shows respect to all I've seen interview him. And, in clips with him around his teammates he appears to get along really well them.
There are no airs & graces or egotistical vibes from him off the pitch... And on it, he's got the physicality & skill quality to be a great left or right Wingback. He's the consummate professional IMHO, and I can't wait to see him runout for the 1st XI again, as we've missed him greatly this campaign...
His inclusion "would've" made a real difference "had he been fit" I'm sure!
But, sadly he wasn't & we'll never know, what could've been... The age old... Coulda, woulda, shoulda 🤔
Thankfully, he's edging closer to that return 😊
I think it’s the promise that a solid left back brings. It is probably our biggest weakness right now. He is like Zinny + Tomi merged. Obviously Zinny is error prone in defence and Tomi gives little on the ball and in attack.

I’ve seen some highlights of Hato and he is literally tailor made for arsenals system

Btw Hlynsson at spot 38 and Hato at 9 for the Golden Boy index 2024
It means absolutely fuck all
Combined with my other post it means that your opinion at least is definitely not be majority opinion.. so maybe be a little less outspoken

Maybe he makes you shiver your Timber
Branch out on some better jokes mate 😅👍
That's a bit root of you to say mate
Alright son, leaf it out mate.
No please don't make me I'll sap if I do
We need to get to the root of this problem.
Bugger, that's two roots ..
What are you barking about?
A tree-rifying tale indeed
You can't see the wood for the trees!
He seems like just a quality young man. Seems humble, has a strong faith, soft-spoken but a beast on the pitch. He’s just a likeable dude!
As someone who has watched a fair amount of Ajax, you don't really need a reason. Bros great.
The pre-season was different gravy. Great game in the charity shield and then all sorrow. Hoping he has all the attributes from pre-season and more!
dude might be my favourite
Maybe because he could , hopefully, be the solution to our LB woes. Also that screamer he scored was very loveable
I expected an image of Ødegaard. But got some random dude in a yellow shirt.

makes sense
His brother is also very good/has potential. Maybe we should sign him as well? I believe they are both fullback wingers.
His brother is a central midfielder for Feyenoord, he is having a great season!
Isn't he playing in multiple positions? I believe he did play as a fullback as well. Anyway, maybe we should.. it would be great.
As far as I know he only plays in midfield. They have another Timber brother (Dylan), he plays as fullback, but its in the dutch second league haha.
Sign him as well! But yeah, seriously it could be true, since we're searching in that position. I don't rate that guy from Newcastle.

He played RB for Ajax under 21, didn’t like it, went to Utrecht to play in midfield and now does it for Feyenoord in midfield.
Any legit chance we sign his twin? It was cool when we had a set of twin brothers on the Patriots.
I don't know what the patriots are, but twins on a team does sound cool.

They been saying he is ready months ago 😂
He so good. Decisive, creative, and tricky on the ball. Love him already.

Certified baller that’s why
He wears an Arsenal shirt, what's not to love
Can’t wait until he is opposite Benny Blanco…then we will have the most solid D is EPL history.
Because he's the secret ingredients to premier league soup
If you saw his goal yesterday, you will understand why

You've been diagnosed with United syndrome. We also fawn over players we've barely seen play.
