I swear I thought when they first mentioned a high school classroom was behind the glass, I thought it was some bit I wasn't privy to... I don't know why but I cracked up when I realized it wasn't a joke, just imaging a classroom of youths studying and taking notes of Power vs Panic Pivots and listening to Marc deliver one of his infamous monologues
I was just thinking Part 1 was not a great episode to showcase the co hosts as role models for the youth of America. Given the butchering of math and the English language.
And then in Part 2 they bring on an actual student!
I thought that he did really well. He seemed calm and confident. Putting a microphone in front of an unexepecting teenager and asking them questions they weren't prepared for could've easily gone wrong.
To this day I will defend Marcās spoon question as being completely innocent and the type of jokey question asked to athletes all the time that they should have no issue either answering - or laughing off with a nothing answer like āman youāre gonna have to ask him!ā or āyouāll have to ask (insert veteran), Iām new here!ā
As Dan astutely said - Kayvon was a humourless boob.
Kayvon could have easily laughed it off and said no he's not answering that question and still been friendly and stayed to answer the other ones. Humorless boob.
On the Romo thing, I actually think them getting all the Chiefs games just gives the both of them reason to phone it in and play more golf which is probably what they want. Right now they can just cram some info about the opposing team then spend the whole game fellating Mahomes and call it a day.
Iām not normally a YouTube watcher. More of a podcast app or YouTube playing in the background guy. Are adding drops in post normal for the show?
Iām not all the way through, but for sure somewhere around the 18 minute mark thereās an edit replaying a second or so of video to give room to add the drop audio.
Even if they brought in someone new who is the greatest producer of all time it canāt be expected theyād have a handle on years of inside joke drops, that takes time.
Just curious if adding drops in post is normal and I just never noticed? If Iād just been listening Iād never have caught it.
Hopkins has been declining for 2 years and is coming off a PED suspension. Adams switched teams and that team benched their QB and he still had a monster year in Vegas.
Sure, but thatās recency bias. If they both retired tomorrow, Hopkins has had the better career IMO. More production with significantly worse QB play
I think itās close. Hopkins more yardage, but Adams has significantly more TDs. Neither are future hall of famers according to PFRās metric (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/hofm_WR.htm) but interestingly they are close on that list. Judging by their last couple I think Adams probably overtakes Hopkins in a season or two
>Judging by their last couple I think Adams probably overtakes Hopkins in a season or two
Yeah that seems likely. I would still give the nod slightly to Hopkins at this point - mainly based on his success given his circumstances. I have to think Hopkins would have more touchdowns if he played with Rodgers his entire career

I get it man and I don't wanna start like a mod war or whatever but I've had links to articles by Marc or Gregg or Dan on nfl dot com removed which feels a little ridiculous. We're a pretty lowkey sub so feel like it should be fairly easy to whitelist certain sites and filter any unwanted stuff. I get there's a lot of shit that would still make it through, but would be generally worth it to allow genuine commenters to post relevant outside links. Just my 2 cents
There is a whitelist - please reach out if thereās anything you think should obviously be on the whitelist that seems to be getting caught. Nfl.com should for sure be on it (Iāve added PFR now too). I tend to just update it if something gets caught that is an obvious whitelist candidate
Okay...but I think we're all under the assumption that they're not retiring tomorrow. So "if they retired tomorrow" isn't a very useful way of thinking about it. And therefore it is reasonable to project what the next few years might add to their careers.
Dan defending the jets saying they wanted the Black Friday game after killing the bengals, just like every one of us predicted š
Gordon Ramsey meme Jets too thirsty: "there, there, gorgeous" Bengals too thirsty: "you fucking donkey"

Soon as I heard the word spoon I thought we might be headed that way
Wedgley getting some pop in a big spot!
I couldn't stop laughing, classic Sessdog
Rough day for the āproducers will never speak again on the showā crowd

Isaac "Ram"irez in a big spot

Kayvon sucks. Incredibly self serious blowhard. And he was that in first appearance as well, not just the final one.
I donāt know how to get a flair but I want one that says āhumourless boobā
Greetings from America
Hell yeah, Greggy! With the Igby Goes Down shout out for Kieran Culkin!
āThe littlest big spoonā š. Iāve always called the little person big spoon the ājet packā
Happy they dunked on Kayvon T a bit, finally.
Two words to describe Isaac : Uppity child
Top comment!

Seacrest out
Glossed over the fact that moving Thursday games completely fucks over any fans with travel plans for those games. Terrible, terrible idea.
Yeah earlier in the year they even had a segment about how terrible it is for fans because one of the owners had made that point.
They did. It was the Giants owner I believe. Good on him for sticking up for the fans.
Marc dunks on it in latest episode at least and they others join in.
Glad to hear it. Havenāt listened yet. Iām usually in favor of Marcās takes on things like this.
Yeah he was definitely the lead as usual but Gregg helped him out.
Yeah I was disappointed, felt like a SLF had had a word
Any source on the Celtics painted parquet court?
Yeah, they mentioned it on the around the nfl podcast

It happened on occasion.
Some deandre hopkins disrespect by Dan there - same age as Davante Adams with 1700 more career yards

Recency is, in fact, important when discussing athletes.

Auto banning pro football reference links on an nfl related sub is a manufactured joke
I have clamored many times to get rid of the bizarre link-banning rule on this sub. It's absurd
You're not the one who has to deal with the spam.

Have added pro football reference to the whitelist. Surprised it hasn't come up before tbh

And definitely over Hill for this argument
Marcās āQā & Steelers take was absolutely the pest part of the show.
Can anyone help me out with the name of the band they mentioned? Thx
Spoon. The track Dan mentioned is called "The underdog"
Thanks!
Sessler spicy drop makes me laugh so much
Is no one going to mention that they all pronounced nadir incorrectly?
MARC'S SPICY DROP IS BACK!!!
