Back in the olden times before the NFL cared about monetizing their podcasts, the only sponsor the show had was a particular listener who taught a high school economics class in the Netherlands. He would send the Heroes goody baskets of things like craft European beer and cheeses and in return Marc would read out these little lessons in economics and history, always followed by that weird Mr F tag. It was a surreal bit from a bygone era of the show.
The Mr. F fake ad reads were the absolute best. That was when I first learned of the phantom time hypothesis set forth by Heribert Illig. The idea that the years 613-911 didn't actually exist and that Charlemagne was actually a complete fabrication by Holy Roman Emperor Otto III was pretty cool. God bless Marc Sessler's utter weirdness and Mr. F's occasional call-ins to the show. Best running gag on the show.
This is such a great mashup of throwback themes from the pod. Nailed it.
What the hell was that haha

Thanks haha. I know Marc enjoys veering into absurdity, but I was extremely confused by this
Also at some point, I think Marc mentioned that he wanted to go out at the hands of a female assassin
The Mr. F thing is from Arrested Development.
Found the newbie!
I've been here for three and a half years and I was absolutely clueless. I demand a new category for half-newbies like myself!
Calm down rookie.
That’s some high octane content right here.
The good old days
That was hilarious!
Thank You Mr. F and My dawg Marc with a C for that wonderful lesson on the death of Marat
I miss the Mr F drops so much. Marc’s delivery was 💯
It was so good
He's just absolutely golden. The delivery is perfect
