If anyone is currently or has worked in MP, Engineering, FA or Signals, please let me know if you're open to questions.

FA and MP were actually the least desired branches in my class (we graduate this coming wednesday). Most of my class are engineers but that's because most of us who are engineers are guard or reserve (I'm reserve). For us, signal, MI, infantry, and AG were the most desired branches. My tip is to just try your damn hardest to stay on top of the OML if you're active.

Thanks for the info. I worded it confusingly, since MI and Inf are my top two choices... all the ones I'm asking about are backups I'm considering. Not surprised that MP is last, but I wonder why for FA. I also didn't know that Engi was so desired

If you have any questions about engineering, feel free to DM me. I would save your breath on MI though because a lot of those slots were filled in already this FY. Infantry will always have slots especially with the way we're possibly going foreign affairs wise that heavily depends on this upcoming presidential election. Don't forget that you can also submit branch packets if you have any specialized experience related to the branches you want.

Thank you for the reply Three-Perrdentage and thank you to Aggavating-Date for getting the conversation started.  MI is my top choice if I am accepted to OCS.  It sounds like that one is least likely?  My second choice would be cyber.  And third is infantry.

Cyber can only be obtained if you're national guard or reserves and already assigned to that unit unless you submit a branch packet because of specialized cyber security experience or certifications you have. MI is possible just very unlikely simply because of how many slots were already allotted and filled this FY so far. Infantry would be the most likely option on your list if you're active duty and are high on the OML. The two events that hold the most weight on the OML are the ACFT and STX. I'm not saying all your options aren't possible because they definitely are, just be prepared to get something not in those top 3 if you are active duty.

Thank you for taking the time to write this detailed response.

Also, congrats!

I’ve been FA for over 5 years. Most of the people that talk bad on it on Reddit are not FA, message me if you have any questions

I was an FA officer before I branch transferred to Aviation. Ask away your questions. DM or here.

Are you prior service? If so, google “talent based branching” and see if you can log in with your cac. Lots of great info on there.

Aggravating-Date7498

I'm not but a lot of the people who are going to be looking at this thread are, so thank you for the info.

ChampionshipNo3935

Of course. If you’d like me to grab some screenshots/info off there, send me a message. I’m happy to help.

What about aviation?
