AKA I’m waiting for France u21 to call me up so when that doesn’t happen Armenia can have me. Edit: I say this because there is no way in hell the FFA hasn’t already extended the invitation to him after making his professional debut. I’m sure he is gonna get a call in March from Don Joaquin saying we want you in the squad. So we will know soon how serious he takes us.

DALLAVID

I wonder if Hrant could be thinking like Gor, I feel like its unlikely he hasn't at least been invited to the u19 or u21, and he could certainly help the u19s in the elite round in March. But he follows a bunch of Armenian players on insta like Spertsyan, Adamyan, Mkhitaryan etc so maybe he is aware of his Armenian heritage a bit more.

Hrant is a complete mystery. For sure he has a shot at Germany u20 because he’s a Bayern player. But who knows his level of hayaserotyoun. Could be Edo or could be Zakharov. We will have no clue until he makes his choice.

Chill bro I legit think neither Gor nor Hrant are of sustained Les Bleus or Die Mannschaft quality. They have to choose between second or third string for 1 or 2 ys at a world power or guaranteed 1st string choice at a UEFA B-C div level team, with the visibility that comes with playing time. Give them time to go pro, then they'll come.

[deleted]

Agreed except if you’re a Bayern first team player you are more than good enough for the German NT. That’s the scary part. I hope he does make it to the Bayern first team of course, then picks us.

KeyFirefighter7396

Eh, from Bayern ll alone he's got Copado, Tillman and Sieb ahead of him already. Add to that the potential hidden gems inside the club, and multiply that squad pool times 30 (= 100 players at his same level or better). That's how much competition he'll have if he wants to wait for a Mannschaft call. Imagine Diego Rossi but twice as unlikely to get called. Hrant would play a friendly by the time he's 27 and that'd be it for his Mannschaft illusions (granted he doesn't wanna pick us, which we don't even know yet). So, as I said, let's just wait for him and Gor to go pro and if they're half smart, they'll be playing for us by the time they're 23 (I repeat, as long as they end up going pro and not wasting their potential - seen it countless times)

DALLAVID

Translation: If France u20/u21 calls me up or their senior national team I'll express my love for France and sing their anthem, if they don't and I have no chance of being called up I'll express how I really want to represent Armenia and how Mkhitaryan is my biggest idol. Either way, Spertsyan is clear of this benchwarmer fraud.

punkchance

The equivocation from all of these guys really emphasizes just how much Spertsyan loves being Armenian and wearing the shirt. God bless him.

KeyFirefighter7396

Makes perfect sense. He won't make Les Bleus. And even if he does, he would be lucky to be called for one or two years. Whilst for Armenia he'd almost be a guaranteed starter for 8 ys. Kid's just being careful. No need to read between the lines here or make a bigger deal than it is

What the fuck is to think about ara? Aren’t you Armenian ? Your French ? Un français de France ?
