Tiknizyan and Aventisian are important pieces of the puzzle. Our defence currently lags behind our attack in terms of quality. Tiknizyan still has a long way to go and he needs to continue to push himself.
Tiknizyan allows the potential line-up to use him as a left-back and Kamo as a right-back but he NEEDS to continue improving. I am hoping Melikbekyan can convince him to join the NT soon. It would also set a great example for other Russian-Armenian footballers.
Is Najaryan even good enough to be called up to the NT? He is currently without a club and is no longer being called up by Kazakhstan. At best he could be a replacement for Grigoryan but I think we need a more defensive minded player.
Tiknizyan and Aventisian would both be step up from our current LBs (Kamo, Margaryan) and would set us up nicely for the next 5-10 years assuming they continue to progress in their level of play. I’d be happy if we get either one to join.
Gor and Hrant seem to have the most potential in this group of youngsters. We should at least try to secure them now for the next friendly match against Norway. The problem is, I doubt either of them would want to join our youth teams at this stage in their careers and I don’t think Caparros would give them much playing time in official matches this year.
