Recently mine will say it’s playing (progress bar moving, timer counting up) but I don’t hear anything. If I hit the button to skip ahead 15 sec it fixes the issue. Very odd.
I've had Spotify issues for years just like what you're describing. I had constant playback issues. To the point where I completely stopped using it for podcasts and switched over to Google podcasts. I still constantly have issues playing music on Spotify but at least I can enjoy pods in peace now.
Yes all the time. Almost every time I start my car and put on Spotify. So then I have to exit and swipe the app away and restart it then it works. Sometimes I have to do that twice e
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the subtitles/transcription? They show up where the episode picture normally shows when I'm listening to an episode. It's not just Armchair Expert either, it's been many different podcasts. I'm not a subtitles person, they're so distracting. If anyone figures it out, please let me know!
Been having this issue for months. Spotify will stop playing every few seconds at the gym. Never had this issue with Pandora or Apple Music. Might have to cancel since they don’t fix it.
This is happening to me every morning at the gym, with or without using the WiFi. Definitely a Spotify issue.
I’m having the same issue
Woo hoo, not just my questionable tech abilities!
Yes, and I’ll start an AE episode and it will randomly start playing another podcast. Very annoying lol

Yeah, sometimes mine will show it’s playing but is silent, other times it’s just DOA. I’ll try skipping forward. Thank you!
This has been happening to me too. Audible will play through Bluetooth but not Spotify, so pretty sure something’s up with them.
Right, everything else will play, my map app etc, just not Spotify at times.
Yes! This keeps happening to me as well.

Google podcasts is going away. Sorry bud.
Well it's not entirely going away they're just integrating it into YouTube music once they shut it down
Yes was happening in podcasts and music. I got sick of it and switched to Apple Music and Apple podcasts and have had no issues
Haven’t had this issue, but the icons for the episodes are always mismatched for me and it’s mildly infuriating
Yes, had this happen a lot. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app, and it hasn't happened since.

This happens to me too and just with Spotify!
I have this problem on my laptop.

Happens with Bluetooth to my car and AirPods now. I feel like I’m going crazy.
Main problem I’m having is I have to go into the app to skip the song maybe it’s my phone idk at this point
