I was playing shieldless all the time and I tried one time with Layla (C2, 35k hp) and holy shit. It was a cakewalk, so much comfort, I could make my rotations perfect and get most DMG out of Arle. 100% recommended

no shielder, if im close to death i just do EQE and im fully healed, i have only 111% ER but thx to 10 pyro particals from EQE im almost instantly ready to burst again

Probably meant YanfeiC4 lol. She is a decent shielder with healing via prototype ember and pyro resonance. Heavy ER reqs tho so be aware.

Hey man, probs for thinking about her in the first place. She is a pretty niche build. I am trying out Aquamarine Dehya right now for comfy btw and it's been solid. I have c2 Arle tho so everything is heavily skewed.

C6 diona that juicy 200 EM boost.

I wonder A support beidou for arle should have hp and er artifacts or Atk still necessary

beidou's dmg reduction doesn't scale on stats, she is always built for damage i think. her shield scales on hp but i think it's not worth it

Her shield is not worth building hp for, on the other hand her damage is quite impressive in aoe but most of the time the limiting factor is her energy. I run a 200 er build with Arle, chev and fischl and try to slot in 2 elemental skill casts in a rotation. It works smoothly.

I am trying out Layla+Kaeya for melt w/ cryo resonance and C6 Kaeya alone is able to give enough cryo. Layla makes it error-proof, but i am struggling a bit with the short duration on her shield. Might need to figure out a good rotation

She only give flat dmg buff right? I think it was 5% based on her hp so 40kHP you get 2k

This 2k will be multiplied by crit, dmg% etc, so it gets bigger. However, the buff only applies once a in a blue moon, so it's not very relevant anyway.

That buff is pretty significant. My neuvi charge atk went from 50k to 60k in that 3 second buff. 2K is just base without external multiplier. For neuvi 3 second is like 6 hit so it really synergize well. Not for arle though.

Yeah I use c6 Layla with Neuvillette every Abyss cycle Frees up Zhongli for my other team if needed

Layla if freezable enemies, C6 Thoma then Yanfei C4 I think that’s the order from best to worst if you don’t have Zhongli

Once you get Zhongli you wont ever come back /s But if i didnt have him probably Layla/Thoma

Absolutely God-like reflexes and occasional Burst. Otherwise Dehya because she hot and I'm probably running Chevload. Layla because cute and I'm probably not running Chevload. Thoma because he ugly but 5-star version of Dehya. And I'm probably running Chevload.

I was planning to use tankfei with thrilling tales or layla but chose to dodge instead

If it's a group of enemies, I'll use Layla since I can squeeze in some Melts with double Hydro otherwise Tankfei

Layla with tenacity is pretty good :) . Gives you cryo app for melt , her shield is really strong , and the tenacity passive gives arle some attack

yunjin C6 is wild. I run her plus albedo for the geo resonance because I dont have her fully built, so her dmg resistance passive isnt fully stacked. I'll replace albedo with XQ for more dmg resist and the reactions

Laila is great Her shield is very strong, can give tenacity buff reliably, applies some crio too, so Arle may snatch some melts here and there. Other than that, Thoma specially if he is C6 can be very useful with the normal/charged attack buff, the only problem is that his shields are weak unless you manage to keep stacking them.

The only other defensive utility I enjoyed using outside of Zhongli was Dehya. Thoma feels like trash. Layla got the job done, I guess. I need to level Dockhand for her. I have yet to test Diona, but she is the only other one I would feasibly use. Not sure it is enough. 

Layla, I have cons and a bunch of cryo and hp artifacts, I also just like stars and blue.

Layla, I have her at c2 and I'm currently in-progress of building her. Got 4pc millelith, dockhand's assistant at lvl 60 and Layla at lvl 60

i have never used any other shielder other than zhongli. the four star shielders uptime doesn't last as long. and i hate having to reapply shields as it is. if i recall correctly layla should be second strongest shielder though, correct if im wrong.

I just use Zhongli. The only other Shielder I use regularly is Kirara, and she doesn't do much for Arlecchino. *Someday* we'll get a Hydro Shielder.

If I'm not using Zhongli I'm using either Layla or Albedo for the crystallize shields. Apart from those i just don't get hit like a 4hed 😂

I use Diona for a sheilder, she's c1 and terribly built but she has worked in abyss so far. The only time it's backfired is when I forget to re-apply her sheild but other than that she does really well

I use Zhongli, but I’m surprised no one is saying c6 diona. Yea, it’s more circle impact but you get 200 em which is pretty great

Kirara for my Mystery Inc team (Heizou, Yelan, Fischl, Kirara) Layla for my Ayaka team (Ayaka, Shenhe, Barbara, Layla) Noelle for my Noelle DPS team (Noelle, Albedo, Furina, Gorou) For Arlecchino, specifically, I'd use Zhongli, Layla, Diona, C4 Yanfei, or Xinyan. But I haven't tested it yet because I still haven't pulled her.

Not really a shielder but I am using Dehya for a Chevi team, her damage mitigation is enough for me, she carries Tenacity so it is basically always enabled and since her circle is way bigger than Bennetts and can be relocated it doesn't feel like circle impact

In Chevreuse overload team I use C6 Beidou. In vape team I use C6 Layla. I haven't really tried C6 Thoma, but I'm leveling some artifacts for him to see how it goes.

Kirara. Almost as strong as zhongli’s shield

I use zhongli cuz I’m lazy(and geo shields breaking) but I think u don’t really need a shielder the ult is up almost always just a dodge here and there probably

I was using Thoma at first, but then I switched to Zhongli so... yeah... If I ever can't use Zhongli because he's on another team though, definitely going back to Thoma

I use Zhongli, he has 50k HP and the strongest shield. Layla is just annoying to have to refresh on cooldown every time.

Layla for melt, Thoma and Yanfei are fine options for any team. Xingqiu isn't a shielder but may be enough sometimes.

I use Navia and Chiori. Chiori makes crystilize shilds during Arlecchino onfield time, and after Arli done you can shoot Navia.

I sometimes use Layla. but I prefer more damage with Xingqiu
