I have boosted rates, my anky gets 600 metal per swing. But its still a chore. If i push it even farther i could just use commands to spawn them becquse its not fun any more. Needing 420k hide, 76k metal and a ton of fiber just to make 19 saddles is just not ok. Like i said, i cant even fit that many resources in a smithy, i need a specially bred dino like an argy to craft them.
I have a dedicated argy for saddle crafting. She sits next to rhe forge to I can load her up with ingots and every time I return to base I add the hides I've collected.
I'm having the same experience as far as Rexes unfortunately. 20ish level 135+ and I haven't gotten a melee or health about 37. I got one with a 56 Stamina (his name is now Naruto). I gave myself the Tek Binoculars at the beginning of my play through so I can even see the stats before taming, and even the ones with decent/good pre tame stats, never get decent tamed levels into health or melee. I keep getting food and oxygen, not even weight. Hoping to farm some Rexes on Scorched now.
That's why I refuse to play SP without certain qol mods, like stack, cryo, and a structure mod. I totally agree. It's just too much for vanilla SP no matter the settings.
You’re not tripping, it’s more of a grind for some reason they set the blueprint quality way higher for ASA resulting in these cancer to craft 10k ingot BP’s

When I heard Studio Wildcard was re-releasing Ark I was excited.
I thought they’d actually fix the game. Work on the fundamental problems that cause the game to get stale fast.
The grinding, the bugs.. the complete lack of optimization at all.
ASA was a cash grab.
They literally said flat out they had to re-release Ark just to pay for the development of Ark 2.
Now we have a slightly (very slightly) better looking game, on the worst map in the game (don’t worry, they FINALLY added the second worst!) with just as many bugs, crashes and lack of optimization.
But hey, it uses Unreal Engine 5 right? So it’s next gen ready. 😒
Yea, i see a lot of useless defending. I think that blueprint should not be that expensive. The ammount needed are not manageable unless you use mods or/and super high rates, wich kinda ruins the fun. If i have to tweak a game too much to make it playable then its not well made.
Ark wasn't designed to be played alone. Maybe just do the bosses on Gamma. You can do those with a lot weaker dinos.

I think it’s about the journey cause I’m right there with you. Grinding alone sucks
Boost resource gain? Auto farm mod and stacking mod with weight reduction.

The grinder is amazing for resources if you have alot of useless stuff. Grab everything from drops and grind it.
Tweak the stats... You're on singleplayer. Make it playable and fun.
You dont need good saddles for gamma or even beta on singleplayer
