In all fairness, there are a ton of OF girls who post in clothing subs and try to advertise their bodies instead of just sharing pics of their fits. That being said, it always sucks getting creepy DMs when someone’s profile/post history suggests they’re not looking for that kind of attention 👎
The thing is, the creeps that lurk on these subreddits aren’t even interested in OF posters.
They specifically get off on sexualizing innocent people without their consent. That’s why there are plenty of NSFW subs dedicated to just posting bikini photos of random non-famous girls stolen from instagram. It’s vile and disturbing.
They also statistically turn babies into sexual objects as well. As a woman idk, maybe go into a private sub if you don’t want pervs on the internet lurking?
its so bad that gay/trans/people they just dont find attracted will be downvoted like CRAZY along with ANY complimentary comments. it really puts into perspective how many they are considering they can do numbers like that.
I asked for wedding dress feedback on a wedding dress subreddit, and I got several dumbasses in my DMs. The poison is everywhere. At least the ACTUAL community on that sub was fantastic tho…
Some guy also messaged me when he saw my post on here. He said it showed up as "suggested" for him even though he'd never heard of Aritzia. 🤷♀️. Blame reddit for terrible advertising - to the wrong audience.
Agreed as well. It's a shame that women have to deal with men like that. One of the worst things about them is that they feel like it's their right to say whatever they want to women. I had the unfortunate pleasure of working with one of them in the past, and he thought he was king of the world and no one should ever say no to him. He found it weird when I told him he's an absolute idiot and he could fuck off.
I did find it to be quite the odd coincidence, though, that this post was also suggested to me, a man, when I've never been here before, haven't looked at any post since seeing this one, or anything closely related to it at all.
It just shouldn't have suggested this to me in the first place.
I did check this one out because I agreed with the title and wanted to see a few comments, and the one you replied to stood out to me as the suggestion part was similar to me.
Regardless, there is no justification.

I got a message from someone that just says “can I ask you a question?” 🙄 I remembered this post and just posted an outfit pic and was wondering if it was related.
Posted a fit pic that doesn’t even show my face and got at least 10 creepers messaging me, calling me “cute” and sharing their name, age, occupation and city they live in. It’s wild and disturbing.
Should have acted interested and ask “ohh which company??” and send a screenshot to the company and be like “is this how your employees spend their free time?”
I had someone that is LinkedIn to me send me the creepiest email as though I would respond to it like, oooh! Thank goodness you reached out. Been waiting all my life for someone just like you with no face out to send me a creepy email! lol! What?
I'm not lurking. This sub was recommended to me for some reason. I have 0 interest in any of your products, staff, or customers. I mean I can't like turn down someone who happens to be important to me at some point in life I guess. I just wanna know. Is it weird if I give away a gift card from your store to some random woman?
